A part of me hopes that if it does happen, I'm alive to help. Even if it's hopeless, even if my actions don't really change anything. It just feels wrong, somehow, to not be around to experience the horror of collapsing civilization when I don't want anyone else to experience that either. I think it would suck if my children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, etc... went through that, and I wasn't there to take some of the brunt of that experience off their shoulders. I think I would feel a bit guilty, if that makes any sense.

The baby looks a bit like Chito, and the father looks similar to their grandfather. Now, look at the blond girl with her family at field day. Her haircolor looks similar to Yuu's. It might only be me who thinks this, but they might actually be the ancestors of Yuu and Chito. There’s a chance they might not be related to Yuu and Chito, and instead be related to Kanazawa and the girl he was with. There are similarities there too. The couple at the foundation may have been his parents. And the people in the hospital could be the parents of the girl who was with him.
"A military press statement, maybe the same military that Yuu and Chito served," They never served in a military. They have that stuff because that is what was given to them by their grandfather when they got out of their villages final collapse.

@@Mallowbillow fyi voice can also be one of instruments in classical music, not to mention it is literally the first ever instrument a human being used
This scene just shows how much Girls' Last Tour is influenced by the World Wars, and I'm not talking about the vehicles and clothes. Before the World Wars, no one thought humanity could end itself. In literature, it was usually alien invaders or God that threatened to end humanity. But the destruction of the World Wars literally blew the minds of Westerners. The Wars leveled Europe, and it now seemed entirely possible that hate and greed could lead to human extinction. Post-apocalyptic fiction has been a thing even before the Wars, but it's only around this period when wars start appearing as a major theme. Girls' Last Tour takes this to the extreme. Humanity is so thoroughly destroyed that even culture is no longer functional. Yuri doesn't know what "Cheese!" means. Chito knows that it's a phrase said before taking a picture, but only because she read it in a book. She doesn't even know what cheese looks like. This whole scene becomes more depressing once you realize that the girls never went to school. School festivals, graduation ceremonies, playing baseball at school, they never experienced any of that. Everything in this scene, they've never experienced. It's a lot like the pandemic. Some kids will never know what preschool is like. Some kids will never know what it's like to graduate school. For some kids, life without facemasks may feel wrong. You've probably already experienced juniors not knowing some things that you consider basic and obvious, things they would've learned had it not been for the pandemic. Imagine that on a more severe scale, and you get Chito and Yuri. To them, everything in this scene is alien, and our social norms mean nothing, because that's how utterly destroyed their world is.
You can see at 0:26 that these 2 tanks are old german Panzer III. and/or IV. tanks that were used in ww2 but in front of the left tank you see one of these modern war robots with four legs I think that these tanks only look old but in technical standpoint they maybe have modern technology (like stabilizers and modern ammunition)
It's either that, or that they started running low on resources and were somehow reduced to using older versions of weapons along side newer weapons. Either way, the results are depressing.
They also went pass some T-34 Tank wrecks on their way if I still remember, also I saw a fanart in deviantart that Chito and Yuuri on top of the wrecked Tiger tank (Don't know why I brought that up?)
"The tragic thing about life is that it desires to destroy itself as much as it wishes to thrive. This is the pattern of all things. With boundless ambition comes boundless consequences. When we were only a little over five hundred thousand years old, we learned rather quickly that our days were numbered. Either by the exhaustion of resources or the selfless acts of a vocal minority, we would inevitably face an early and unsatisfying end. But, despite all of our failures, we were prepared. Our intelligence and our technology had evolved to such a degree that we determined we weren't the first to suffer this fate. And as the knowledge was passed on to us, we decided to divulge what we knew to the children of all stardust."

@@polskizobot7624 has visto las noticias últimamente?
At least it was fun, wasn't it?"
@@Eris.s I still don't understand where they got so much positivity to move on...

War is a baddest solution
This broke me when I first watched ut
This anime pretty much explained what the Fermi Paradox is all about
I remember watching this twice and I am now reading the manga
All those moments completely lost when the camera was eaten..
this scene messed me up so much, i cant believe it was only a minute long😭
The more i whatch this scene the more i think that at the beggining humans used
robots for war, but at the end it was humans vs machines out of human control.
If you lose the proof of existence
If you lose the goal you want to pursue
Then what is our life purpose
Oh yes, this anime represents the theme of the purpose of existence very well.
nooooooooooooooo never be the same after dreamybul montage
Fr 😭
Hey Shimeji!
Hows the simulation holding up?
I came here to keep crying
What a cute video ❤😘
In the anime "Heike Monogatari"
A character comes to the conclusion that his clan will fall down in disgrace, and he simply wishes to die before that happens, i never understood such thing until now, i dont want to be alive when the world breath for the last time
Well, let’s not forget that war is always a threat to humanity.
I cried
Damn just finished the anime
Me too
I think those 3 girls may have been the ones who invented the war robots or at least the prototype
The robots at 0:29 reminds me of the ones in the film "Nine". It isn't too far fetched since both films take place in a post-apocalyptic world of nothingness.
I have seen ‘Nine’ movie, It’s very post-apocalyptic took place in it
Looks like a visual reference to Nausicaa's opening scene
