I must say, compared to some of the private rail cars of the era that I've seen either pictures or video of, this one has a very plain interior. No dark real wood paneling. No fancy draperies. No overstuffed furniture, etc.
Is it possible to even BUY $8,000 napkins today? But at $766K in today's dollars, that's still a LOT cheaper than a Learjet.
