It’s frustrating that it doesn’t have much international recognition because it’s such a good university. Within the uk it always ranks as one of the best ones too!

@TheExPieRow I’d say look at all degrees that they offer - perhaps one of the two has a specific degree you might be interested in that the other does not - lets say like Bristol has a lot of finance degrees with a study abroad year - if you are interested in that. These are all finance degrees at Manchester - www.manchester.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/courses/2021/?k=finance; these are all finance degrees at Bristol - www.bristol.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/search/search_results?sort=score&dir=desc&sort=UndergraduateCourse-programname&dir=asc&query=finance&filter%3AUndergraduateCourse-year=2021. I’d say if you are interested in a pure finance degree, meaning the three year bachelors finance program - which both unis offer, I would personally go to Manchester due to its international reputation. Also its ranked higher than Bristol for “accounting and finance” on both QS, the UK league tables and it is higher for “business and economics” on THE. However, I’d do more research in your place, rankings are important - but other factors matter as well. I’d definitely talk to some people at both universities, you can just go on reddit (both unis have their own subreddit) and you will 100% find someone studying finance who is willing to share his/her experiences.
