Whenever I see videos about them reacting to the past or something and they have Bakugou acting like he never meant it or just swept what he did under the rug, I always wondered why nobody took the approach that Bakugou did it to protect Izuku because he was quirkless! Especially when it was a dkbk/bkdk video or them being friends again This is the first video I've personally seen taking that approach and so I thank you for this! 😂😂

She is not the best mother, and nobody would be able to be raised in that environment and come out fully unscathed even with the super nice counterbalance of Masaru being there. Let's face it, he would never have the guts to stand up to his wife even if he wanted to, especially when it comes to disciplining Katsuki
In this AU maybe but Kat bullying izuku was not to protect him, he already said why he did it and it was all in his head 🤷♀️ His mother yes may not be the best mother but till now all the mothers shown in the show suck and affected their children bad, but katsuki was that way even before they were what 4 years old, bullying izuku was his doing not his mother not his father, his doing, and he knows that and is trying to change for only that reason Loving a character doesn't mean turning a blind eye for his faults and blaming someone else for it 🤷♀️

He always thought of himself as better than the other children because he was smarter and more talented than some of them. However, after his quirk came in even teachers starting showering him with praise and saying it was the perfect quirk for a strong hero and it went to his head. Also, remember after Katsuki got kidnapped? His mother didn't act worried even in front of his teachers, saying it was his fault for being so weak. It gives the impression she's always had this "you need to be the strongest and the best" attitude towards her son which would affect his way of thinking and his mannerisms. On top of his own childhood arrogance, this wouldn't have helped him in the slightest, it wouldn't have got him to learn that he won't always be able to win, that he will need help sometimes and that's okay. I am not saying this excuses his behaviour at all, far from it. I also am aware of his reasons in canon however I did only say in videos in my original comment, as in the gacha videos I watch on youtube. I didn't mean to make it sound like this is why I believed he did what he did in canon so I apologise if it came across that way. I really did just mean in yt videos and au's. x

Katsuki's actions are unjustifiable, fueled by society's expectations and his peers. Nothing excuses bullying, especially to the extremes Katsuki took it including illegal quirk usage. I can see where you're coming from in concerns to Mitsuki, there are times and places for her parenting methods but at the same time, there are situations when maybe a gentler approach might have worked better, especially after being in a traumatising situation like getting kidnapped. Adding to his own thoughts already circling about being too weak and blaming himself. After that situation, I feel like he already knows the world would eat him alive and didn't need his mum adding to that right then. Maybe later on when he's had time to start getting over the trauma but not immediately. Besides that, can we just agree that somebody needs to get class 1-a a therapist already after everything they've been put through 😂😂
