it really depends on the sound tech. The toms occupy the same tonal range as guitar and vocals, so they're difficult to fit in the mix.
I think they toured with tim yeung this time instead of george, that's why
Gregory Foresi nah dude, george has always had the tendency to play very lightly when he is doing very fast tom rolls. Watch his own videos, you will notice it. Cant really blame him for that, it is extremly hard to do. But the sound engineer cant make toms sound good when the drummer doesnt hit them hard enough.

I worked a few theater sized multi band gigs and without exception, the drummer wanted as little light as possible in their areas. After a while, the stage can feel light a microwave over under all the lights and such.

no doubt. There's a ton of great songs in the bands discography at this point but they hardly play any of them. Nile is one of the greatest bands in all of metal. That being said they sure do like to play the same set list for years and years....

dont bitch about audience, we were standing for 3 hours, the show got delayed due to orthodox activists. Belphegor has been on a bill as well but got cancelled due to threats. So yeah, it wasn't usual smooth evening.
