If you've ever played a Mihoyo game before, you know that farming gear when you're nowhere near level cap is just completely inefficient. You get guaranteed measurable gains by leveling skills, character levels, and weapon levels. A purple gear set with correct main stats is more than good enough, but trying to get a gold set with good substats is just a complete waste of energy when you're mid level.

100% agree, better to focus on levelling up and upgrading things that are a permanent guaranteed power increase only.

True, but also keep in mind that leveling only gets you so far. Once you get 6 characters at max level with one or two skills fully upped, there itsn't anything do but farm gear. And gear farming will take infinitely longer than character farming due to RNJesus, so starting early, even if inefficient, can lead to less time wasted long-term even if it feels worse short-term.
This, of course, ignores how awful it feels to have all ur hard work gear farming early get sent down the drain with higher level domains, but as someone who has put in the hours to fully optimize a Genshin Character (it took me half a year), if you plan to do that instead of enjoying the game like a normal person, every chance you have to reduce the grind should be taken.

As glitch said. Also unlike miHoYo's other games farming the Disk Drives here aren't as wasteful because the B & A Disk Drives being salvaged will eventually turn into resources you can use to obtain S ranks thanks to Bardic Needle shop.
At the end of the day, what you farm is simply about improving your account. If you're just mindlessly farming, that's the most inefficient thing. Farm with a purpose, farm with a plan.

You forgot the fact that stamina becomes less valuable the higher your account level is. Sure maybe getting a set of S-rank disc drives at level 35/40 is less stamina efficient, but if it gets you an extra level or 2 in shiyu defense before it resets, then it’s totally worth it. Those polychromes are gone forever once reset happens. Same reason people would use their battery charge to get to a new level breakpoint right before weekly reset.

@@latitude990 bruh it's like 4 pulls assuming you complete the whole B side lol. The only reason why disk farming at 35 is worth it is because the skill material stages get upgraded at 40, meanwhile the next cleanup upgrade only happens at 45

not everyone loves the TV system but oh my god it's an endless system of creativity and a lot of the Exploration missions have been really cool and unique so far, I hope they continue adding on and on to it because it seems very modular and they can do whatever they want with it.

Was personally super suprised when I heard people don't like it, I thought the TV sections more fun than the combat ones due to that variety. Discovering new nodes, pathing, puzzle solving in them can be super engaging.

been a hit and miss on these tv explore missions for me. just did a quest about some detective explore mission and was bored outta my mind with it. some explore missions are fun and some like what i played through was just almost sleep inducing walls of text without any gameplay. depends on the player what they enjoy

As a viewer who consumes game guides in youtube, I have feedback:
While listening to you, I feel that your sentences are reaaaally long. Example (note that I'm separating each phrase with a comma):
- Start at 6:58.

That's a LOT OF WORDS AND COMMAS before ending with a period. It took you more than 30 seconds to conclude your sentence. You're mostly talking in incomplete phrases, not brief and concise sentences. This feels very tiring to listen to. Try listening to your lines at 2x speed: you'll notice that each phrase ends with a rising tone - which means you have not yet concluded the idea you're trying to get across.
Tbh this is what many guide makers in youtube have a habit of doing. They want to present so much information that conciseness is mostly ignored, and speaking their lines sounds almost monotonous and boring. This is also what Gacha Gamer sounded like in his early Genshin guides before improving a lot.
I suggest improving your script. Present your idea in brief sentences, not multiple phrases. Add more variations on your voice in the delivery of your lines.

Since day one I never regen energy to its fullest. They should lower the prices or/and increase the energy cap. It's annoying to farm anything, especially cos all u get is some scraps... It's brutal.

I will say that I disagree with going for the Crit main stat on the crit rate set - I think it's smarter to roll for the elemental damage bonus slot on the crit rate set. Let's say you need Ice main stat but roll fire instead - that could potentially be used on a future fire unit. However, if you try to get Ice main stat on the ice set and roll fire dmg on the ice set, that's highly unlikely to be usable. Rolling crit on your elemental set for your DPS and rolling for elements on the crit set will likely be more beneficial in the future since crit has staying power even multiple years into most games and definitely Hoyo games.

Better off rolling pen% so you add another layer of damage amplification, the characters themselves come stacked with on element bonuses already but hardly any defense shred or pen%, plus the piece can be used for any attacker moving forward

Around 38-40 if ur done with character stats and all I’d suggest to start farming discs for ur main dps and supports at least 4 purple 2 gold if possible if purple has better stats than gold use purple but if its 2nd slot u can keep gold coz u get higher main atk stats before u reach 40 u should be done with disc farming hopefully also use dismantle system and prioritize ur stats..at 40-41 farm all their skills and talents and ascension coz drop rate increased a bit then after all that resume disc farming ..prefarmimg ascension not worth it early coz having blue disc at 40 is just no no

im almost finished building my ellen already (120/82 with neko’s sog) im looking now for atk main stat on 6th piece and a better ice dmg boost, i just hit 40 and game literally gave me 2 double crit pieces for her, idk but for some reason it seems farming is way easier than other gacha games cuz i also got double crits for the anomaly set too which idk who would make use of it

Crazy how ive played this game for 2 weels and can now farm golden relics/drive discs and do highes level content. But ive played genshin on and off for a year or 2 and dont even have a strong enough team to ascend my ar cause how boring the grind is

I feel like now you're just waiting/grinding till new content comes out. I can't say much cause I'm slowly progressing through at a semi decent pace, not pulling for characters. I also grinded HSR heavily, so personally I'm trying not to be grind heavy and invested in ZZZ since I'm investing more time into HSR, BUT, this game feels different enough and I'm not a big fan on Genshin and have practically dropped it. I might switch this over as a login game over Genshin. It feels better than Genshin, where Genshin constantly feels like a money grab as Natlin? Natlan? Drops. Genshin feels bad compared to this and HSR, personal. Maybe i just have had terrible luck with Genshin.

Im at lv 36, havent beat ch.3 but all 7 of my characters are lv 40 and everything is maxed as far as it can go. Oh and theyre all in lv. 0 purple gear. So im ready ro starts pink lv and weap farming and gold gear cds too but... Im conflicted. I think Im good with having 2 of every element. So Unfortunately, im gonna have to just build Sol 11 and stop waiting to get Koleda from the gacha. And Im just gonna whale my final 60 summons to get grace. Then after I get Zhu, Im done building characters and summoning. This game has terrible gacha rates. Like not even HSR was this bad.
And they can fck right off with this 4 materials required but the fight gives you 3. 240 stamina is trash and should just be 300 and recovers in 3 minutes instead of 4. I refresh more than I can wait. And shoot, at least let me drink coffee twice a day...

Has anyone tried farming hollow zero for z-merits to get infinite dennies? If you get an S in the combats you get 20--40 zmerits. You can do it on repeat hollow zero's does that mean you can get infinite z-merits then exchange them at Casper?
