It's a deadly DANGEROUS road I don't recommend this road for beginners ..not atall ..plz avoid this road.. So plz plz be very very careful if u try .. Check your vehicle brakes,clutches,pickup etc before trying ,only if you are an experienced drivers or else don't even think of trying 🙏
I have 1 time experience in climbing up and down of KOLLIMALAI, KODAIKAANAL and nearly 6 times Maettupaalaiyam - Coonoor - Ooty & more than 10 times in Yaerkaadu ghat road in my 13 years old scooty (given regularly for service). Just asking : Will they allow?. If not, then I have to spend more time in climbing up and then down. Waste of fuel :-(

Hi, Yes you are absolutely right. the slopes are too steep and curves are dangerous which makes it so difficult to drive here

I wouldn't say it's not advisable, even Alto 800 use to climb. Vehicle with good condition could climb up. I had grand i10 which climbed very well

I used the car of my local friend to travel from up to down bro
I travelled on my car through that route last weekend. I booked a resort near kalhati area and they gave me a letter with their seal.

If they are allowing at KOLLIMALAI, then why not from Ooty to Mudhumalai via Kalhatti, Masinangudi?
Not sure of the two wheelers bro but I believe it's should denied for both car and bike
