Initially, I thought the industry had black balled her too, but when you really look at it, Mya is winning. She can make the music she wants to make. We never hear of her having financial issues. She can still go places without hiding or getting mobbed by crowds of people. She didn’t have to sell her body or sell out. Meanwhile, for many years, A listers have been trying to free themselves from the control of their record company. Think Christina Aguilera, Pink, Kelly Clarkson to name a few.
