- A hungry bird is trying to catch a duckling, but it escapes before it can be caught. The crows and magpies are meat-eating predatory birds, and they, along with the gull and the heron, have been hunting and attacking and eating the ducklings on this duck pond from the start of the ducks' breeding season, and their attacks are very hard to stop because the ducks haven't got the necessary skills to adequately defend themselves and their ducklings. Ducks are aquatic waterbirds that live on freshwater and seawater; ducks don't have the predatory instinct to hunt, but they will eat small water and land animals, plants, and insects. A female duck is known as a pen, and a male duck is known as a drake; the duckling is a tiny baby duck with no avian flight feathers but fluffy plumage, and a young or adolescent duck is much more giant and more confident as a food forager with their avian flight feathers almost grown, and spending less time close to the mother duck. The magpie is a species of omnivorous bird from the Corvidae family of birds that includes ravens, rooks, nutcrackers, jays, and magpies that eat various animals and carrion for their meat-eating diets and a variety of seeds and grains, fruits and nuts, and almost anything they can find when they are foraging and feeding. Magpies have a predatorial instinct to attack, hunt, and eat other animals they can handle, such as rats, mice, and other small mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. The magpies will also eat other birds and their babies, especially during the avian breeding seasons, and this type of predator eats animal prey; feeding behavior has evolved over millions of years to enable them to have an extensive menu of wild protein-rich food. Food eaten without chewing is how magpies and all birds eat their food because they have no teeth for crushing, and dining on big or small portions by swallowing in gulps is how they feed. The magpies are avian animals that can be found living and breeding in many habitats throughout the world.
I can almost hear the Scottish terrier asking “Are you ok Lad?” and the duckling replying “Aye sir, l’m well. Gotta go see mummy now.”
Then the Scotty saying “aye good to hear lad, much love to your mum.”
lmao
This should be a children's book titled, "The Lucky Duckling"
I saw that movie on Netflix, not bad.

The bird: waiting will make the duckling bigger, because my brain is bigger as well
0:20 "oh no" the duckling is literally a sitting duck
That was the cutest thing when they sat on the lily pads
Crows (Corvidae) are not predators per se but rather opportunistic omnivores which are able to take advantage of a wide variety of prey and non-prey items. If they were predators they would enjoy more efficient attack strategies so as to avoid inefficient energy loss. This Magpie was taking advantage of a possible prey item struggling in front of it but it wasn't prepared at all to persue it. Additionally, the Mallard chick was in an inappropriate habitat (on land) and so much more vulnerable. Herons and gulls are more efficient and wily predators of ducks and there is a habitat overlapp.
Ducklings- cutest little birds ever
*trip*
"Guess I'll die"
can't believe how cute that duckling is!
I can't believe how unpredatory that Magpie is. Sheesh..talk about a disappointment
and than a heron came...
bruh
i came from that video too. Sorry i took 9 months to see it.
we could be best bros by now
Nevin Rhymer a heron would probably ignore the chick and eat the dog honestly...
FOR REAL!!
Adorable duck child takes bath on the leaf
You cant say you wouldn’t run like that if you saw a hungry MadPie running after you. I’m sorry I know that was cringey but that’s the only thing I could think about this whole video. I think I’m hungry 🤣, and pie really sounds good right now
Holy Shit that duckling can run fast
First and awesome vid dude
tambahkan orang lesbian
Run Forrest run!🐥
Poor lil mallard baby duckling
That dog is a national hero.
There was a baby pigeon knocked from it's nest by a hungry crow. I happened to come along as the crow was attempting to fly off w it in its beak, but the baby pigeon was too heavy and the crow dropped it. As I was picking the baby pigeon up the crow was sitting on top of a nearby street sign waiting to see what was going to happen. I picked the baby pigeon up and remembered that there's a bird sanctuary in our town that cares for such orphans. Thank you Jesus!
OK... But still it's nature so if your salty about the camera man not doing anything to save the duckling just stop, feeling bad for the duckling is OK, but blaming the camera man is not the way to go
@@Vyndigo 😑
Omg people! There's this thing called natural selection. If you really care about nature, stop saying "why didn't you help it"
sammy man9000 but we are part of nature so if we help an animal isn‘t it also natural selection?
@@GustavAstep well i get where you're coming from but when it comes to being the dominant spruce on our planet, its our job to protect nature and keep it around for a long time. Sure we cut down trees and use fossil fuels but we don't interfere with predator/prey moments. It wouldn't be fair. Besides they way we live doesnt seem very natural to me
Who cares just save it
@@inflixo36 people who care about nature care thats who
@@inflixo36 bro it's nature get over it, that bird could have hungry chicks to feed and you wanna keep it away from its food, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't give a care in the world if you we're that bird, so what's the point
that baby duck got the squad and the magpie runnin XDDDDDD
Where the heron at?
God these ducklings are cute 🤩
cutest
seriously u are the funnier heron
Yeah, especially when it's sitting in a magpie's tummy.
The duckling fell... the magpie came along to ‘help him up’....
So the dude recording just let the duckling swim in the opposite direction of its family? Lmao
The dog deserves a medal. Doggie to the rescue. Glad to see every thing turned out fine. Thanks for sharing this Paul. Thumbs up.☺♥♥☺
Dee W nature meal wasted from that magpie
I disliked the video because they just took a video thinking and knowing that the duckling was gonna die.
@@lpstaylor5816 so your gonna shame someone just for taking a video of nature... Wow
First of all that bird could have hungry chicks to feed or is starving
Second of all if you were that bird you wouldn't give a care in the world
Third of all you shouldn't have clicked on this video then, and a animal trying to catch another animal for food is natural and a rare sighting of course someone would want to film it, it's OK to feel bad for the duckling, but blaming the recorder is not OK
where are the Herons?
Ducks & Dogs are some of my favorite animals and pets!
Dogs eat ducks.
Why does everything eat ducklings. I get it's nature but it's just so cruel.
theyre delicious and defenceless....btw it's not cruel. Humans are cruel, not animals.
Definition- causing pain or suffering.
Nature can be cruel. Even if it is natural. I wasn't asking but have your own opinion and I'll have mine.
Can't See Me. That‘s true sometimes nature can be so brutal/cruel, for example, it can happen that a crocodile eats his own babies
Cruel? Grow up.
That little duckling was moving!...Webbed feet on land not always helpful-a faithful scottie in the nick of time...
the dog barked and scared off magpie. you can see magpie looking in direction of the event and s/he flew away.
Is that a female Magpie?
Thank you dog I'm so glad the ducklings found its mum and was safe again it must be hard having 5+ adventurous ducklings to look after.xx
🐕: I'm not really sure what I did but, your welcome?
What happened to him
Nice one Toto x
the dog is a hero. whoever recording that is not.
Dmitri Kazantsev So one is a hero for interfering with natural selection? Predators need to eat as well. Only the strongest, smartest, and fastest ducklings survive. That away they will give their traits to their offspring so that their species may survive.
Predators keep nature in balance by killing off the weak animals.
This is nature, it is brutal which is why it is in balance.
Actually supose to be the same with humans, but you still here...
Jose Carlos Gallardo lol no it’s not we are wayyyy more intelligent that’s why we are technically apex predators
Jose Carlos Gallardo
We're apex predators dipshit😂
yup thats how life goes that dog is a hero instead of an ahole cheering on death
Was that a magpie?
but the real question is, whos the dogs owner? a dog cant just come out of nowhere, unless it was planned by the recorder
WHO TF WAS SITTING THERE WATCHING IT HAPPEN
Citruspolsion Spud Predators need to eat too. This is natural selection. It keeps nature in balance.
Yusuf Islam no. You chose one animal to starve saving another. And ducks mean. Fuck them.
Notthefather
Lol when my mother was pregnant with me she said She got attacked by a swan.
I wonder why birds hate me
A puppy is a pet you fool. These are wild animals.
It’s nature :/ everybody needs to eat
what the price of this kind duck?
Nice video, man! Thanks for sharing!
i wouldn't have interfered either. otherwise you are saving one animals life just to condemn the other one to starvation
꧁Mike Sully꧂ well said
You're letting that shit eat a fkin baby
Thats what im saying no sense of justice? I get humans are animals to but where the humanity at? To see a defenseless creature get killed now if it was grown and a fair fight..... But its not
I hate when ppl say that.. Im not starving him...he just cant eat right now! Maybe later
There's plenty of other food sources. The magpie could just eat food remains from a trashcan.
I didn't see the dog save shit. The duckling was in the water before the dog came along.
alan30189 I totally agree with you
alan30189 😂😭😭
Looks like the dog stopped the magpie from eating the duck while it was on its back by distracting it, but yeah we never actually saw the dog at that time
I hate watching these, I love watching these, I hate that I love watching these
Stop saying "you are all stupid, its a part of nature" who tf cares, just help a lil homie out
That's why ducks have so many ducklings bcoz they have so many predators. Makes sense. XD
Omg this black and white bird looks like a microraptor
that dog is a hero
You all gotta remember that this is nature and not a Disney movie. The person recording doesn't have to do anything. It's the exact same deal with an animal documentary, yet you don't bitch on those videos, do ya?
Me gustó cuándo él pájaro le salva a el patito
If I ever saw a magpie, seagull, heron, or any other flying piece of shit attacking a defenseless ducking IT WOULD NOT HAVE A HEAD LEFT TO EAT.
indudablemente las madres son tan sabías.
So what preys on a magpie? Put more of those in that park. Problem solved.
Thank goodness there was a human to "help" film this...
@@Vyndigo Exactly, I get the point.
safe for today, be eaten by another day.
Heiron fav snack
It had nothing to do with that dog. it was the water that saved the duckling from both the bird and the dog.
Its crazy how a litlle duck comes to an adult.... so many predators, even a big fish can eat then
Why the fuck does everybody just sit there and record it?!?!?!?!
yep, natural selection
+Mika Sz yeah go fuck yourself id slap the shit out of you humans are part of nature ill smash that things head in with a rock i need to eat so ill whatever kills or tries to kill baby ducks or baby goose
+Shadow God so are humans ill kill that crow
+Shadow God so are humans ill kill that crow
NatalieSullivan12202 yeah i agree with you Why dont people just help the animals that are being attacked from other animals ensted of watching and recording
it's called Nature. Nature could give less of a fuck bout Morals.
0:06 spot the family of ducks
holy shit, how many animals eat ducklings???
A good video
RUN DUCKY RUN!!!!!!!!!
Plot Twist: you lied about the duckling being saved so you made something up so youd feel better. Hence why it wasnt recorded
Linda perrita.
Can duckling beat the heron?
I felt so sad when the duckling tripped
i love this video
Why
In the heck
Is that description that long?
That is the most yellow grass I have ever seen
these were cute duckling
Why don't you just save the duckling instead of getting this video?
Franzie Poot I love ducks all my life they are beautiful animals cute
Do you wanna be a duck?
Way to spoil the ending with the title.
Smart little guy. 😁
It is okay to feel bad for animals, however it is not okay to tell others how they should feel. Everyone reacts to things differently. Some will accept it, others will be outraged. It's just human nature.
And a bird eating a duckling is nature to, if ppl can't accept that they shouldn't have clicked on this video, how will anyone learn to let things go
Dogs are awesome.
Why didnt you help it
Because that would be interfering with nature
MAJESTUOSO ES EL DIOS QUÉ NOS AMA TANTO, QUÉ NO NOS ALCANZARA LA EXISTENCIA PARA DELEITAR NUESTROS SENTIDOS CON SU ASOMBROSA Y ESPECTACULAR CREACIÓN. Amén !!! TU ERES EL SOL DE ESTE MUNDO, EL ASTRO DE TODO ASTRO en los firmamentos..

One obvious question- WHY DID T U ATLEAST TRY TI HELP THE DUCK
Incredibly lucky duck.
Wonderful

looks like the bird wasn't so hungry
you dump read what its says with big appetite
If it was not the dog ?
I feel bad for the magpie
Why you not help?
Yes she made it 😂🤣 that was so Cute
Poor Magpie...it lost its Quack Snack.
I would have scared the other bird away
Why? Don't be a prick and interfere.
Every one hates on the magpie but if it was a cat every one would be fine with it wtf
It cycle of nature.
how to look , and carried the mouth of the duck
You're mean I mean pirate your posture can't bath and the little ship
What's that duckling doing alone 😒
i’m sorry but i could watch that i would have to do something
The dog did absolutely nothing
Run
how come the person who is using the camera didnt try to save the duckling!!
Because life. Animals need to eat, too.
Because that would be interfering with nature
Still.. That is mean.
@@lpstaylor5816It's really not.
@@lpstaylor5816 oh stfu
Good job dog... u saved a life
Life of ducklings must suck, enemies from above and below
I would've helped the duckling myself.
but then the duckling gets eaten again in another video
