I just found you and you’re the clearest I’ve watched (I’ve watched plenty vids lol) when it comes to pattern making... will you be doing a pants and dress block as well in the future? Love your work either way! Keep it up! 💕
wow thank you for this wonderful comment! yes i will teach a basic pants foundation soon. i just couldn't figure out how to fit that on my camera but i will make it possible! and because you requested it i will be glad to do it very very soon for you! thank you so much you're the sweetest!
OMG! I got so fed up with making a sleeve pattern that worked with my self made bodice pattern, I quit sewing for almost 2 years. THANK YOU! This fit perfectly, and will be the only method I will use to draft sleeves from now on.
Thanks for sharing. You are the most clear in drawing the sleeve. The others just show how they draw but never explains why it needs to be drawn. I wish I can sew like you can.
I want you to know how amazing you are! There are not a lot of pattern making tutorials that show the sewing at the end. When the sleeve cap was pressed I was done! You killed this! Brava, I’m a subscriber!
❤️❤️❤️❤️ wow thank you very much! I’m glad that you enjoyed watching my tutorial! Promise to post more contents like this one! This brings so much happiness to see that my audience are learning same time enjoying my tutorials! God Bless you! ❤️🙏🏼
Thank you for your tutorial ma'am, I have always problems with armhole and sleeves to attaching it, but now I found the Solution for my problems.. tq again 😍.
Thank you! I’ll give it a try. I’ve been stuck and frustrated with the excess measurement from the sleeve cap! Wish me luck, I hope this method works for me
This is quite insightful. I just stepped into the industry and understanding everything around armhole and sleeve fit has been a problem for me. After watching and reading numerous videos and articles on different sites, I don't know what or who to believe. However It looks like the solution is here. I will be subscribing to your channel, then let's see how the journey goes. I think you are great. You make it look so simple
Hi, Miss Lodeliste , I m terribly sorry that related to my last message to you just minute ago. . Therefor there’s no Mix videos showed up before The extended sleeves video. I m very appreciated from the bottom of my heart for your sharing!
Thank you so much, i am really confused with sleeves and it's variations in armhole depths as in different garments, could you please make a tutorial for how to increase armhole depth and sleeve cap height for different garment ❤
Can I use my own measured bicep measurement instead of guessing it with the maths at the beginning and same for the cap sleeve and it will still work ? I'm afraid of not getting it right I'm trying to find the best way to do it

Oh yes, I keep on forgetting since I’m really used to the Imperial measurements. But I will do it on the next videos. But here is a method to convert inches = 1 inch x 2.54 = 2.5 cm
Hi! I would love to use your sleeve method! But i an sorry, i dont understand the formule. Can you give a example in cm? Is t armhole depth diveded by 6 X 5? I am totally lost 😅
Hi I’m sorry I a not used to working on CMs but you can always convert them here’s an example; 6 inches X (multiply by) 2.54 = 15.2 CMs I hope this helps ☺️
Hello, is it normal that when I have the sleeve opened, before sewing it and making a 'cylinder' out of it, the two sides of it do not match? I mean, when I fold the sleeve in two, following the grain line, the two sides are irregular, they do not match
Hi there! Yes in some instances this could be a possibility. But it shouldn’t be more than an inch. So go back again to your pattern, take the measurements of the underarm side seams and if you find an issue on one side, try to fix it by redrafting that side and make it identical to the other side so that they have the same measurements. Tell me if this helps

But can I apply the arm bend to a dartless sleeve?.
You can of course, it’s just an option if you want a Dartless one or just a plain set in sleeve

I use cm for my measure can I apply this same method
Yes of course, just multiply the inches to 2.54 et voila you’ll get the measurements in Centimeters
Where in the armhole do you start your final stitch to garment? Thank you...I am a beginner!
Underarm seam
@@LAMODÉLISTE Thank you!!! I love your tutorials!!
Should the center of the sleeves cap meet to the shoulder?
yes they should, that's why there's a notch on the center.
@@LAMODÉLISTE oh okay thank you very much
Its the same as the patternmaking for fashion design book technic
Yes it is
amhole depth formula for inches you gave for in cms which formula we should follow
To calculate inches to centimeters simply use this:
Example:
1 inch x 2.54 = 2.5 centimeters
👍👍👍
Good job Ma'am, After trying it out,I noticed I can't raise my hand, and reason and solution
How come? Did you get the armhole measurements exactly from the bodice?
@@LAMODÉLISTE Yes Ma'am
Hello did you just sew the dart closed ??? Please???
Yes
@@LAMODÉLISTE thank you so much...when I make my own darted sleeve I will show you
Hello, is it normal that when I have the sleeve opened, before sewing it and making a 'cylinder' out of it, the two sides of it do not match? I mean, when I fold the sleeve in two, following the grain line, the two sides are irregular, they do not match

which fabric do you used
i used a synthetic wool
Ma. Please how can I get the patterns. Thanks.
By doing it.
Please can u also do in cm.
Inches X 2.54 = Centimètres
What size you made it....is it size 6 or 8?
size 2
Tried this, but the bicep became too big, can i simply use the bicep measuremenr without using this formula?
Hi, yes you can mix up the techniques
Hi maam front block u had drawn horizontal line right..how did you draw that exactly to that point ..I hope it's nt cross front also ..
Can you put the timestamp please? I’m sorry I just couldn’t understand your question 🥺
How to put timestamp maam
In front bodice can u see one horizontal line near the armhole so how did you get that ma'am ...
@@Niharika428 okay I think I get it now, it’s the cross front / cross back line or commonly known as chest line
@@LAMODÉLISTE yeah it's cross front usually back block u see the line is middle f armhole but front I can see it's too down so I asked u
Hi can you tell us how much in cm i dont use inch and i dont get it
1 inch is equivalent to 2.54cm… just always multiply inches with 2.54 and you’ll get the CM equivalent.
👍
Me: Hmm where is that accent from?
Brit: "lah..?"
Mystery solved. lol❤️
Philippines!!! “Lah” is from SG. Hahaha oh my gosh do I sound like a singaporean lah? ✌🏼😅
