Carson Beck just seemed like he was done with the season as soon as he found out he wasn't in the running for the Heisman anymore. Departing the team as soon as the SEC Championship ended as if Georgia's season was over. I know it's over for him, but he hasn't been with the team since the SECCG 2 weeks ago. He was horrible all year at showing his comradery for the team. During the Ole Miss game when he was sitting on the bench laughing while down by 2 scores. Not trying to rally the team. Just sitting there. That's not the mark of a leader of a team. That's a mark of a man that thinks he's better than the team. I think Gunner is a DAWG, and a Dawg for life. I think he really cares about the team, and the team's success which showed on the field during the Texas game. He rallied the troops, and took care of business, and he was willing to put his body on the line to win that game. The team responds to that, and plays harder because of it. Bennett won 2 national titles because of that exact same attitude that Gunner Stockton has. The team hasn't been the same since Bennett left. Even last year, i didn't feel that Bennett energy anymore. Beck was a more integral part of the offense last year than this year, but he never seemed to be the "point man". the one who could rally the team to absolute victory.
