League of Legends has both pre made and solo queue ranked and has had it for a decade. League is a team game. there is no argument that would prevent apex from having it.
I hate it that I'm not really on the edge of my seat... I play community custom games once a week with the same old group of buddies, and otherwise don't touch apex lately. I want to see them do well but I'm just waiting patiently to see what they do. I don't have any expectations, good or bad. but if this season is bad again- I've truly lost all hope for Apex.
Solo ranked matchmaking is very bad, i was diamond 1 and every other game i got two plat 1 players and i faced 3-stack master/pred players and alot of cheaters, how am i suppose to rank up with that?? It happens alot i guess because of their is so few players playing the game atm.. But that makes me want to stop playing.

Honestly, solo q ranked would suck. I get the issues with 3 stacks. I understand it. But I (and I'm sure many others) just get terrible randoms who run off on their own, miss all their shots, get downed and then verbally abuse me for their stupidity. If I can't play with my friends, I simply wouldn't play ranked

Recently I got a gun run match, my teammates where good, other teams, level 3, level 15, level 40. We won, the 2nd place team was only on 6 kills. That’s eomm for you, the odds that kinda thing happens organically is so astronomically low I don’t believe it was chance. The game was giving me a pity lobby.
I’m not very good, play very little and have been in gun run and control matches with pro players. It happens. I think it’s an outlier not the norm. I don’t know how to fix it.
If they force console with PC, then they have to do something about the controller situation. On PC you can overclock your controller to reduce input lag, while on Xbox you are stuck using 250hz. Also, A LOT of console players are still playing on TVs with crazy input lag, add that on to the controller input lag, and it would be a sight to see that vs any PC player. You would have to split the lobbies 3 ways if they merge them, Performance mode players paired with PC, Old Gens or people without monitors paired with Performance mode, and Performance mode split between those 2, so the console lobbies would suffer. No way you are putting anyone not on 120hz in a PC lobby, too big of a disadvantage. So no, I don't think console should be forced to play with PC, they can have it as an option, but forcing will kill the console side of things.
If they force console to play with PC then they need to fix tap strafe and other OP movement tech not available to controllers. Also I don't think PC ranked players would be ready for the 6 manning/ modded controllers, it still happens even after hideouts addressing it.
the only think mnk has over console controller is tap strafe and move while looting, both can superglide (superglide is easier on a console that has low fps). the 6 manning, modded controllers, and wifi connection will definitely annoy people even more
Permanent solo mode with 2 respawns if you die is the solution for solo queue players so they don’t have to play against 3 stacks players or playing with dump teammates or if they don’t want to use the mic because this game is a team based game. Solo mode is essential in every game.
Why do all pc goons think that “120 fps is the ticket that’s the only thing that matters”. Its not the movement the bindings even tho they are “banned” the advantage of long range tracking and flicking it’s not just frames per second damn this is so redundant to be said
This game is so horribly optimized I don't even get 120 fps most days on PC. Tracking and close range fights matter so much more than flicking or long range tracking. The redundancy comes from console players, who have never touched a pc and don't play in pc lobbies, telling pc players that they are superior when a computer is doing half the work for console.
I’ve played since day 1. I have only in the last few season played a little ranked. I’m on ps5, I’ve kept cross play on. I can tell you with 120fps I still can not connect shots with a cracked out octane or wraith on PC with tap strafe. Take that out, even out aim assist between pc and 120fps console and it’s not an issue anymore. But we all remember the fit everyone had when they reduced tap strafe last time!
Had they made ranked like League's ranked with solo and flex queues, they could have maybe saved playerbase, but losing nearly 2/3 of playerbase with shoving more events down our throats was unfortunately EA's strategy, with things like Supervive, COD 6 and Deadlock, I can't see how anything can help Apex recover...
The only thing that can turn this game around is making ranked solo q only. They already tried make easier to hit masters so theres more people and so masters play only with masters, and did not work out.
Gonna get hate for this, but as a pc player with around 7k hours on pc, 800 or so hours on console, i do think that forcing crossplay would be ideal (as a pc player). For the console players that are gonna hate, think about it from our perspective. Most of the players that play this game are on console, you don’t have to sit in que, in NA servers, for sometimes 5-10 minutes. That que time would get even worse if we made it so plats cannot play against preds. If we combined pc/console, it would fix the que time AND put correct ranks against correct ranks. Not every pc player plays on 120+ fps either, but just have some perspective. It might make your games harder, but flexing isn’t the main point of ranked. It’s supposed to put you against similarly skilled opponents, which this system that Jmeyels suggested, would do. (However I do think that people will quit because the lobbied are harder, but that would only be initially. Whereas right now, with how games are going, long term the game is dying). I’m just saying something has to happen, and it might be good for the game long term
@rubrtt Yeah spitfire meta back in season 0 as well as season 8-9 was brutal. Also was at a time where caustic was meta in the first half of S8 and revtane was meta in season 8-9.

I just think they need to add solo queue as a separate queue. if people playing together make matches take longer to queue with other players playing together. Id rather have longer queues if it means better matchs.
The problem isn’t that plat and diamond players are queing with masters and preds. It’s the fact that GOLD players having been getting matches with master and preds for NUMEROUS seasons with zero communication whatsoever from respawn.
I would be fine with a PC console merge if the PC movement was tied with console movement. I.e not moving while looting or let console do that as well.
or get on a pc and do it yourself. everyone picks different inputs and different platforms for their own reason and trying to get everyone to confirm to your needs cause you don't want to deal with it is exactly why gaming these days is shit, no need to complain just play and have fun(even if it is a dead game)

I could understand merging the players that are on 120hz with PC, console players would still be at a huge disadvantage though and would probably kill the player base(especially with them lowering the console players AA to pc values). PC has too many things you can do to have a bigger advantage compared to consoles that are just plug and play, overclocking controllers is one example.
the problem is the point system. what is the point if you can rat and achieve certain ranks solo que sucks as you could be a decent player and end up getting teammates that have ratted to get their points so when you're climbing ranks it just feels like a burn out after plat/diamond and i usually just stop playing as getting to diamond solo is so tedious, especially too with the variables of region. i play on London servers, i'm from the UK but my games are constantly matched with french or other players. we also get tons of people from the middle east. even though im on london servers it is rare i play with english people and very rare i play with english speakers that can speak english well enough to work as a team. so i just stopped playing ranked all together an then the problem is still the same in pubs so if i do play now. which is rare i just play mixtape for maybe 1 hour then i am bored of apex and jump off which is crazy as i used to play about 3-4 hours daily. now i play maybe 2 hours a week anyone else in a similar position?
I play solo and all I get players that are under lvl 200 and my rule is I refuse to play with people under lvl 200 because 90% of the players hit ranks they don’t deserve
They just have to make soloQ easier to climb than if you were in a squad. Just limit how much RP you lose and increase RP you gain if you soloQ. No more splitting the playerbase anymore since it's impossible now.
Soloq only would make it so much more challenging and it would highlight players who can actually play game with different roles on a team. Br ranked shouldnt be a killrace as it is right now. High placement and high damage/suffesfull abilities and rotations should be the goal of a br ranked match.
What happened with last season battle pass was not a win. EA put out their original plan knowing it wud cause outrage so they cud pull back to having a "better paid pass with the one u can buy with coins" to make players happy. The players just let EA manipulate them into this new battle pass just because they put a worse one first and most of the fan base got gaslite. They can talk about changes all they want but we all know the only two things that matter right now are matchmaking and servers and until they fix that they are going to lose players, which is prolly what they want so they can sunset the game because it's not making all the money anymore.
Considering EA wants to up their money game i'm also worried with not releasing anything because they want to force an even MORE aggresive system and since it usually takes a whole season to revent changes they want to actually try instead of getting backlash... IDK i'm not spending either way And dude, the real soluion to matchmaking is merging servers and overhauling the system. Some zone doesn't need so many servers (I'm form S, we have 5 servers and i have to play on NA cause i can't find a single game in any mode. I think it's the same un APAC in general correct me if i'm wrong)But ofc EA is not gonna spend money in that so it's a shame

My boy started playing , level 13, everyone that kills him is like over level 300 and like 20k kills, i assume they don’t have matchmaking for pubs but it’s a bad experience for new players, they don’t stand a chance in trios, duos, LTM or TDM . Synergy vs no synergy is a big advantage in any competitive fps stacks vs duo/solo have had way to much of a monopoly and easier time even for years now. Yes it's a "team game" but there is no reason to force a "big brother matchmaking" system to make the strongest individual hard carry if solo/duo (normally the solo as "stack" duo is pre calculated because well stacking) you should have a team full of strong individuals to balance the books not make the game significantly harder because of the lack of synergy and skill rating. Big issue for years now is high elo is never populated enough to balance all tiers fairly. We open the floodgates to populate diamond through pred better, pred 750 is way to low and needs to be a separate tier for them like overwatch top 250 etc and then the snobs of apex turn their noses up like you on got said tier because of changes etc. The big issue is it's just been setup way to low for seasons compared to peers (other competitive fps rank systems), they all are way more populated at high elo so have the structure and player count to fill those lobbies fairly. Fingers crossed the changes are finally game changing for ranked in general and the solo queue warlords.
r u forgetting that the majority of console is casual? from bronze to plat its just people who play on a 40inch tv after school or work who r on 60 frames n still run default settings. there's also still people on old gen and switch payers who r on 30 frames that r in the same lobbies...
the matchmaking changes will do nothing so ill just pretend its not there in the first place. if they have to hide the trailer so far back its pretty obvious its gonna be 50% skins 50% filler

Console is capped at 120 FPS, we would still have to compete against PC with higher FPS, jitter aim, scripts, and not to mention all of the cheaters. So no thank you to forced cross play in ranked.
Console and PC lobbies together? I normally dont call out takes but thats one that I will always find dumb for FPS games. If you have ever played on both then its easy to notice a difference almost right away. FPS games dont do this for valid reasons. I prefer to play games on my console but the few I double dipped on with my PC though like OW made this apparent to me that I would not want to mix the lobbies.
Don’t say supporting 120 fps it’s not consistent it arranges between 90 to 110 if u stay still and look up u can get perfect 120 but some parts of the map I get like 90 frames, imagine going up against a pc moving everywhere while staying at 244 fps the entire time

We got matchmaking changes this season as well and I have seen how trash that was so I am not getting excited about that. Until they prove that they are capable of doing things right I just assume they are incapable of doing this right and they have shown how incapable they are for seasons now!

Most say it due to actors strike they couldn't do launch trailer but they can do launch trailers without the actors and most point out when Apex launch they didn't have launch trailer that worked well for them well back then no one really knew Apex didnt know what to expect form it they give it a shot and wasn't too harsh on the game now everyone knows what Apex is about and what expect for it and they will be harsh on it

I only play apex with my friend and my wife and we only play ranked i love the idea of it but at the same time it would ruin the game for me and i would just uninstall it at that point
Furthermore console players (myself) cannot compete with the mnk movement my wife played on pc for a week and those lobbies were so sweaty we couldn’t play and that was just cuz of the MASSIVE movement difference
Forcing console players to play with pc players is a way to kill your game completely. The game is going in wrong direction and lacks the new legends meta changes and good ranked mode to make it great again.

Solo queue is the ONLY way Ranked works. Segregate PC and Console ranked lobbies, period.

If they force console to play with PC then they need to fix tap strafe and other OP movement tech not available to controllers. Also I don't think PC ranked players would be ready for the 6 manning/ modded controllers, it still happens even after hideouts addressing it.
the only think mnk has over console controller is tap strafe and move while looting, both can superglide (superglide is easier on a console that has low fps). the 6 manning, modded controllers, and wifi connection will definitely annoy people even more
Pc lobbies are 90% controller players and maybe one out every one hundred game do I die to another mouse and keyboard player.
Permanent solo mode with 2 respawns if you die is the solution for solo queue players so they don’t have to play against 3 stacks players or playing with dump teammates or if they don’t want to use the mic because this game is a team based game. Solo mode is essential in every game.
Why do all pc goons think that “120 fps is the ticket that’s the only thing that matters”. Its not the movement the bindings even tho they are “banned” the advantage of long range tracking and flicking it’s not just frames per second damn this is so redundant to be said
This game is so horribly optimized I don't even get 120 fps most days on PC. Tracking and close range fights matter so much more than flicking or long range tracking. The redundancy comes from console players, who have never touched a pc and don't play in pc lobbies, telling pc players that they are superior when a computer is doing half the work for console.

I’ve played since day 1. I have only in the last few season played a little ranked. I’m on ps5, I’ve kept cross play on. I can tell you with 120fps I still can not connect shots with a cracked out octane or wraith on PC with tap strafe. Take that out, even out aim assist between pc and 120fps console and it’s not an issue anymore. But we all remember the fit everyone had when they reduced tap strafe last time!

Had they made ranked like League's ranked with solo and flex queues, they could have maybe saved playerbase, but losing nearly 2/3 of playerbase with shoving more events down our throats was unfortunately EA's strategy, with things like Supervive, COD 6 and Deadlock, I can't see how anything can help Apex recover...
The only thing that can turn this game around is making ranked solo q only. They already tried make easier to hit masters so theres more people and so masters play only with masters, and did not work out.
Gonna get hate for this, but as a pc player with around 7k hours on pc, 800 or so hours on console, i do think that forcing crossplay would be ideal (as a pc player). For the console players that are gonna hate, think about it from our perspective. Most of the players that play this game are on console, you don’t have to sit in que, in NA servers, for sometimes 5-10 minutes. That que time would get even worse if we made it so plats cannot play against preds. If we combined pc/console, it would fix the que time AND put correct ranks against correct ranks. Not every pc player plays on 120+ fps either, but just have some perspective. It might make your games harder, but flexing isn’t the main point of ranked. It’s supposed to put you against similarly skilled opponents, which this system that Jmeyels suggested, would do. (However I do think that people will quit because the lobbied are harder, but that would only be initially. Whereas right now, with how games are going, long term the game is dying). I’m just saying something has to happen, and it might be good for the game long term

@rubrtt Yeah spitfire meta back in season 0 as well as season 8-9 was brutal. Also was at a time where caustic was meta in the first half of S8 and revtane was meta in season 8-9.

@rubrtt Gibby ,wraith, wattson and path was unironically one of the most fun legend metas to play in back in season 4 (I main Wattson since season 2). Though lifeline was pretty much o bsolute back then.
I just think they need to add solo queue as a separate queue. if people playing together make matches take longer to queue with other players playing together. Id rather have longer queues if it means better matchs.
The problem isn’t that plat and diamond players are queing with masters and preds. It’s the fact that GOLD players having been getting matches with master and preds for NUMEROUS seasons with zero communication whatsoever from respawn.
I would be fine with a PC console merge if the PC movement was tied with console movement. I.e not moving while looting or let console do that as well.

@@DefCantGame Or just keep PC players out of Console lobbies. No reason for consoles, that have a majority of the people playing on TVs with hella input lag, to be forced to play against PC players. I could understand merging the players that are on 120hz with PC, console players would still be at a huge disadvantage though and would probably kill the player base(especially with them lowering the console players AA to pc values). PC has too many things you can do to have a bigger advantage compared to consoles that are just plug and play, overclocking controllers is one example.

solo que sucks as you could be a decent player and end up getting teammates that have ratted to get their points so when you're climbing ranks it just feels like a burn out after plat/diamond and i usually just stop playing as getting to diamond solo is so tedious, especially too with the variables of region. i play on London servers, i'm from the UK but my games are constantly matched with french or other players. we also get tons of people from the middle east. even though im on london servers it is rare i play with english people and very rare i play with english speakers that can speak english well enough to work as a team.
so i just stopped playing ranked all together an then the problem is still the same in pubs so if i do play now. which is rare i just play mixtape for maybe 1 hour then i am bored of apex and jump off which is crazy as i used to play about 3-4 hours daily. now i play maybe 2 hours a week

I play solo and all I get players that are under lvl 200 and my rule is I refuse to play with people under lvl 200 because 90% of the players hit ranks they don’t deserve
They just have to make soloQ easier to climb than if you were in a squad. Just limit how much RP you lose and increase RP you gain if you soloQ. No more splitting the playerbase anymore since it's impossible now.

Soloq only would make it so much more challenging and it would highlight players who can actually play game with different roles on a team. Br ranked shouldnt be a killrace as it is right now. High placement and high damage/suffesfull abilities and rotations should be the goal of a br ranked match.
What happened with last season battle pass was not a win. EA put out their original plan knowing it wud cause outrage so they cud pull back to having a "better paid pass with the one u can buy with coins" to make players happy. The players just let EA manipulate them into this new battle pass just because they put a worse one first and most of the fan base got gaslite. They can talk about changes all they want but we all know the only two things that matter right now are matchmaking and servers and until they fix that they are going to lose players, which is prolly what they want so they can sunset the game because it's not making all the money anymore.
Considering EA wants to up their money game i'm also worried with not releasing anything because they want to force an even MORE aggresive system and since it usually takes a whole season to revent changes they want to actually try instead of getting backlash... IDK i'm not spending either way
And dude, the real soluion to matchmaking is merging servers and overhauling the system. Some zone doesn't need so many servers (I'm form S, we have 5 servers and i have to play on NA cause i can't find a single game in any mode. My boy started playing , level 13, everyone that kills him is like over level 300 and like 20k kills, i assume they don’t have matchmaking for pubs but it’s a bad experience for new players, they don’t stand a chance in trios, duos, LTM or TDM . Synergy vs no synergy is a big advantage in any competitive fps stacks vs duo/solo have had way to much of a monopoly and easier time even for years now. Yes it's a "team game" but there is no reason to force a "big brother matchmaking" system to make the strongest individual hard carry if solo/duo (normally the solo as "stack" duo is pre calculated because well stacking) you should have a team full of strong individuals to balance the books not make the game significantly harder because of the lack of synergy and skill rating. Big issue for years now is high elo is never populated enough to balance all tiers fairly. We open the floodgates to populate diamond through pred better, pred 750 is way to low and needs to be a separate tier for them like overwatch top 250 etc and then the snobs of apex turn their noses up like you on got said tier because of changes etc. The big issue is it's just been setup way to low for seasons compared to peers (other competitive fps rank systems), they all are way more populated at high elo so have the structure and player count to fill those lobbies fairly. Fingers crossed the changes are finally game changing for ranked in general and the solo queue warlords.
r u forgetting that the majority of console is casual? from bronze to plat its just people who play on a 40inch tv after school or work who r on 60 frames n still run default settings. there's also still people on old gen and switch payers who r on 30 frames that r in the same lobbies...

Console is capped at 120 FPS, we would still have to compete against PC with higher FPS, jitter aim, scripts, and not to mention all of the cheaters. So no thank you to forced cross play in ranked.
Console and PC lobbies together? I normally dont call out takes but thats one that I will always find dumb for FPS games. If you have ever played on both then its easy to notice a difference almost right away. FPS games dont do this for valid reasons. I prefer to play games on my console but the few I double dipped on with my PC though like OW made this apparent to me that I would not want to mix the lobbies.
Don’t say supporting 120 fps it’s not consistent it arranges between 90 to 110 if u stay still and look up u can get perfect 120 but some parts of the map I get like 90 frames, imagine going up against a pc moving everywhere while staying at 244 fps the entire time

Most say it due to actors strike they couldn't do launch trailer but they can do launch trailers without the actors and most point out when Apex launch they didn't have launch trailer that worked well for them well back then no one really knew Apex didnt know what to expect form it they give it a shot and wasn't too harsh on the game now everyone knows what Apex is about and what expect for it and they will be harsh on it

I think console players are mostly casual and if they are forced to play with pc players they will quit. Getting 360 wall bounced on every game is not a good time lol. I feel like at least half of the console player base will quit if they make that change. Just my opinion
I only play apex with my friend and my wife and we only play ranked i love the idea of it but at the same time it would ruin the game for me and i would just uninstall it at that point
Furthermore console players (myself) cannot compete with the mnk movement my wife played on pc for a week and those lobbies were so sweaty we couldn’t play and that was just cuz of the MASSIVE movement difference
Forcing console players to play with pc players is a way to kill your game completely. The game is going in wrong direction and lacks the new legends meta changes and good ranked mode to make it great again.

PC and console lobbies should have been combined for years now. People should stop crying and just get good. The console players will greatly outweigh the PC players, so it's not like you'll be the only console player in a lobby full of PC players
