I wish I would've grown up in a reformed theology church instead of the prosperity Gospel. It's a sickness in America. A trick and scheme of Satan. I wonder if I would've avoided incarceration and 2 decades of addiction. Nonetheless now I can relate to folks with similar struggles. I can speak from experience. And I have an amazing story of redemption and grace. Beauty for ashes. And I can give all the glory to God for keeping me through it all. And every accolade that exists I owe to Jesus for washing away my filthiness with His innocent blood. I thank God the Holy Spirit for leading me to Dr Baucham and Dr Sproul. The absolute truth of the Bible is in my opinion only taught through reformed theology. Thank you for this channel. The words spoken have an eternal reward through Christ our Lord.

My goodness what a sermon. Its so good in fact, hes convincing me of something which i already know to be a fact. I feel bad for people that arent capable of believing the gospel (a blatant truth for us). Me personally i had no biblical knowledge when i started believing. For years i was purged & chastised by the lord, and constantly tapped on the shoulder by him to turn from my ways. While being blinded and tormented by the enemy, which prevented me from doing so. I prayed. But i thought my then desperate & faithless ignorant prayers werent getting thru, till one night, at the end of my carnal self and ready to die, i asked god if he was real. And the next morning my life changed forever. Jesus had mercy on me, and since that morning i have immersed myself in god. I still have various afflictions, but im under my masters wing; curled up in my refuge and shelter. Praise the lord.

POWERFUL, POWERFUL message. So deep of teaching & preaching here in connection to faith in/by Doctrine of overcoming. While hearing this great & glorious teaching it makes me think of Hebrews 10:19 GO Boldly to The Holy of Hollies, Glory to God.
This exalt of teaching takes one on a journey in/to/through deeper faith unto the spiritual realm & of God's soverignty of BEing King of Kings & Lord of Lord's & in parable to get one to go "further" it then asks the question, IS HE King of Kings & Lord of Lord's to you! I call this understanding the parables of ignition. In order for a car to start it has to catch fire, correct. Read now Roman's 10:17 "Faith Come" BY hearing (&) hearing BY The "Word" of God. Well who/what IS "The Word of God" (see now John chapter 1 in power unto "specifically John 1:14"). I think now to Apostle Paul when he says "I am Not ashamed of The Gospel, for (IT) IS the Power unto Salvation".
Thank you R.C for your next level spiritual teachings in igniting one's faith unto the all powerful Roman's chapter 12 seeking of commandment in being "Seperate" from this falling pagan world BY this very power in/BY faith "Receivethe" continuance journey that you take us/me on in deciphering out The Gospel "Made Manifested" unto Hebrews 4:12 Power, Amen.
To even go deeper in connection it makes me think on this verse.
    2 Timothy 3:5
    King James Version
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
Lord I pray in your Power & in truth of your Ressurrection in that by Roman's 10:17 "Receivethe" , you ARE who you say you ARE! I will pickup my own cross & i will follow you Christ unto Galatians 2:20
understanding & BE John 3:3 & 3:5 & therefore go unto Hebrews chapter 6 Doctrine , "Doctrine of Reconciliation" as commanded to seek & do in submission by faith.
Glory be to God through Christ.

Mark Twain's later stories are more depressing than Poe because Samuel Clements daughter died and he became depressed and lost his sense of humor. The death of a child actually tends to end marriage they dont turn to each other but away from one another.

Kind of the purpose of R.C teachings on this. Kids are not to be idol worshipped so one's faith becomes in vane to then be disobedient to God's will & purpose. As this IS a reflection of one's "test" on if they are Truly God's.
I'm not saying & neither is R.C on not to mourn. There is however a Greater purpose at hand by faith & in obedience to God's "Word"! One requesting a divorce amidst these trials & tribulations should be questioning that persons faith to begin with in rebuke & in one's own reproof unto repentence that's a requirement to be able to walk in this very obedience that God's requirement.
Just as R.C said & Apostle Paul, has Not Christ risen, Amen. In faith we proceed to Hebrews 10:19 of command To GO Boldly in overcoming things that may hender us or keep us down from doing God's will. I'll leave you with this to ponder on & for God's power of conviction to you amidst your quote unto this teaching to you , to let God's "Word" marinate on you to ignite your reproof unto this very powerful teaching to you, Amen. See verse below & AWAKE to this teaching.
      Matthew 10:34-37
      King James Version
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

    "The Resurrection of Christ"
    Very interesting title, kind Sir...
For Jesus' resurrection entails his birth; then reaching 12 where He blew away all of the Jewish elders; and then when Moses and Elijah meets, Jesus, John, Peter and James; at the "Transfiguration"...
To his 3 yrs of preaching; and then being crucified; because 99% of ALL Jews hated him; which has not changed in the last 2,000 yrs. So they forced the Roman government to Crucify Jesus. And...
All this before he died (for only 3 days); and then He was resurrected. So the entire World of Christians believes that Jesus' blood on the cross is what paid for our sins. Oh really!
Consider this: There were TWO others on crosses; that went through the same thing Jesus did. And they didn't save any body! So what really is the payment that would save EVERY person; who became Born Again; from Creation to the END of the world? Huh?
I now; after 75 yrs of being a Born Again; believe that when Jesus died on the cross; he went to HELL literally in the tomb; where the fires were turned up times EVERY person; who would have ever lived on this planet!
And in essence, Jesus felt those fires (hotter) than any one could ever fathom for eternity. Even though it was only 3 earthly days on earth. But Jesus felt it to be eternity. And THIS paid for every sin there would ever be committed; SO...the Born Again could go to Heaven.
And the reason Jesus did this...Luke 22:42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine!
And Jesus cried out on the cross to the Father...Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
But Jesus KNEW that IF He did not go through that unbelievable "Lamb Sacrifice"; NO one would ever be saved. And the rest is History. Praise His Holy Name.
The ONLY God that would ever do that. Proving Jesus was, is and shall forever be the ONLY true God Almighty...
    End of story. AMEN!

I wonder - did no one ever challenge R.C.'s claim that "nowhere in scripture is there anything against grieving/mourning"?
    1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 (NIV)
13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.
    🤔

“Like the rest of mankind” is the key. And he addresses grief specifically at the end within this context.

    • @hershelharvell2364

No one had to challenge Sproul's view on grieving, for he did not say that "nowhere in Scripture is there anything said concerning a Christian's grieving and suffering."
He said, "that he did not know how this view has gotten around that the Scriptures teach that it is wrong for Christians to grieve."
He then goes on to show that that is a false concept and that the Scriptures DO teach that Christians grieve and suffer and that it is not wrong to grieve, for even Christ grieved over the death of Lazarus.
      Listen with understanding.

    • @artistswriter
      @artistswriter Рік тому +5

You've missed the point. It is that we DON'T mourn like the world. Of course we dont but if no mourning is allowed then Jesus was wrong to weep at Lazarus tomb.
