I didn’t know i could be Christian and be a creative until i heard bedroom lofi. And i struggle with creating with people in Long Beach because I also want my work to glorify God. It’s so easy to make secular art but I’ve done enough of that. So thank you for making this because this showed me I’m not alone.

love this man, I was honestly afraid of telling people I was a christian especially as a photographer/videographer being on jobs. I've learned out of a lot of challenges and nudges from God that my creativity is not something of this world, neither is anyone else's, but the creativity that lives within us is the same creativity that God has. We were given this as we are built in the same image of God. And I do like how you pointed out how the church hasn't really done that great of a job producing content to the best of it's abilities. As Colossians 3:23-24 says, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ."
What a great topic for us Christian artists. We definitely run into alot of these moral dilemmas/questions which can prove to be a hindrance to our creative freedom, that the world doesn't even consider at all. One of the psalmists in Psalm 150 said, "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord". They also said "praise him with the lute, the lyre, the cymbals, the stringed instruments", (and many more) showing the fact that God doesn't care what instrument that you use, but that you honor Him in all that you do. I'm glad that you're trying to glorify God in all you do, Montell.

As a "newbie" creator, I'm not allowing anything to tame the liberty of creativity. I've learnt to allow my madness to run wild, yet being sensitive to God and not the opinion of another. I'm seeking to please Him, not the world, or any other man. I feel like that's the Genesis of sincere innovation. Truth.
I remember watching a video by Josh Keefe titled, "The Problem with Christian Music" and it completely revolutionized my thinking on how Christian music is now versus how it really should be. That video has helped to look at artists less noticed like you, Josh Garrels, Rivers and Robots, Ecclesia, and Rich Mullins. I do believe our Christian music should be more creative than what it is and I do believe that you can be the one to start that reformation. I'm standing behind that vision and believing that God can and will use you in this season as long as you trust Him. I feel that you can do this and become that teacher to help others see the beauty in everything that is our Christian life, even the sad/broken moments and trials we have. You are a great Christian artist and I'm glad I got to find your music. I hope that other people can get behind what you are doing here and help change the way we all see things as believers in the body of Christ.
Titus 1:15 "Unto the pure all things are pure..." We should see Christian music as that art form to give back to God for all that He has done for us but it should not all be in one box to where if a song doesn't have certain requirements then it is not deemed Christian. It should be more open since God is an infinite God.
I agree. I think the issue in some of the churches today as u said your gifts to glorify God or give worship to Him with your gifts..in churches That I grew up in they suck the life out of your gift and lie to u that u should only use it in church and not outside of church . which is a lie. Smh. So your not alone on how u feel about creative's. I'm a Christian creative. But always been placed in a box.

Because I also feel the same way. For too long we Christians have boxed ourselves up. We stick to the only formula we know and are afraid of trying new things. Yet Psalm 144: 9 says "I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee" So basically we need to be creative! New songs must be sung! New ideas must come up! And your vision is to create a platform that can help Christians grow their talents and create those "new songs". Awesome. 😎
Finding my lane as a dancer, videographer, photography and creator is and was and is very different because i felt like it needed to sound and look like church. But i thank God for freedom and fresh innovation.

I also struggle with the lack of resouces. I'm from Portugal and most of the christian music (and art in general) that I know of are from other countries, specially USA and Brazil, which is a wonderful thing because it expanded my horizons of what christian art could and can be. Here, i feel there isn't much variety, and there are fewer things that are made from portuguese people. I've been writing some songs (haven't put anything out yet :P) and I want to express my love to God through them and to inspire others. I also study fashion design and it's a challenge for me to glorify God in an industry that's ruled by lust and futility, and I don't know much christian fashion designers as well. There's so much we can do in the creative atmosphere. Sometimes I wonder if we are willing to take some risks, you know...
Your lofi album has helped me so much to get closer to God in the last couple of weeks. So I can definitely confirm that it is possible to glorify God with lofi beats. I wish you cld release a lofi album every week. I'm from Germany btw.
Agreed! I love all the points you made. My biggest concern right now is the Unrenewed Imagination. I have ebbs and flows of when I feel like creating and when I don’t. Sometimes I hold back with being “artsy” because I don’t want to start creating from a vain imagination.. I just want to make sure that things I create are not perverted by the World! All this sounds like fear now that I think about it, but this video encourages me!
Praise God. He will make the best collaborations for his children. He's a God of Wonder and Goodness and he cultivates his children always not just sometimes. And the desire of your heart is pure, so from that comes more blessing. Blessings you have to care for with faith. It's a constant battle but you're literally choosing the right one in this He is the Victor.

This is so good, I’m a up and coming Christian Film Maker/Writer... there’s not a lot of Christian Creatives out there... that’s why we have to depend on Christ to bring the team together. You’re definitely not alone in these thoughts. So much of my time at art school - when I was first getting to know God and the first seeds of my faith were being watered - I spent conflicted about if what I was doing mattered in the kingdom and whether my work glorified God if it wasn’t explicitly spelled out (most of my work is visual and fashion design so interpretations can be really abstracted sometimes...). I definitely haven’t like “arrived” as far as battling this goes, but over and over God has revealed to me and reminded me that we are a letters of Christ, written by the Spirit; and that yes we are blessed to make abstract and literal art and everything in between in all kinds of forms, but we should gladly remember the value of our testimony right beside these works. Maybe it sounds silly or too obvious, but Montell your work comes alive SO MUCH more with these vlogs and tidbits into your life and the full picture of what Christ is doing in you in and outside the music. THAT is the art to me. There are some artists I probably would never even think to care about if I didn’t know the story behind their process. Some artists are famous specifically BECAUSE of their process and ideologies like Jackson Pollock and Chuck Close. Your story, your testimony, your vlogs are a vital part of your music and your impact on the world, and the beauty in that is the very definition of art.
This is definitely something, I've always thought. It's not easy but the thing is to just be the individual artist called you to be. I think it's okay to be inspired by non Christian artists. There are non Christians songs, that have brought me closer to God. Even in Acts 17:28, Paul quoted a pagan poet to reach others - "For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’ " Thank You for making these videos 🤙😊
Well the great thing for the rest of us is you are all of that for us. I truly believe you are paving a way, you are a pioneer for a type of gospel music that I’ve never experienced. It’s so refreshing and genuinely dope. To be honest I love what Christian artists have to say but for some reason the sound just doesn’t vibe with me well. I miss your tutorials.. I think it would be huge to create an album of classes, like you did with beat tutorials. We all need it. I’m sure people would donate money. Maybe with a donation towards the classes, they get a beat pack, or a shirt, or jacket.. depends on amount. My biggest struggle is finding my sound and reshaping my content. Before I would rap about WORLDLY stuff.. basically glorifying myself. My struggle has been glorifying God. I feel boxed in.. still haven’t figured out my style yet. It’s frustrating. I don’t like anything I’ve been making.
I write music to the Lord as well Montell, so many times I've wondered when I'm writing christian music that sounds like jazz is it pleasing to Him. I'm still learning these things too.
I think that God just loves us so passionately, that He must be so happy when you make art or music or whatever else (may it be peeling potatoes) for Him and I don't think it matters that much what genre of music you are making as long as you keep Him in your mind and heart and try to show your gratitude, affection, love or any other genuine feeling that you feel towards Him or that your walk with Him has led you too - those might also be sad, confused etc. feelings like the authors in Psalms so often experience. Just allow Him to help you in the things that you do so that He can be a part of your life and all that you do and create, I think that this is what truly could make Him happy. After all one of His names is Helper. May He soothe your heart and soul and be blessed, sister!
Klāvs Krauklis what bible are you reading everything we do matters to God and we can only glorify and please him when we are doing thus said the word not thus what we think or feel. God is holy and we can only serve him in holiness anything other then that is witchcraft.
Eliana Jasmine H. Jazz music is not pleasing to God it was birthed from satanic worship and we can not take unholy things and throw God in it and think it pleases him because it doesn't. We have to give God what he requires not what we want. Study the music that was sung during worship service in the tabernacle of God and the kind of instruments they used and the Lord will show you the true way.
I would be quite careful to call a genre of music unpleasing to God just because of it's roots supposedly being evil. There is Christian rock music, for example. Can we know who called people to create such music? God, inclings of His Spirit, the man himself or maybe Satan? Can we really call Christian rock music bad or unpleasing to God just because most of rock music sort of seems satanic to me? My bottom points are - God searches hearts and I see no reason why He wouldn't enjoy someone creating Jazz music for Him with a loving and serving heart. That said - we can for sure seek His counsel in things like these and find a personal answer from Him. He should be the Lord of our lives after all. Be blessed in His name.
Klāvs Krauklis well you keep being careful and I will continue to serve God in spirit and truth. You just said "rock music seems satanic to you" but yet you think you can please a holy God with it. There is no such thing as hip-hop, jazz, rock-n-roll, rap or R&B gospel or Christian music. Just because you put some scriptures and say Jesus is King to some funky beats and noisome instruments and call it gospel doesn't mean God accepts it. The bible was given to learn who God is and what is required of us to spend eternity with him. The problem with too many Christians they don't study to really get to know God and fall in love with him you can not offer God want you want, think or believe no matter how heartfelt it is to you. God made that very clear with the example of Cain and Abel, Abel gave God what was required and Cain gave God what he thought was his best which caused him to be disobedient to God. We are ignorantly disobedient to God because of our heartfelt feelings but ignorance will be no excuse when we stand before a Holy Righteous God. Be ye in the world not of the world, we are told do not follow after the heathens and do not as the pagans for God hate their ways do you really believe God wants music offered to satan offered to Him do you know what it means to be Holy? Set apart from the world for the use of God how can you be set apart if you still enjoy the things of the world that will pass away when Christ comes for his people. The bible says we are to walk the steps of Christ our life and character is suppose to reflect Christ to the world so much so they will hate us just like they hated Christ. The bible says Jesus sang hyms the disciple sang hyms the old testament whorship was hyms melodious sounding music the angels vale their faces and cry holy, holy, holy and Christians come to church and serve God with a bedlam of noise and think God is pleased the angels do not abide and neither does the Holy Spirit. Get to know God in his beauty and holiness and you will give him your heart and life the way he wants it not the way you want to give it.

As for Christian content im actually strugglin trying to figure how to do it, bc much like you im struggling to find my way as a christian House Producer ( starting out anyway, im actually trying to work in every genre) and figuring " So is this pleasing God, or is this pleasing myself?" Man ØWar I’m in the same boat. I been producing house and EDM in general for a long time now. Kanye’s recent album has me inspired to help other Christian musicians but at the same time I want to make great house music. I’m struggling with the pull between just making music I enjoy and making music with a clear message. I agree with Montell, wee need to build a community to help and support each other.
Yoh... I think that you should spend time with the Lord, just cause being in that space of questioning yourself and God's will and not necesarily receiving and hearing from Him and digging into His word can be a stumbling block and very (horrible). So that even when this questions come there is some sense of peace that overcomes you cause you're constantly tuning in for His voice, and surrendering your art to Him. I also get that being a house /EDM artist it can be more difficult since most of the track would be sound and beats and when you're creating one you could stress about how this points to God. But honestly just speak to Him about it... Ooh and get a group of like minded people so you don't have to do this alone. And so God has people He can speak to you through , people constantly listening for what He has to say
Hello Montel, Just keep creating. As you press into the heart of God, growing as a friend of Jesus, He will share visions, images, notes and harmonies with you. The end goal is less about creating something FOR God, but creating something FROM God. He shares His heart, you create and people are blessed, be it one or one million. He knows who the creation is for and will cause the creation to go where needed. This is being a vessel - allowing Holy Spirit to freely flow through us. We do not touch the outcome or His glory. It's ALL Him. Also, i know what you mean when you say you feel you're too passionate. He needs us to be on fire - or passionate! Once you are connected to other creatively passionate Jesus lovers, that feeling may fall to the way side, and you'll likely feel like you need to be raised higher or be even more on fire. Keep pressing into Jesus, trusting Him, allow Holy Spirit to flow. Who knows? The classes on your heart may be the very conduit needed for other creatives like you and I. Godspeed Brother!

I believe we have a Christian Renaissance ahead of us where we will look back and wonder why we limited our expression of worship for so long. I’ve had an itch and restlessness to create art that glorifies God and connects with non-believers and Christians alike through its excellence, emotion, beauty and transparency. There are so many of us longing to share our stories. Thank you for sharing your heart behind the work you produce and letting us into your lives. Your content has inspired and encouraged me. Thank you. I also understand the struggle of trying to find Christian artists around me. Praying to connect with those people and also being willing to think for myself/pray through the insight I get from non-Christian artists with scripture has helped me so much too. This is a really interesting point to hear as a Christian jazz musician. Jazz is a world full of artists and musicians who got their start playing in church. And now, many of them continue to play and work as musicians to the glory of God. I've always had a tough time with the lines we draw between "secular" art and Christian art because the world of jazz doesn't really draw those lines and have people with all sorts of perspectives on life and relationships with God working together. It sort of makes this discussion hard to understand and participate in.
That perfect God's timing for you to share these thoughts. After quite some time of being away from Him, in the last few weeks He has done some great things in me and I feel that I am ready to start the journey of creating for and with Him. Something that I have dreamed of for so long! I honestly just found out that I can amen art that glorifies God when i heard Bedroom Lofi. Even just being a young black man who feels the comfort to step outside of trap music is inspiring. But I’m a photographer who wants to do the same as far as having my art glorify God and like you said, there aren’t any classes on this so i kinda have to step out on faith and create to glorify Him. Hey . I am Christian artist, a poet and guitarist,, and vocalist and I totally get walking that think line where you wanna be 'relevant but different' Dee-1. And I honestly have been just asking the Lord for a group of creative's that I can walk with and really , earnestly want to honour God and preach the gospel through their art. Cause lately it's secular events I have been performing at and I feel so persecuted , and then there is the struggle of not knowing how to act ' should I vibe to this song,, it's not exactly , beneficial ' or having to pray and perform and analyse and observe all at the same time. . I've been searching for Bedroom Lofi for years and here it is. I think its a great milestone in the Christian creative community. I've listened to it almost every night for the past week. But yea man I agree that our worship is our life. I have the disire to produce "good" Christian videogames that teaches the word of God. When creatives like you break out of the the norm it increases my faith and confidence to produce what's on my heart. Just keep going bro!

I love to see what God is doing both through you and other christian artists that are growing in maturity. It is such a beautiful thing. And amen to community and guiding each other. And on that, anyone have any suggestions for teachings, books etc. on glorifying God through music? I'm in a season where I really am looking for more of God's wisom in my creation. I mainly create my own stuff that I preform with, but am also starting to go more into leading others in worship.

Ok bro, what up. First - thanks for making music that is Christ centred (I see you trying it). I heard some of your Lo fi mixes and they are awesome for putting me in the mood for praying. And when I know that you are trying to fallow Christ. While I am listening and praying I feel the connection that you are trying to connect with God and feel Him (the song about you asking God who you are). Second - "studying christian producing" you mean missing a connection and guidance by people who know God and the bible and are into music/producing. Tough man, I feel you. But think of it this way you are somewhat of a prodigy, there should be also other youtubers who do lo fi, and WHO knows - they might know God too. I am also kinda alone, Jesus found one of my friends and now me and him somehow are trying to live by the word and talk about God to our other friends. Interesting times man, end times I would even want to say. I also left my past self 12 months ago (currently I'm 22yrs old). I've seen ghosts twice and I had some hallucinations once without using any substances. I see the devil mockingly trying to ruin my relationship with God, but what can we do in this fallen world - hope and lets be happy and joyful as much as we can. I once had a HUGE breakthrough quietly praying, dancing and smiling in my room(around two weeks ago).I was forcing mysel to be happy. Because I used to have a stone face almost all the time. We will win I pray we don't dispirit ourselfs, because this is what I am struggling myself with, and also I am afraid to miss God's will for my life, I know it is impossible if I am with Him, but it is a real struggle of mine. Hey, I feel you 100%! I have always just turned on my Yamaha piano and love to make beats with the loop function. I have the same problems which discourages me to make music, leading me to not fully want to learn music the right way :/ I KNOW I have an ear for music and know saxophone and guitar but cant find a way to make music BUT you have just inspired me to do SOMETHING for God even if it doesnt sound the best as you said. I really would love to be a part of creating those classes and getting the word out so people can be lead to Jesus Christ to be saved. In my experience with working with other artists/creatives who may not know Jesus, it's always a great opportunity to be a witness to them and share the love of Christ in a natural or loving way through sometimes the biggest or littlest things.

We definitely run into alot of these moral dilemmas/questions which can prove to be a hindrance to our creative freedom, that the world doesn't even consider at all. One of the psalmists in Psalm 150 said, "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord". They also said "praise him with the lute, the lyre, the cymbals, the stringed instruments", (and many more) showing the fact that God doesn't care what instrument that you use, but that you honor Him in all that you do. I'm glad that you're trying to glorify God in all you do, Montell.

I remember watching a video by Josh Keefe titled, "The Problem with Christian Music" and it completely revolutionized my thinking on how Christian music is now versus how it really should be. That video has helped to look at artists less noticed like you, Josh Garrels, Rivers and Robots, Ecclesia, and Rich Mullins. I do believe our Christian music should be more creative than what it is and I do believe that you can be the one to start that reformation. I'm standing behind that vision and believing that God can and will use you in this season as long as you trust Him. I feel that you can do this and become that teacher to help others see the beauty in everything that is our Christian life, even the sad/broken moments and trials we have. You are a great Christian artist and I'm glad I got to find your music. I hope that other people can get behind what you are doing here and help change the way we all see things as believers in the body of Christ.

We should see Christian music as that art form to give back to God for all that He has done for us but it should not all be in one box to where if a song doesn't have certain requirements then it is not deemed Christian. To address the point at hand, TBH I really admire your vision, Montell! Because I also feel the same way. For too long we Christians have boxed ourselves up. We stick to the only formula we know and are afraid of trying new things. Yet Psalm 144: 9 says "I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee"
So basically we need to be creative! New songs must be sung! New ideas must come up! And your vision is to create a platform that can help Christians grow their talents and create those "new songs". Awesome. 😎

I also struggle with the lack of resouces. I'm from Portugal and most of the christian music (and art in general) that I know of are from other countries, specially USA and Brazil, which is a wonderful thing because it expanded my horizons of what christian art could and can be. Here, i feel there isn't much variety, and there are fewer things that are made from portuguese people. I've been writing some songs (haven't put anything out yet :P) and I want to express my love to God through them and to inspire others. I also study fashion design and it's a challenge for me to glorify God in an industry that's ruled by lust and futility, and I don't know much christian fashion designers as well.
There's so much we can do in the creative atmosphere. Sometimes I wonder if we are willing to take some risks, you know...

You’re definitely not alone in these thoughts. So much of my time at art school - when I was first getting to know God and the first seeds of my faith were being watered - I spent conflicted about if what I was doing mattered in the kingdom and whether my work glorified God if it wasn’t explicitly spelled out (most of my work is visual and fashion design so interpretations can be really abstracted sometimes...). I definitely haven’t like “arrived” as far as battling this goes, but over and over God has revealed to me and reminded me that we are a letters of Christ, written by the Spirit; and that yes we are blessed to make abstract and literal art and everything in between in all kinds of forms, but we should gladly remember the value of our testimony right beside these works. Maybe it sounds silly or too obvious, but Montell your work comes alive SO MUCH more with these vlogs and tidbits into your life and the full picture of what Christ is doing in you in and outside the music. THAT is the art to me. There are some artists I probably would never even think to care about if I didn’t know the story behind their process. Some artists are famous specifically BECAUSE of their process and ideologies like Jackson Pollock and Chuck Close. Your story, your testimony, your vlogs are a vital part of your music and your impact on the world, and the beauty in that is the very definition of art.

This is definitely something, I've always thought. It's not easy but the thing is to just be the individual artist called you to be. I think it's okay to be inspired by non Christian artists. There are non Christians songs, that have brought me closer to God.
Even in Acts 17:28, Paul quoted a pagan poet to reach others -
"For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’ "

Well the great thing for the rest of us is you are all of that for us. I truly believe you are paving a way, you are a pioneer for a type of gospel music that I’ve never experienced. It’s so refreshing and genuinely dope. To be honest I love what Christian artists have to say but for some reason the sound just doesn’t vibe with me well.
I miss your tutorials.. I think it would be huge to create an album of classes, like you did with beat tutorials. We all need it. I’m sure people would donate money. Maybe with a donation towards the classes, they get a beat pack, or a shirt, or jacket.. depends on amount.
My biggest struggle is finding my sound and reshaping my content. Before I would rap about WORLDLY stuff.. basically glorifying myself. My struggle has been glorifying God. I feel boxed in.. still haven’t figured out my style yet. It’s frustrating. I don’t like anything I’ve been making.
I write music to the Lord as well Montell, so many times I've wondered when I'm writing christian music that sounds like jazz is it pleasing to Him. I'm still learning these things too.
I think that God just loves us so passionately, that He must be so happy when you make art or music or whatever else (may it be peeling potatoes) for Him and I don't think it matters that much what genre of music you are making as long as you keep Him in your mind and heart and try to show your gratitude, affection, love or any other genuine feeling that you feel towards Him or that your walk with Him has led you too - those might also be sad, confused etc. feelings like the authors in Psalms so often experience. Just allow Him to help you in the things that you do so that He can be a part of your life and all that you do and create, I think that this is what truly could make Him happy. After all one of His names is Helper. May He soothe your heart and soul and be blessed, sister!

Eliana Jasmine H. Jazz music is not pleasing to God it was birthed from satanic worship and we can not take unholy things and throw God in it and think it pleases him because it doesn't. We have to give God what he requires not what we want. Study the music that was sung during worship service in the tabernacle of God and the kind of instruments they used and the Lord will show you the true way.
I would be quite careful to call a genre of music unpleasing to God just because of it's roots supposedly being evil. There is Christian rock music, for example. Can we know who called people to create such music? God, inclings of His Spirit, the man himself or maybe Satan? Can we really call Christian rock music bad or unpleasing to God just because most of rock music sort of seems satanic to me?
My bottom points are - God searches hearts and I see no reason why He wouldn't enjoy someone creating Jazz music for Him with a loving and serving heart.
That said - we can for sure seek His counsel in things like these and find a personal answer from Him. He should be the Lord of our lives after all.

Klāvs Krauklis well you keep being careful and I will continue to serve God in spirit and truth. You just said "rock music seems satanic to you" but yet you think you can please a holy God with it. There is no such thing as hip-hop, jazz, rock-n-roll, rap or R&B gospel or Christian music. Just because you put some scriptures and say Jesus is King to some funky beats and noisome instruments and call it gospel doesn't mean God accepts it. The bible was given to learn who God is and what is required of us to spend eternity with him. The problem with too many Christians they don't study to really get to know God and fall in love with him you can not offer God want you want, think or believe no matter how heartfelt it is to you. God made that very clear with the example of Cain and Abel, Abel gave God what was required and Cain gave God what he thought was his best which caused him to be disobedient to God. We are ignorantly disobedient to God because of our heartfelt feelings but ignorance will be no excuse when we stand before a Holy Righteous God. Be ye in the world not of the world, we are told do not follow after the heathens and do not as the pagans for God hate their ways do you really believe God wants music offered to satan offered to Him do you know what it means to be Holy? Set apart from the world for the use of God how can you be set apart if you still enjoy the things of the world that will pass away when Christ comes for his people. The bible says we are to walk the steps of Christ our life and character is suppose to reflect Christ to the world so much so they will hate us just like they hated Christ. The bible says Jesus sang hyms the disciple sang hyms the old testament whorship was hyms melodious sounding music the angels vale their faces and cry holy, holy, holy and Christians come to church and serve God with a bedlam of noise and think God is pleased the angels do not abide and neither does the Holy Spirit. Get to know God in his beauty and holiness and you will give him your heart and life the way he wants it not the way you want to give it.

I pray your art grows and people can glorify God for your gifts. Man ØWar I’m in the same boat. I been producing house and EDM in general for a long time now. Kanye’s recent album has me inspired to help other Christian musicians but at the same time I want to make great house music. I’m struggling with the pull between just making music I enjoy and making music with a clear message.

Yoh... I think that you should spend time with the Lord, just cause being in that space of questioning yourself and God's will and not necesarily receiving and hearing from Him and digging into His word can be a stumbling block and very (horrible). So that even when this questions come there is some sense of peace that overcomes you cause you're constantly tuning in for His voice, and surrendering your art to Him.
I also get that being a house /EDM artist it can be more difficult since most of the track would be sound and beats and when you're creating one you could stress about how this points to God.
But honestly just speak to Him about it...
Ooh and get a group of like minded people so you don't have to do this alone. And so God has people He can speak to you through , people constantly listening for what He has to say
Hello Montel, Just keep creating. As you press into the heart of God, growing as a friend of Jesus, He will share visions, images, notes and harmonies with you. The end goal is less about creating something FOR God, but creating something FROM God. He shares His heart, you create and people are blessed, be it one or one million. He knows who the creation is for and will cause the creation to go where needed. This is being a vessel - allowing Holy Spirit to freely flow through us. We do not touch the outcome or His glory. It's ALL Him. Also, i know what you mean when you say you feel you're too passionate. He needs us to be on fire - or passionate! Once you are connected to other creatively passionate Jesus lovers, that feeling may fall to the way side, and you'll likely feel like you need to be raised higher or be even more on fire. Keep pressing into Jesus, trusting Him, allow Holy Spirit to flow. Who knows? The classes on your heart may be the very conduit needed for other creatives like you and I. Godspeed Brother!

I also understand the struggle of trying to find Christian artists around me. Praying to connect with those people and also being willing to think for myself/pray through the insight I get from non-Christian artists with scripture has helped me so much too. I believe both are vital to our growth.
This is a really interesting point to hear as a Christian jazz musician. Jazz is a world full of artists and musicians who got their start playing in church. And now, many of them continue to play and work as musicians to the glory of God. I've always had a tough time with the lines we draw between "secular" art and Christian art because the world of jazz doesn't really draw those lines and have people with all sorts of perspectives on life and relationships with God working together. It sort of makes this discussion hard to understand and participate in.

I honestly just found out that I can amen art that glorifies God when i heard Bedroom Lofi. Even just being a young black man who feels the comfort to step outside of trap music is inspiring. But I’m a photographer who wants to do the same as far as having my art glorify God and like you said, there aren’t any classes on this so i kinda have to step out on faith and create to glorify Him. I really do appreciate this video bro because I’ve been stuck and don’t know any Christians artists out here in California.

While I am listening and praying I feel the connection that you are trying to connect with God and feel Him (the song about you asking God who you are).
Second - "studying christian producing" you mean missing a connection and guidance by people who know God and the bible and are into music/producing. Tough man, I feel you. But think of it this way you are somewhat of a prodigy, there should be also other youtubers who do lo fi, and WHO knows - they might know God too.
I am also kinda alone, Jesus found one of my friends and now me and him somehow are trying to live by the word and talk about God to our other friends.

I also left my past self 12 months ago (currently I'm 22yrs old). I've seen ghosts twice and I had some hallucinations once without using any substances.
I see the devil mockingly trying to ruin my relationship with God, but what can we do in this fallen world - hope and lets be happy and joyful as much as we can.
I once had a HUGE breakthrough quietly praying, dancing and smiling in my room(around two weeks ago).I was forcing mysel to be happy. Because I used to have a stone face almost all the time.

Hey, I feel you 100%! I have always just turned on my Yamaha piano and love to make beats with the loop function. I have the same problems which discourages me to make music, leading me to not fully want to learn music the right way :/ I KNOW I have an ear for music and know saxophone and guitar but cant find a way to make music BUT you have just inspired me to do SOMETHING for God even if it doesnt sound the best as you said. I really would love to be a part of creating those classes and getting the word out so people can be lead to Jesus Christ to be saved. In my experience with working with other artists/creatives who may not know Jesus, it's always a great opportunity to be a witness to them and share the love of Christ in a natural or loving way through sometimes the biggest or littlest things.

theres some really good Christian films especially indie Christian films but there's definitely a ton of bad ones
One of my favourite Christian bands is called Half alive they arent necessarily Christian but they have overtly Christian songs and its beautiful bc the reat of thier songs areas uplifting you should check them out
