Man, when I was a kid, even crappy pictures of blue whales were few and far in between. Now there are dozens of high quality videos, even showing mothers with calves and feeding. It's still always such a thrill to see, unreal!
I remember as a kid i was so angry with poachers who went after whales. I'm so happy and grateful to those who fought hard so we could enjoy the existense of such beautiful and ancient beings of earth.❤

Their lungs have a capacity of about 5000 liters which is about 10 fully filled bath tubs, They can stay under water for about 90 minutes, but usually resurface after roughly 30.
I love these creatures. I see them sometimes when i am out Deep Sea fishing and they come up to the boat and they get so close to it but yet so gentle. They like to put on a show. its typically the same ones we see as well, like repeat customers.

@@denniscrork318 sea mammals evolution is very interesting, believe as fish came out the sea their ventral fins move back to create legs to walk then as mammals went back into the sea those legs fussed together to create the tail fin. This is why sea mammals tails are on a horizontal plane and fish are on a vertical. There was a very interesting series on BBC years ago where they autopsy large animals, really interesting even if you don't believe in evolution it's worth a watch.

Yeah same here as the only biggest marine mammals I have got to see was Orcas on a handful of occasions and once I got to she a humpback whale oh and walrus a few times
@@ferguson8143 I've seen a few dolphins off the coast of Florida and a couple of seals in California. I'd love to see a manatee or two.

Oh my goodness. This is PERFECTLY Mother Nature I’m action. BREATHTAKING. Seeing a blue whale in person is definitely on my bucket list and has been since I was a little girl. We went whale watching often, however, there were very few whales (any kind) at that time. By heart is full knowing they are making a come back. Thank you so much for this video. ❤
