You're not the first one who when listening to VIXX doesn't feel it as kpop and that's because they've always broken the mold. Congrats to your cousin for such a beautiful recommendation! No doubt you will continue to be surprised by VIXX and I hope you continue to react to them. You're in for a lot of theatricality, great music, great vocals and beautiful MVs but caution if you have a sensitive stomach xb.
kpop has a lot of different sounds and groups. with so many groups doing edm, hip hop, r&b, pop, etc. you just have to explore and find the music that excites you. you have to remember the label ''kpop'' just means korean popular music. this song was good, thanks.
If you're looking for more of a dance vibe from VIXX well try Dynamite, Chained Up, Eternity, Rock Ur Body or On&On. Honestly though they have a lot of different sounds and they are at their best when it comes to delivering a story, especially the darker themes. They are best known for dark, creepy and unsettling concepts and the top of that list is their Voodoo Doll. That being said, they are currently on a hiatus because of military services tho individual members are out there having solo works and acting. Error is about a broken heart and how the singer cannot get over his lost love, and tbh this song is kinda light for some of their pieces.
Would definitely recommend listening to more songs by VIXX! They have one of the most unique and immaculate discographies I've heard, not just in Kpop, but any music group. They're not afraid to get out there and experimental with their music, and the complexity of their songwriting, especially their later releases, is just on another level. I think you'd enjoy their Conception Trilogy, which has a Greek Mythology concept. MVs include Dynamite, Fantasy, and The Closer.
