Jeez, that game against the Liliana deck was top notch. I was amazed to see you win that one, grinding into the late game against a control deck with lots of removal and resources. Quality content as always!!
I didn't even realize that I was up against LVD! I never pay attention to my opponent's names. Yeah, that angel of eternal dawn messed my plan up so bad! At least LVD finished me off super quick haha.
I really appreciate how you take the time to go over every part of the deck, it makes it easier for me to decide if I want to pull the trigger on crafting certain cards in the list I don’t have
@@LegenVD i watch them most of the time - even if i knew all the cards, it adds some nice context to the viewing experience - for example, if you top deck exactly the card you need to finish out a close game, it's like the protagonist's ally coming into save the day in the final hour. if you introduce them much earlier in the story, it's a big payoff, but if you introduce them in that scene, it feels much cheaper.
Legendvd, here goes a suggestion, what about a goro goro brawl deck? It'll be meme of course, but I think it can do lots of fun stuff, specially in a ramp-ish deck
45:25 a trick you can do here is actually leave Giada in the yard, and then when you play resplendent marshall you can exile her to put a +1/+1 counter on all your other angels, and then you put her back in the command zone (works especially well here because if the marshall plan fails the nightmare would exile your yard anyway)
Idk about in paper, but in historic brawl I don't think there's anything remotely close to being as good as Giada for angel tribal. Getting a guaranteed early play that helps you ramp into your other angels (as LVD points out, very few angels are cheap), while also having a very significant second ability in addition to the ramp, is just completely irreplaceable.
If Giada survives it already generates extra mana and we're in great shape. If it gets removed the Mox quickly turns into a dead card. It's also not like we have a lot of 1-drops to play afterwards either, so we're not always getting immediate value. In a deck where the commander is 1 cmc or even 2 cmc if it's something like Red Aggro or Kinnan I would definitely play Mox Amber.
Well. those opponents commanders felt much more closer to my experience than the previous ones. Good piloting, ngl, i was not expecting you to win this liliana one with good davriel emblem though it could be to the fact op got little bit unlucky with the las draws.
@@LegenVD Those commanders you faced are felt like "average-power" ones. Not as broken as Golos-league and not some as minotaur-tribal. I mostly play old ones but not solely.
@@romanishchenko1742 Given how many commanders there are now I would classify them as above average, although not quite in the Teferi, Kinnan & Golos Tier.
There are a ton of great options that aren't on Arena once you expand to EDH. Too many to list here but I recommend checking out EDHRec for ideas: edhrec.com/commanders/giada-font-of-hope
@@LegenVD i found out that sacreficing a 3 cmc to get serra paragon. Then getting Said 3cmc back is always great ^^ For the 6cmc to 7 getting emissary on board from the deck is always a game changer. That why i run the 6 cmc angel that can be foretold. To get giada Or even the Pyre itself when she etb ^_^
48:59: Angel of the Dire Hour living up to its name!

Angel of the Dire Hour certainly proved that the card lived up to its name indeed! 👼

I blinked and that match was over, woof haha
Your Sephara deck is my go to deck for quickly doing dailies for white spells and quick wins. Definitely going to give this a try now. Thanks.
This one probably isn't as quick for your dailies as you'll face tougher opponents.
That angel video also has Tegrid as the final opponent, interesting.
I really appreciate how you take the time to go over every part of the deck, it makes it easier for me to decide if I want to pull the trigger on crafting certain cards in the list I don’t have
Love angels both as creatures and thematically, thanks for a fun video!
Yesss I love this commander! Was waiting for this 🤩
I always skip the deck tech so the matches are more of a surprise ngl
+1
It's there for those who want it or aren't familiar with all the cards, but the chapters should make it easy to skip.
@@LegenVD The chapters are indeed much appreciated

Luca is definitely the guardian angel to Arena haha awesome deck man!
I want to thank you for being seemingly the only magic youtuber who can pronounce Giada correctly.
I try 😅

Good point!
Finally, one of the best Angel's tribal commander. I used this fairy since her appearance in New Capenna and enjoy every seconds of it
It’s a solid commander.

I understand the Nancy Sinatra reference.
At 38:10, could you have cast the arcane signet first, and then the Angel of Eternal Dawn?
Indeed!
i would definitely add Mox Amber to any deck wiyh a 2cmc commander

@@LegenVD I guess so, but I just like the upside of a t3 5cmc Angel, since there are quite a lot of them.
I took out one plains for the Mox. Works well. :)

It all depends on which commander you play. A lot of the newer ones aren't always classified properly, so you get a wider variety of matchups.

Damn it man, don't tease me with Serra's image and not make a Serra deck. Enjoyed the vid.
Sweet list. Would you also play with Greaves in this kind of deck? The Boots seemed like the real MVP
Greaves aren't on Arena, otherwise definitely!
If I were to make this for EDH play, what would be the recommended swap for the Alchemy cards?

Jesus, that last player's username
38:10 LVD proving he's a mortal capable of simple errors, not playing signet first.
Love the deck! Is there a good black&white angel tribal? I just love rampage of the valkyries so much I always want to include it in my angel decks.
Liesa for example.
When I tried to play Giada HBrawl I found people just killed Giada every time.
I'm a simple man. I see Angels, I click.
Hahaha....true
Was wondering if there is a reason you are not running pyre of heroes. It just seem to be such a over performer for me!
Could be worth it, although most angels I wouldn't want to sacrifice.

Didn't look like hell queue, but certainly tier 1-2 opponents
For the algorithm
Blinded by an angel. Or seven.

It's a good MVC comment when i laugh at it but i am disappointed at myself for doing so.
This deck could really use a Divine Visitation.
Why? This is not a tokens deck, it will often do literally nothing.
