Well if you hear some beeping noise after you get near a main entrance,take your belongings and run immediately.It could be a security system keypad beeping as it do the entrance delay(count down timer for people to disarm system before alarm sounds)
Wow that’s crazy I love abandoned places but I watched exploring with Alec go to this one and when he got in the beeping noise went off but he cut the video so I didn’t get to see what the alarm sounded like lol.
I went there a few months ago with my other half. There was a security van parked on the grounds and unfortunately we couldn't find a way in! Would have been great to explore in there

The first dark room you went Into was the simulator. You went in and the sides came up and the screen came on. It gave you the story of the creation of fireworks. I remember going in every day for a week when I went with the summer school for an inventors week. My ex pressed the big red button shown upstairs and it turned off all the electricity in the whole building. Will never forget it.
Glasgow is the most populous city in Scotland. So it literally stole the fame of the “Big idea”. Guess you could call the Glasgow Science Center the “Even Bigger Idea”. 😂
I wonder if anyone has diagrams of this area. Maybe for urbexers could plot locations of security devices. I’m an electrician and know lots about alarms. I’d locate the panel and pull the mains and disconnect the backup battery (if applicable) of course the bellbox may still trigger since they contain there own NiCd battery but once that runs down assuming nobody arrives to check and figues out how to fix it then great.

It’s so weird that it could just be re opened one day with little repair after being abandoned for years
yeah but i don't think it would make money to be honest as there's a better science centre in Glasgow! that's what took business away from ths place

I have a pretty well drawn map of the area, security is extra tight now though. the science centre has touch sensor fences now
