"well........whoopie SHIT"
“Well, whoopee shit”! 😝😆😎
@@riversong4997 The BBC took this series down from the iPlayer after someone complained that Papa Lazarou was in “black face”!
The spineless BBC in all of it’s gutless glory…
Forgotten how good this series was !!, so many cracking characters :-) Good to see the actors have all done very well and are still making great tv shows. I think Mark Gatiss has done particularly well as a writer.
Get ready for Inside No. 9's new series, looks like a mini-LOG reunion!
How rare is it to find a dedicated joke shop! I think they barely exist.
PUT! YOUR! HAND! IN!
"Doesn't make her laugh, pisses herself can't stop pissin!" 😂
Been watching all these during lockdown stella and Charlie my favourite hahahahah
Lance Longthorne. The greatest unidexter ever to flog a whoopee cushion. RIP.
"No mate, it's the bloody butchers" - Genius!
Given that Gatiss also portrays Hillary Briss, the local butcher, and the fact that his 'special stuff' makes you strangely prone to nosebleeds! Wonderful double callback!

One of the best comedies ever: so underated.
It was highly rated, very popular and had 3 series, 4 specials and a film made. Hardly the definition of underrated. Adding underrated on the end of a comment to get a few more likes:
Overrated.

Well...whoopee shit!!
Loved this show so funny
Wish this shop actually existed!
Absolute genius
Three people thought "Whoopee shit".

Well, WHOOPIE SHIT😜
I'm trying to think of I've ever seen Mark Gatiss NOT being creepy. I guess that one Doctor Who special.
I don't think Mycroft Holmes was creepy. A bit darker and more controlling than you'd want in an older brother, maybe, but not creepy.
Completely random but relevant aside; but the best prank device I've ever used is a voice jammer. It's literally just a microphone that repeats whatever you say into it with a second or so delay. If you point it at someone, it messes with their brain and renders them unable to speak. Of course, it's more of a party gag than a prank since the person has to agree to wear headphones for it to work effectively. (402) How to Make Someone Sound Like an Idiot - UA-cam
Funny to think Geoff ended up killing lance
I would call the police if the joke shop owner forced me to put the hand in the tube
The fact that the proprietor only had one arm would have been warning enough for me .
You're not leaving this comment section til you put your hand in that bleedin tube.
Probably would not want the cops in Royston Vasey coming to save you haha.
Always thought this was harry enfield
Lol 😂
What is that thing he was washing the windows with?
Bring it back brilliant no sense of humour 👍
don't remember this
Just realised how much Noel Fielding ripped this character off for The Hitcher.
I liked the first series as it bordered had the white balance of quirk black comedy and the macabre and sinister. However with the second series they lost that balance and it just became more creepy and sinister than funny. And I gave up entirely on the third series after a couple of episodes. Despite an sublime scenario where an elderly man was roping his friends in to rehearsing his own funeral it was otherwise crap.
@@Josh_J9 I disagree. The fourth series was a completely over-egged 'best of'. The third series wasn't bad at all, but they tried to be too clever and some of the characters were over done.
The third series had a wonderfully dark atmosphere, but more disjointed than earlier series. Each episode in series 3 felt rather standalone
@@rachel.mcgowan The idea with series three was that each episode was happening concurrently. I believe it is called a continous narrative. It only worked if you already knew that and saw all six.
I hate this character.
The genius of the is Geoff Tipps coming in at the end knowing that he’s the sort of bloke who would think all those ideas were good and funny
So true! One of the most memorable characters. He's exactly the type that would actually think it's good and hilarious.
I'll never forget his joke about paracetamol, go-johnny-gogo-gogo, or his fake suicide "prank"
