I really like when you spend time showing how to trace the problem on the schematic then actually go find the wires and switches and show the problem and correct it. Videos like this are invaluable to me. Schematics are my kryptonite. Again, thanks for what you do!!
Excellent troubleshooting! The inclusion of how you search the problem out using the schematics really helps us beginners and makes your videos a notch above the rest. Really enjoyable to watch. Thanks
Love how you go thru and explain how to read the electric wiring prints. I was a pinball tech back in the late 70's for a small family run shop that we had the contract for the collage . Leaned a lot about em machines and then some of the newer PC drive for the lastest machines. We had one of the 1st laser disc for the arcade video games. So glad that I found your feed about saving the old and newer machines. Keep up the good work. Steve Greene from WI.
My first and only EM I owned. I discovered how to burn up the ball save solenoid when I pushed in a fuse that was on the board near a fuse holder w/o first checking if it was the right fuse. Lesson learned.
Excellent videos in troubleshooting! Reminds me of my old system admin job and all the logic and procedural processes you had to use to fix a troublesome servers.
Once you kind of 'get it' they make so much sense. Very logical operation on them and it makes them really easy to fix once you kind of have your 'ah hah' moment with the schematics.
Howdy Ron. Thanks again for all the information and inspiration. I've posted a couple comments previously, and have great news. I have my 1971 Gottlieb "Home Run" add-a-ball up and running 100% coin mech and all. One more machine brought back to life and and demonstrating the magic of the old EMs. I could not have (and probably would not have) taken on the challenge without your documentation on y-tube. For fellow viewers, if you're somewhat smarter than a box of rocks you can do it too! *ding *click *chime. :)
Believe it or not, somebody dropped off a home run yesterday to be repaired! I’ll film videos of it but it’ll be a couple months it has a really bad repaint job….
@@LyonsArcade That's interesting. Mine has an odd re-paint on the cabinet too. The shape of the graphics are correct but all white areas are painted an apple green and the entire thing brush painted. Lost brothers?
Thanks Joe because I've searched everywhere for a decent picture and I can't find nothing I'm learning the schematic though but it's kind of kind of hard you don't know really what you're looking at I appreciate it you're the best
Amazing to watch you troubleshoot these old EM games. I'm envious of that talent. Did you ever replace that 4th strobe light for the attract function? I never saw it light in all the video..
I just pick a stardust up today and it needs a good cleaning I know but wanted to see if it would work it powers up but the player 1&2 and 3&4 relays keep going and wont stop Just wondering if you might know where I need to check out to maybe get them to stop
Hey Joe it's Randy I need your help I'm on the last end of this game I'm trying to put new coin switches in it micro switches they didn't have anything they were chopped I got the schematic it's only three wires hooked up to the switches what I understand but I can't understand how to hook the wires where everything I try and not starting the game it'll add a credit but it won't start the game
Ok I up loaded two videos it's a 3-wire switch changing it from leaf switch on there when did I guess they were mangled they weren't on there what to put micro switches two micro switches
Is there any way you can help me to let me know which color wires go where I got to coin shoots but I wanted to I'm using 25 cent Mech on both so even though the one is probably set for $0.05 it'll still think it's a quarter when it passes the switch

Thank you Stump we appreciate it as always!
I admire your patience and skills with electronics while maintaining a sense of humor.
Thank you for watching, Dom!

Thank you Rich, we'll have more coming in the future.

JOE, YOU ROCK!!!! KEEP ON MAKING THESE GREAT REPAIR VIDEOS!!!!
Thanks Scott, we're filming some right now :)
Great video. I'm currently working on a Gottlieb Bronco I just got and your videos are very helpful.
Very cool man good luck!

It happens! I've burnt up all kinds of stuff :)
Excellent videos in troubleshooting! Reminds me of my old system admin job and all the logic and procedural processes you had to use to fix a troublesome servers.
Probably very similar, it's just all trying to think like the system is thinking, thanks for watching burnouttx see you on the next video!
Love the troubleshooting! I only dabble in EM's but the more I get comfortable reading the schematics the less intimidating they are.

I just uploaded it, it looks like a couple of my wire colors are different but we can probably figure it out...
Great video Joe. These old EM machines are quite the marvel in design. I hope to see more troubleshooting videos in the future.
Thanks Chuck, we'll have more soon :)
Nice video! Just picked up my first em that needs work. OLYMPIC HOCKEY. So many relays and wiring on these games.
great video! thanks for doing it, I know its tricky to try and film while troubleshooting but this really helps
Love these schematic videos ,, helps so much ,, 👍👍

Yes we noticed it eventually :)
Fun! Thanks for the video.
Thanks Jeff!

Thanks for the video you help me learn to schematics
What about the credit light by the left flipper?

It's the 73 Williams darling I will upload a video to my page with the picture of the schematic for the coin units coin switches and the wires
I'm gonna upload a video for you here in a few minutes Randy hopefully it'll help you figure it out

We can figure out, which game is it?
Hey I got a pro football machine that I'm having problems with
No bonus at the end of the game? I would feel like I have been ripped off.
You'd think it would have one!
