No, black blade only means that the wearer mastered 2 things, armament haki and swordsmanship. That's why Shusui was already a black blade when Zoro earned it, but he was not using armament haki back then. It's presumed that when a sword is turned into a black blade, it becomes a little heavier, increasing it's capabilities.
