Thanks Pastor Washer! I do commend appeals to God's common revelation as well, but I am certain this is an ultimate place to bring the unbelieving in need of God's truth. Thanks be to God for the Scripture!
Atheist sometimes ask, “If I could demonstrate by hard evidence that God doesn’t exist or is evil, would you dump God?” The knee-jerk reaction of most Christians is, “Certainly not!” But the reverse is what we ask the Atheist to do. Certainly, a smart debater could debate most Christian under the table, and make him doubt. The Christian attitude towards a new hard question, doubt, “fact”, or complexity argument should never be a knee-jerk reaction of rejecting Jesus, or running to hide in our churches, turning to blind faith and warm feelings. Both extremes are beyond foolish. The proper response is the following. “That is interesting. I am not familiar with that argument/claim. I’ll have to research it and get back to you. There are many excellent apologetic books and websites you can research. Would you please go with me to meet my pastor and present your arguments?” I was a hard hearted Atheist converted in 1970 after struggle through several issues with a caring Christian who kept encouraging me to read the Bible. Since then, I have studied deeply; traveled the world for work; and have always sought out non-Christians to have calm productive debates. I’d be extremely surprised if today an Atheist would surprise me with any new doubt I haven’t worked through. A fast-talking, young debater could run circles around me verbally, but that isn’t winning a debate. Reason, evidence, and good arguments win the search for truth, for rational people. But an inexperienced Christian can easily be owned by the average smart Atheist. And most Christians are in that leaky boat. They should be trained to make the above statements. Baby Christians are scouts bringing unbelievers into the church. But sadly most churches teach their member to say, “Christ changed my life and I have a personal relationship with Him.” Yes, that is a good part of a testimony, but it must never be the totality of it. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you for the reason for your hope; 1 Pet 3:15. We should answer the hot questions of the day as did Jesus, apostles, and Old Testament prophets. See the 12 answers Jesus gave in Matt 12.

My faith on the LORD Jesus Christ is not based on my ability to defend him.

Presup is undefeated because it's biblical.
How do you define Presuppositionalism?
