hands down the best call of duty to this day IMO. the maps were so great. the guns were so well balanced. kill streaks were amazing. I really think they are doing this modern warfare addition with infinite warfare to see if they can make enough money to do a remastered modern warfare series. I think if sales are good enough they will go through with it and we will see remastered version of mw2 and mw3. I would much rather have those then more boost jumping garbage and space warfare.
Ummm, the whole point of MW2 that differentiates it from other games/CODs is that it's broken. The gun balance is utter shit, and killstreaks are easy to get to/build upon. It's not very competitive, but still fun and more easily accessible to new[er] players than high skill/highly competitive games like Halo and Battlefield. The thing about those games is that it takes a lot of time and effort to learn. In MW2, you can just sprint around like an idiot with commando/tac knife, or camp, or one-man army noobtube dangerclose, or abuse aim assist by quickscoping, or cheese from across the map with the UMP45, or use the L86 to 2 shot people w/ stopping power, etc.. The point is, MW2's multiplayer was a poorly made mess that was unbalanced and benefited noobs. However, the chaos that was MW2 and its metagame made it fun. To some people at least.
It's funny too, 'cause Infinity Ward fired a bunch of people after MW2's release. That's also why the entire game didn't get properly patched. I mean c'mon, how do you explain the FAMAS w/ SP? Or any gun with SP? The only thing that they did well in terms of patching was the Model 1887.
you are right. MW2 is broken, but I still think it is best CoD (or CoD4 is, basically, i can hardly make a decision). MW2 had the most flavour, with all the crazy weapons, killstreaks etc, it was a brutal fast paced thing, where the only real skill that actually helped were good reflexes. The maps were also great. But yes, you could easily benefit yourself by using some bullshit broken thing, like the OMA with noob tubes (total nonsense). It is particullary funny how OP most of the guns are. I mean, the UMP had beyond AR-class damage (40-35), you could 2 shot anyone across the map with the L86 and the RPD, the secondaries were easily usable as primaries (G18 akimbo, M93R, SPAS12, etc.), and barely any gun had recoil (MP5K, F2000), But from your point of view, as a conclusion, was MW2 rather fun, or unplayable?
It's so weird seeing Sandy Ravage use a sniper. Just further proof that he's not a one trick pony. He's one of those players that can pick up a gun off the ground and get a nuke with it

I don't know if you've been watching this vid but there are clearly parts where SandyRavage snipes people and kills them in one shot, using a sniper rifle that's average at best. All the Sniper Rifles in this game except for the M21 can deal one shot kills almost every time, depending on if you have Stopping Power, there's even a XP reward for getting one shot kills with Snipers.
I'd give BOTH nuts to go back in '09 into the development process and have them scrap the idea of One Man Army, Danger Close, Commando, Deathstreaks and shotguns as primaries and we would without question or peer! Have the best cod for eternity no debate whatsoever!
hey man btw u dont need stopping power 4 that gun coz it makes 0 difference u could use lightweight pro or cold blooded pro but if u use scilencer u must use stopping power hope it helps
quik question do ac130s count twards your kill streaks? cause my kill streaks are emergency package emp and nuke and if i get a ac130 in my emergency package and get say 10 kills i dont get a EMP and even if i dont die.
Here is my take on camping: If you can camp in the same place for a really long time, either the map is unbalanced or you are really good at staying alive.
i remember watching this video when it first came out, and everyone agreed it was pro. But now harriers wouldn't kill a single guy, standing on that cliff would tear you a new one, and a 4/7/11 killstreak would be considered impractical. Oh for the golden times in mw2...

All the sniper rifles have it on the cap. You can't see the other ones though. You can se the barrets when you sprint.
