Johan Sjöblom I will pray for you and would like to help if I can ... but please also realize that Christians are being persecuted now, not only in places where there is no freedom of religion, but even in countries where there is supposed to be freedom of religion (although to different degrees) ... we all need to pray for one another, and we need to also ask the saints in heaven and even the souls in purgatory to pray for us, just as we also pray for them. May God bless and keep you and yours. Would you also kindly share how Christians are being persecuted in Finland please? Thank you.
BigGame Ryan... well, they are very full actually but having 4 masses on Sundays and the Saturday night mass spreads out the numbers. Then on Good Fridays and other days of the liturgical year where there is only one mass, everyone is there at the same time so there is standing from only and sometimes that's even too full
Bishop Barron, strange question but yesterday (Good Friday) I was listening to EWTN and you were at St Pat's Cathedral I believe. (I was at work so couldn't listen to it all) I figured it must be a passion service and it was a mix of you speaking with hymn and music interludes. I don't know if it was live or not but it was wonderful. Can you clue me in on what I heard and if I can find out where I can listen to it again? Honestly, I thought it was amongst your very best.
Kevin Fraser, indeed! I went a head and purchased it on Word on Fire 🔥. Worth every penny if it was a matter of money. Much bigger than that though. Glad it goes to a great cause.
Thank you for the responses, I was not aware that only archbishops wear the Pallium. Hopefully we will one day refer to the great Bishop as Archbishop Barron.
On good friday and holy saturday the church doesn't celebrate mass, and there are no holy hosts to adore. The focus of the celebration is on altar not on the tabernacle.
artman201 the chairs are in the background, if you see carefully the altar is in front. Dont forget that the Priest is also an Image of Christ, and not only, he acts in the person of Christ. Priest and altar are necessary to make present our most wonderful treasure: the real presence of Christ.
tim spangler . The mortal vessel he was in would have lasted another 60 years at most. He must have known he would come back in immotal form. What was sacrificed other than a mortal human body?
to anyone struggling, keep moving forward, it seems like we god is putting all souls through a trial of purgation
Stay strong.
How blessed are we his people in this Holy Season.
Thank you Bishop Barron for painting a picture in our minds of this reality.!

Happy Easter, Bishop!
This man should be the Pope , ''HAPPY EASTER Bishop Barren .
That was a very nice service!
Does anyone know what music is being played at the beginning and end of the video?
It is a chorale from Bach's St. Matthew Passion "О Haupt voll Blut und Wunden"
Kurt Lac thanks.
Looks quite a small parish. Here in Johannesburg, South Africa the churches burst at the seams at the Good Friday veneration service.
Lynn Cw They should burst every Sunday.

In the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, all the churches burst at the seams every Sunday too. We have the problem of needing bigger churches.

I think I may have found it.....was this the Tre Ore in 2014? Conviently on Word on Fire 🔥.... Perhaps my prayers were answered.
That’s what it was a recording. (I also listened to it.) Highly Recommended

Couldn't understand much, the audio isn't good.
Bishop Barron, I was wondering where your Pallium is, and if you have one yet?
He hasn't one because he is not an archibishop, yet.
Bishop Barron is only an Auxiliary Bishop of Los Angeles.
Thank you for the responses, I was not aware that only archbishops wear the Pallium. Hopefully we will one day refer to the great Bishop as Archbishop Barron.
I think that our God has very high purposes for bishop Barron. Let's pray for him and his ministry.
Why is the celebrant's chair in the middle? The focus should be on God in the tabernacle (even though He's not there on Good Friday), not on Man.
artman201 I was thinking the same where is my Lord, where has they taking him

To sit on???
Bishop Barron your voice is ruffle with echos. A clearer voice would be better to decipher.
Jesus' body was imoblie for a few days. Nobody even died. No sacrifice. No death. No sin removed.
The story makes no sense whatsoever.
tim spangler . If he died temporarily what exactly did he give up? I ask out of curiosity not doubt.
tim spangler . The mortal vessel he was in would have lasted another 60 years at most.
He must have known he would come back in immotal form.
What was sacrificed other than a mortal human body?
