The legend of the foundation of Lugdunum

According to the legend, the two brothers Momoros and Atepomaros having been chased from the throne by Seseroneos, came, according to the order of an oracle, to build a city at the mouth of the Rhone and the Saone. The workers had already made good progress in their work, when suddenly a flight of crows passed over their heads. Momoros, who was a powerful druid, saw a sign sent by the god Lug. He decided to call the city Lugdunum, which became several centuries later the city of Lyon.
