I got on a bike in Los Santos and wound up riding it for like 5 minutes straight doing jumps and making my way outside the city. I wound up in the country somewhere, super remote. I was shocked, I couldn't believe the absolute scale and freedom I was seeing. It was shocking in 2004, not a lot of console games could do that, especially ones that looked as good as GTA. I was sold. I played GTA San Andreas and Metal Gear Solid 3 around the same time, two of the greatest back to back games I had experienced maybe ever.

gtfokthx pc is more fun in my opinion . You don't have auto aim, so the always free-aim gives a feeling of freedom and it's more challenging, making the game more fun in my opinion. P.S.: I know you can use free-aim on PS2 but I think it feels kinda weird
