Multiple reasons: 1: I started this as a hobby and I never liked in youtube how channels beg viewers to like and subscribe, I never want to ask people to do that, I just hope people can enjoy some of my videos without hassle, reminders and that kind of stuff 2: I cant get ad money because the video events arent filmed by myself but the organizations, if there are ads on my videos, then the money goes to the copyright holders and also to the music makers 3: I did get lots of emails years ago about offers to make my channel more popular and there were many offers to make money with ads where I myself put video of me advertising products on my videos. The reason I didn't do it was that I always hated seeing that stuff on other people's videos and I didn't want that on my channel. Like I said, I just wanted this to be a hobby channel, something that might bring little joy for people around the world. I dont care how many subscribers I have, how many likes or dislikes my videos have, I dont care about the statistics really That being said, I do need money, everyone does! But I try to keep it this way and I think viewers would definitely like it this way without me selling some product in the middle or beginning of the videos 4: Finally, I got burned out at some point, I was making so many videos years ago, lots of people contacted me in facebook, asked me to do stuff and so on, in the end I just removed my social media completely (not only because of that but yeah, that was one reason), I am also very tired in general, I rarely check any comments here, I dont have notifications even on anymore, there's always people requesting me to do this or that or people just fighting or being rude. It's tiresome. So now I have like 3 youtube channels and all have different stuff in them

why isn't your channel monetized??
