Lemme tell you. As a skyblock player for almost 1.5 years, and been playing minecraft for 8, MCCI is the most fun i've ever had in Minecraft for over 2 years. It's so innovative, the currency is super cool, the games are super fun and addicting, and even though it's only 4 games rn, its way more fun than I thought it would be.
Don’t lie to yourself, skyblock isn’t fun, I play it, I just can’t stop, not because it’s fun, because of the addiction it causes to see numbers go up, you cannot escape
Yeah, there's definitely some new developments but the vast majority of what's being done today has always been possible; just goes to show how much room there is left for Minecraft to grow
Ah but there actually are servers that have continued to update to the newer versions, PvP Legacy started back in 2016, only over the past few years has it actually taken off.
All the cheaters hypixel has are going to cause it to fall if hypixel doesn't do something about it. And also cuz hypixel just isn't updating their gamemodes
Honestly glad hypixel’s finally getting some competition, they’ve been so stagnant so long they really need it. Btw another big server you should maybe take a look into, origin realms, it’s pretty much a massive smp server that’s basically just a vanilla modpack at this point,custom mobs,blocks, emotes,super revolutionary stuff
They were innovating more in 2013-2016 but yeah, less significant development even at the peak in 2020 with 2x-4x of peak 2015 players. New games are small arcade ones or half of them don't make it past prototype, though they keep ones old enough but can't come up with something like mega walls anymore. Also a lot of the older modes are hard to get into as a new player because how much skill and progression matters, since it's pretty much the older players playing them. Smash heroes and warlords are gonna be on the chopping block to be deleted next and I really hope it wouldn't happen

"mega walls" is the most unique gamemode with the mist potential on Hypixel and unfortunately they aren't taking advantage of it. It's the game that rose Hypixel's popularity early on

honestly, mcc island has been the most fun i have had on minecraft since like 2019-2020. It might not seem like it if you havent played, but the gamemodes are so different from anything else you can find
although on MCCI, I still feel that it can be partially revolutionary at least. If you take the server at a "how did they do that?" point of view, you might realize that they use really subtle mechanics, such as a fade to black, custom ui that feels non-vanilla, and also the coin and gem count about the health and hunger. Although everything i mentioned is just a different variation of the /title command, they use commands to their fullest extent to make everything about it really smooth and seamless, even in beta
hypixel probably wont die anytime soon as i think most people think of it as a middle ground between competive and casual, example being how in bedwars someone whos team isnt as skilled as the others can still win as long as they get the other time while their guard is down. obv this wont be the case for insanely tryhard teams but you get the point.
Tubnet and MCC Island are popular solely due to the amount of times it's being plugged by people's favorite youtubers, not necessarily due to their own merits. I haven't seen a good server since 2017
I don't know, I have heard literally nothing but praise for MCC Island from everyone I've seen that's played it, and Tubnet (though less finished) has been nice during their crystal rush previews!
I kind of agree with this but in like an inverse way. I think they’re only as popular cuz they’re getting plugged by UA-camrs, but that doesn’t mean they’re bad, just they’re the only servers lucky enough to have that. There’s probably plenty of servers that have just as good, if not higher, quality and fun in them, but it’s IMPOSSIBLE to get popular with big name servers like hypixel around. Hopefully with these other servers popping up with the help of UA-camrs, it will help more small servers grow in popularity cuz now everyone’s searching for “the next hypixel” or whatever lol. Or maybe you’ll still need to be a streamer to have ur server get popular. We’ll see I guess.
it wont be a legendery battle, tubnet is going to just perish. even if u look in just twich stats(the main platform the creators are based on) the dream smp scene has decrased by a LOT. the toxic community around the dream SMP, the hatred towards its stans and much more will cause a flood of cheaters to exploit game mechanics. hypixel probs dont even care about it as they will just crush them as they crushed all other hyped servers in the past 8+ years

I'm not a big SMP player but I imagine that a huge draw of newer servers is that they can run the latest versions of Minecraft, while a lot of the old servers are stuck on really old versions from well over 5 years ago like 1.12 or 1.8 or even 1.7! 1.13 - 1.19 have added so much to the game that the older versions now feel obsolete rather than just a little behind. But since a lot of servers couldn't or didn't update with each release, they're now so behind that it's too late and updating would break everything...
Now, The thing is that the majority of hypixel players are on 1.8.9, and pvp based, and tubbonet is going to be 1.19+, because bedrock doesnt use the same combat mechanics. That would be the killer for me, causing me not to play
i'm really hoping legacy combat servers can step up their game too and make the most of 1.8 everything is so stale now and the only thing worth playing is prac/duels because the gamemodes arent really much different from survival games back in 2013
origin realms is also a work in progress server that is going to make mod-like content very accessible to people who dont understand how modded works, all without having to download anything
Quit minecraft about a year ago, all of my longtime online friends are in college now, and so am I. Still talk to them daily though, minecraft gameplay was getting quite dry anyway, I'm glad that there are other servers being created with high potential, maybe one day our group will all join minecraft again and we'll start on an entirely different server.
I don't play MC anymore but I've had some amazing times on Hypixel between 2014-2019. I hope Hytale becomes popular and Hypixel moves its focus to that game instead, so new Minecraft servers like Tubnet can become leading in Minecraft.
When talking about creators, I think you missed a massive opportunity to talk about the SMP creator rush. People like Rekrap, Parrot, and Rasplin have been making lots of content on MCCI just showcasing how fun it is and they moved from skywars videos on Hypixel and are only growing. I didn't even know this server was a thing until one of the lifesteal members made a video on it because I haven't been keeping up with MCC much.
One good server like this is Origin Realms. Even though it's only survival, there is so much content already and so much more being added (like the latest minecraft mob vote mobs)
I think these servers sound to good to be true normally servers like this are normally filled with bugs and the server dies in around a few months after release
tbh, from the tubnet tests that i've played, it's just overhyped. there's nothing special in the first 2 games. The games are basic and are disguised by the amazing resource pack if hypixel is getting competition, it's probably going to come from MCCI, haven't played it yet, but it looks pretty fun
I have been trying to run a server called lorecraft on my network the legit network and I spent literally weeks making the servers and advertising them but NOBODY cared which really hurt. I will continue trying though because it isn’t a bad network it’s just nobody cares. I only don’t try to monetize the server in any way I just want it to be a fun server
The only huge issue with tubnet is that it will have a horrible anticheat. If it stays as a cross play then the issue is that bedrock players have higher reach, bigger hitboxes and strange movement that can make standing on an ender chest flag fly somehow. The anti-cheat will we worse than hypixels and players may rage as the hacker count grows. Even if there is somehow separate anticheats for java and bedrock java clients can override that by sending packets (info example: breaking a block) and send a packet saying they are on bedrock completely giving access to bad bypasses.
the thing the i like the most about hypixel is the 1.8 compabilty, cus all these new servers have 1.9 combat which many players dont like. and if you try do bring 1.8 combat gamemodes to 1.9 combat some wouldnt be fun any more and if you want them to be fun they would need a lot of rework like the hypixel pit
The hatred for 1.9 combat has been dying, especially because of MCC the last few years making people realize it isn’t as awful as all of the UA-camrs made it out to be. The niche group of people who only play on 1.8 servers is quickly dying. New servers that stick with 1.8 are only going to confuse new players who don’t understand why the entire way fighting works is different, which will deter people from playing. Servers should and need to embrace 1.9 combat.
@@technoboop1890 Especially sense there are in game commands that nullify the main complaint about the 1.9. Combat update. That being the slower combat speed; this can be fixed by either using custom weapons with there own unique attack speeds. Funny thing is if commands are to high tech there are other ways to fix the problem, such as applying haste 2 on all players.
I think hipixel games other than skybock and hipixel are actually diying but personally Having been playing for almost 4 years. I have never seen lobby’s fill up faster on bedwars faster. I do however agree with the fact multiplayer I returning to save Minecraft multiplayer

niether, mark my words hypixel will stay on top in the long run. a large majority of hypixels players are skyblock commited grinders who dont want to move on, in addition MccI and tubnet mainly share the dsmp toxic 10 year old stan base which will make the communitys extremely toxic making all non-10 year olds not appealed at all to the multi player aspect.

Eh, not really. Hypixel is still a dying server, but Minecraft in general is dying. Hypixel is still the most played server. There legitimately are still no servers that even come close to Hypixel's player count, even though the player count is almost an 1/8 of what it was back in 2021. Even Hoplite is barely getting 1,000 players, which is barley 2.5% of Hypixel's players.
This is not competition for hypixel, 1.8 pvp and 1.12+ pvp are so far apart that you cannot compare the two, they're basically two different games at this point and have two different communities. Also we've yet to see how these new servers are going to handle the waves of hackers and bots that will inevitably come after the full release or whatever
I do think hypixel player count is going down, but it is not dying. the pandemic numbers will never happen again, and I think one way or another hypixel will stay on top.
I recently just bought the official minecraft because I wanted to try Hypixel. I have realised that the player count was was lower compared to when I watched streamers play before.
I cant wait till they go public (hopefully)! I love multiplayer, ive always played with my brother on xbox when I was younger and had noone to play with except him. Now that he's in college he cant spend the even little time we had before to play with me anymore. So i've been really enjoying playing on smps with freinds and taking a break from that and hopping on hypixel. I usually only play Bedwars cause thats what im best at and enjoy the most, even though I havent played that much. I also don't watch Tubbo/dsmp so I never knew TubNet existed! I'll definitely look more into it :)
It's kind of ironic that hypixel grew exponentially after all these hypixel is dying videos came out Don't really care about tubbnet but with MCC Island. There is pretty much no chance that will ever be anything other than a niche server for all the terminally online MCC viewers that base their whole personality around that event.
I got java edition in 2015, when 1.8.9 was the most recent update. Now, 7 years later, my favorite servers are still stuck in 1.8.9. I can't wait for big servers to finally move to the newer versions.
I'm the opposite, I joined in 2018 when 1.12 was the latest version and I've been on 1.8.9 for the last 3 years because the latest ones suck balls. I'm dreading the switch to 1.19 (I don't even think it will happen)

I'm a sky block player since it was released and I play Minecraft for 8-9 years and I can tell you, hypixel is still alive, but not as close to what it used to be. It's fun when they show different game modes for us to play, but they are dying slowly. Last week I wanted to play warlords with my friends but there was 0 players on queue... Skyblock is still good, but it looks like they are trying to kill it, lol. Things are a bit weird with hypixel. I will test the other two new servers, they look fun (when they get released).
me when compititon = tubnet with maybe 100 people on at once and mcci witch is still in beta and still only has about 1k ppl on at one compared to a server with 50k on at once
With hypixel's size you cant decide whether you should be formal or not, and every server is well connected at the start but when you have to manage a network that's too large like hypixel you can't really be well connected & work it and they started to pay more attention to it, and that's just the social media, not the discord servers, and with developer updates, it's happening every once in a while, in forums and the discord server and hypixel as the corp, not the staff has to be formal, but the admins talk directly and care, As for the geezer multi-platform support, it's very hard for a network as extensive as hypixel to recode EVERYTHING to fit well with bedrock and you should remember, hypixel's back end is 1.7.9. At the same time, the tubnet is higher, and it's not as easy for hypixel to make games based on other games. Tbh I'm not hating on tubnet, in fact, I'm hoping for it to succeed because hypixel is being too comfy on its throne, it should have a bit of a challenge, so we MC players are the one who is going to benefit as competition makes both servers better.

It's been confirmed bedrock players will only get in games with other bedrock players so the pvp and overall mechanics will probably stay the same.

i didn't even realise until you said it, but yes MCCI is def similar to Bedrock Servers like Cubecraft and Hive in particular.

Hypixel literally averages 100k in peak hours and it has a whole different audience (1.8) while MCCI and Tubnet have 1.19
It used to, but Hypixel hasn't hit 100k since February. Recent peaks are at about 65k with lows of about 20k.

I was a housing addict from 2019-2021 but the quality/quantity just isn’t there anymore.
I have been trying to run a server called lorecraft on my network the legit network and I spent literally weeks making the servers and advertising them but NOBODY cared which really hurt. I will continue trying though because it isn’t a bad network it’s just nobody cares. I only don’t try to monetize the server in any way I just want it to be a fun server
The only huge issue with tubnet is that it will have a horrible anticheat. If it stays as a cross play then the issue is that bedrock players have higher reach, bigger hitboxes and strange movement that can make standing on an ender chest flag fly somehow. The anti-cheat will we worse than hypixels and players may rage as the hacker count grows. Even if there is somehow separate anticheats for java and bedrock java clients can override that by sending packets (info example: breaking a block) and send a packet saying they are on bedrock completely giving access to bad bypasses.
the thing the i like the most about hypixel is the 1.8 compabilty, cus all these new servers have 1.9 combat which many players dont like. and if you try do bring 1.8 combat gamemodes to 1.9 combat some wouldnt be fun any more and if you want them to be fun they would need a lot of rework like the hypixel pit
Funny how both 1.9 and 1.19.1 are both controversial updates, makes one wonder what’s to come in 1.29.
1.8 has decent combat but when we are more than 10 updates ahead it makes hypixel extremely lacking and it just feels like it needs to move on.
The hatred for 1.9 combat has been dying, especially because of MCC the last few years making people realize it isn’t as awful as all of the UA-camrs made it out to be. The niche group of people who only play on 1.8 servers is quickly dying. New servers that stick with 1.8 are only going to confuse new players who don’t understand why the entire way fighting works is different, which will deter people from playing. Servers should and need to embrace 1.9 combat.
@@technoboop1890 Especially sense there are in game commands that nullify the main complaint about the 1.9. Combat update.
That being the slower combat speed; this can be fixed by either using custom weapons with there own unique attack speeds.
Funny thing is if commands are to high tech there are other ways to fix the problem, such as applying haste 2 on all players.
Honestly, I feel like 1.9+ combat is actually better than 1.8. Change my mind.

I think hipixel games other than skybock and hipixel are actually diying but personally Having been playing for almost 4 years. I have never seen lobby’s fill up faster on bedwars faster. I do however agree with the fact multiplayer I returning to save Minecraft multiplayer

niether, mark my words hypixel will stay on top in the long run. a large majority of hypixels players are skyblock commited grinders who dont want to move on, in addition MccI and tubnet mainly share the dsmp toxic 10 year old stan base which will make the communitys extremely toxic making all non-10 year olds not appealed at all to the multi player aspect.

Eh, not really. Hypixel is still a dying server, but Minecraft in general is dying. Hypixel is still the most played server. There legitimately are still no servers that even come close to Hypixel's player count, even though the player count is almost an 1/8 of what it was back in 2021. Even Hoplite is barely getting 1,000 players, which is barley 2.5% of Hypixel's players.
I just want to see if hypixel ss and the rise client devs will really be able to burn tubnet to the ground once it’s released

This is not competition for hypixel, 1.8 pvp and 1.12+ pvp are so far apart that you cannot compare the two, they're basically two different games at this point and have two different communities.
Also we've yet to see how these new servers are going to handle the waves of hackers and bots that will inevitably come after the full release or whatever

I do think hypixel player count is going down, but it is not dying. the pandemic numbers will never happen again, and I think one way or another hypixel will stay on top.

I cant wait till they go public (hopefully)! I love multiplayer, ive always played with my brother on xbox when I was younger and had noone to play with except him. Now that he's in college he cant spend the even little time we had before to play with me anymore. So i've been really enjoying playing on smps with freinds and taking a break from that and hopping on hypixel. I usually only play Bedwars cause thats what im best at and enjoy the most, even though I havent played that much. I also don't watch Tubbo/dsmp so I never knew TubNet existed! I'll definitely look more into it :)

Don't really care about tubbnet but with MCC Island. There is pretty much no chance that will ever be anything other than a niche server for all the terminally online MCC viewers that base their whole personality around that event.

I got java edition in 2015, when 1.8.9 was the most recent update. Now, 7 years later, my favorite servers are still stuck in 1.8.9. I can't wait for big servers to finally move to the newer versions.

I'm the opposite, I joined in 2018 when 1.12 was the latest version and I've been on 1.8.9 for the last 3 years because the latest ones suck balls. I'm dreading the switch to 1.19 (I don't even think it will happen)
@@AntarcticIceCap I partially agree. 1.8 combat is far better than 1.9+, but all the other new mechanics and blocks would enhance the major server experience so much. It'd open up so many new possibilities.

I'm a sky block player since it was released and I play Minecraft for 8-9 years and I can tell you, hypixel is still alive, but not as close to what it used to be. It's fun when they show different game modes for us to play, but they are dying slowly. Last week I wanted to play warlords with my friends but there was 0 players on queue... Skyblock is still good, but it looks like they are trying to kill it, lol. Things are a bit weird with hypixel. I will test the other two new servers, they look fun (when they get released).

With hypixel's size you cant decide whether you should be formal or not, and every server is well connected at the start but when you have to manage a network that's too large like hypixel you can't really be well connected & work it and they started to pay more attention to it, and that's just the social media, not the discord servers,
and with developer updates, it's happening every once in a while, in forums and the discord server and hypixel as the corp, not the staff has to be formal, but the admins talk directly and care,
As for the geezer multi-platform support, it's very hard for a network as extensive as hypixel to recode EVERYTHING to fit well with bedrock and you should remember, hypixel's back end is 1.7.9.
At the same time, the tubnet is higher, and it's not as easy for hypixel to make games based on other games.
Tbh I'm not hating on tubnet, in fact, I'm hoping for it to succeed because hypixel is being too comfy on its throne, it should have a bit of a challenge, so we MC players are the one who is going to benefit as competition makes both servers better.
Also, hypixel is putting huge resources of devs artists etc on hytale.
