The situation is kinda like when you operate when you’re drunk. Anything can happen, as distracted while operating can lead to serious consequences, even death in some cases. That can partially be the reason that many surgeons, (including me in the future) do not have any distractions whilst operating, not even music. I’m so glad that the action was taken, and I hope so that the patients affected win their cases. And that is the reason why Doctors NEED to be serious at all times whilst working, cuz a bit of fun can cause permanent damage and repercussions.

The practice for teaching purposes is the surgery is recorded and later the surgeon records a voice over explaining the procedure. This prevents distractions during the procedure.
