good song well done :)
Love your music💜
One of the best things about Natewantstobattle’s fnaf songs is that I can always take the lyrics out of the context of the fnaf universe. It makes it even more enjoyable to listen to for when I’m trying to find inspiration for a story.
I think the chorus was pretty poor on the timing of delivery of lyrics, but the instrumental and verses are beautifully done. a good song but not his best, well done nate ❤
I agree
The amount of times I've used his FNaF songs for a Fire Emblem character is a but embarrassing, especially since it went up by another one now with this one
Exactly! People often to listen to music just for music, but I always listen to it when thinking of my own original story concepts.
I can heavily relate!
I’ve more been along the ride for Nate’s originals than his fan tracks, but seeing him being these to such an exciting conclusion still seems like it’ll be dope
@@meaganthemarionette4899 not op but those are 2 of my favourite albums in general I'm so hyped that we're going to be getting more of that!!! whilst I love the fandom songs as well it seems like he has more fun with the original stuff (or at least it comes across that way in the music)
@@meaganthemarionette4899 i mean I'm the same way, I was never really big into fnaf so I was never excited that a new fnaf song was out. but new anime cover, new original song, or even playing his OG songs when they were still available I still have dark pulse stuck in my head to this day, but I've heard his fnaf stuff, and it still just Nate to me I don't really care about the fnaf themes in the songs anymore. Still a banger, cant wait for his new big projects, been here 8 years
I was into a little bit of everything, I disliked a few, cant remember the names, but from ip to original, most of his songs I enjoy and sing along to
Thank you so much for about 6 years of catchy songs and covers! We’ll miss you greatly!
He's still going to make music, just not game or tv songs
@@nikkiheck9439 Doesn’t matter I’m still going to listen to his music no matter what
He isn’t leaving-
@@HeroTheHedgehog999 😐
He's not leaving
There’s always been something special about Nate. Honored to have been part of the journey brother. October 25th 🖤
Now with RUIN this fits so well with the ending... And Gregory and Cassie...
This one hurts to listen too lads. Hard to enjoy knowing we're reaching the end of an era. Super proud of Nathan for deciding to pursue his own music though. Bittersweet but fitting, I guess it really is time for us to move on 😔
Funnily enough you just quoted William Afton. “Bittersweet… but fitting.”
@@TheCyberKid707 you look me in my pfp and tell me it wasn't intentional /lh
Regardless of this being your final fnaf song, I am forever grateful for the inspiration your wonderful songs gave me, daydreaming back then and still to this day my little world - the one that would someday be my masterpiece of a game. Thank you for everything you’ve done, Nate.
I look forward to this October!
Isn’t there 3 more FNAF songs in the album
@@DracoBlack28 I get the feeling those 3 songs are the last three Security Breach song he did. Aka To My Grave, Time To Move On, and Always Come Back
@@aquaticchaos1717 he said brand new FNAF songs
@@DracoBlack28 yeah which those 3 including this new one that just got released. Are basically the new songs
@@DracoBlack28 in that case awesome
This is... One of the best songs you've ever made. Literal goosebumps
Going out with a bang is an understatement. But I'm excited to see what comes next
I’m hooked on this like a drug, its so good..
Honestly, with Ruin, this takes on such a great context!
Agreed, it just feels a lot more powerful imo.
listening to this song after ruin got my eyes *widening* lmao
(ofc i know there's no way nate could've based this on ruin but it's cool how well these lyrics aged)
I can't believe with each of these beautiful songs we're genuinely getting closer to the end, Nate has been my top Spotify artists for as long as I've had the app and it's so surreal to imagine a year completely without him on the list
Does that mean he'll return in a year or am I misreading your comment?
He said hes not quitting music, hes just moving on from fandom music.
@@bnashee oh ok thanks for clearing that up!
@@bnashee To be fair, he's a human being, free to do what he wants (as long as it's legal), regardless, I will miss his fandom songs, cause that's what made him stick out among other popular artists and bands such as Lincoln Park, Coldplay, etc.
You'll never hear a Lincon Park or Coldplay song based off of Fnaf or BaTIM with an emotional aura, let alone a cover of an existing songs that are in different media. Though I'd love to hear Coldplay do a cover of Red Swan, which was used as the 4th OP in AoT.
@@captainrick4513 yeah but i mean that level of fame usually doesn't appear from fandom songs, as there always will be a specific amount of people into said fandom
This song could also be interpreted as Michael denouncing William as his father as well. That’s what I love about Nate’s songs, because his songs can also be applied differently in multiple contexts.
Exactly what I was thinking. It starts out with him having a hard time coming to grips with his father’s true nature, and ends with him realizing and rethinking all he ever knew about him
I thought it was in the perspective of that one guy who worked with him but got screwed over by William
What's the other interpretation?
@@lava3256 His name is Henry in case you were still trying to remember and if you weren't then go ahead and ignore this comment
I personally thought it was Crying child due to the line "he wasn't but was it worth it" could be him asking William if he's happy with losing everything and everyone around thanks to his actions
There has never been a more apt time and place to say "end of an era." I've been watching this channel since it was Nate himself making FNAF songs, and after seeing the growth into Give Heart Records and now recently watching Nate's video on how he's moving on is honestly the most bittersweet chain of events I've seen. I can't wait to see what Nate's got in store for his own projects, and of course the other members of Give Heart Records to show what they've got in store.
The whole comment section is a mood. You guys know he is still making songs, just broadening himself so he can make more than fandom based music, yeah?
Yeah lmao. They’re talking like he’s done with music
Its gonna be great this man is waaaaaaaaay to skilled to be just doing Fandom stuff
I don’t think you realize that the Fandom is just gonna miss him.
Yeah I’m a year late to this discussion, when some leaves a mark on a community, it’s hard to say goodbye. I don’t you guys thought bout that have commenting lol.
@@TheAftonArchives Not true! I love Nate's music and I miss watching him livestream - we have had lots of good memories watching him make music live, right in front of us. He's a very talented artist ❤ it's sad he's retired now, but I am sure one day, when a lot of the pressure is gone and he misses making music?? He might make more.
Looking back at the song now, I'm starting to feel that this is more of him speaking about himself than relating to Security Breach. While I can imagine an AU where Gregory got Freddy killed for some selfish desire, this is certainly about Nate lashing out at people he thought were his friends.
Especially regarding a certain someone that used to be part of GHR and, if I recall, was a big friend of Nate. Part of me still enjoys the someone's music but still feel torn on what happened. I won't state his name, but like he says is in the song: "Thought you were my family, but now you're nothing to me. It was never ever perfect, tell me was it all worth it?"
Damn you might be right, I can see it being that way now, good observation
Talk about going out with a bang. Man i’ll miss this
This is a song anyone can vibe to.
God the yell at the end is so good
amazing🖤
Been here since Mangled first dropped. Your songs are a significant percentage of my music library, and I'm always excited to see youtube notifications of your posts. It's been one hell of a journey. Thanks so much for all the amazing fnaf songs!
Mangled was amazing. That was the first one I heard, I can’t believe it was almost 7 years ago.
@@LoreCatan PREACH!
@@LoreCatan lol np.
As I listen to this song more and more, I can't shake the thought that this song was inspired from what Nate went through with Andy Stein in 2020. I have no actual evidence to back this theory up and it's most likely not the reason this song was made but it's an interesting thought I wanted to share
Y’know.. you may be onto something there
y'know, it might be since Nate loves to include secret meanings in his fnaf songs
I love how this is just a break-up song disguised as a FNAF song
3:13 The last three hits of that guitar at the end was fire
with the insane vocals too
This is genuinely good!
This honestly feels like William's kids singing about their dad and how he forgot about his family and got addicted to murder. "Thought you were my family but now you're nothing to me". "You said you'd regret this but still followed through"
This song really grew on me since I saw the preview, I love the feeling of betrayal the whole thing has. I love the line "was it all worth it?" it feels so hateful and I love it!
Why do I think Cassie would definitely sing this at the end of Ruin
true, these lyrics hit different after ruin, this song aged pretty well
Wow Nate, this is amazing! Gonna miss your fandom songs but I can’t wait to see what originals you have in store for us
Man, this song is deep ._. Feel bad for Freddy... at least I THINK you're singing about him? Idk, but it's still SO cool! :)
The song kind of fits Henry more if you think about it
In my opinion, in terms of The Fnaf universe. This song is about Henry feeling betrayed by William. The reason why I believe this is because the song has lines like "Sell me out in the end, were you ever a friend? But it was never perfect, tell me was it all worth it? I thought you were my family, but now you're nothing to me." And in general the entire song sounds like the person singing is blaming their friend for wronging them. And how now, they don't care about them anymore. Anyways that's what I believe this song is about, I could be completely wrong. But I really don't think these lyrics really fit any other character in context.
Nate has always made original songs to me. You don’t need to know about the games he talks about to enjoy the music and that’s such an inherently special talent, absolutely incredible.
Absolutely incredible chorus man, man Nate doesn't miss on any of his releases. This song is a absolute bop 😍
We were getting off the ground
To leave our pain behind
So how you gonna burn this down
With nothing left to find?
Yeah, we were gonna run this town
But now you've gone and locked me out
I guess you finally found yourself
Pretending to be, pretending to be someone else
A walking shell
You live on makin' promises yet you can't keep
You're runnin' from the consequence you won't reap
Sell me out in the end
Were you ever a friend?
But it was never perfect
Tell me, was it all worth it?
Thought you were my family
But now you're nothing to me
Yeah, now you're nothing to me
So way to go you superstar, it's lonely at the top
(Lonely at the top)
But know that when you're ten feet tall
It hurts more when you drop
But now we're running out of time
I can't believe you wasted mine
It's really looking like you're fine
Pretending to be, pretending to be a coded lie
You live on makin' promises you can't keep
You're runnin' from the consequence you won't reap
Sell me out in the end
Were you ever a friend?
But it was never perfect
Tell me, was it all worth it?
Thought you were my family
But now you're nothing to me
You said you were hurting, that you were in pain
Was that another part of your game?
You hide in your mask and pretend you belong
Am I just a line in your song?
You said you'd regret this, but still followed through
Now tell me, what was I to you?
You live on makin' promises you can't keep
You're runnin' from the consequence you won't reap
Sell me out in the end
Were you ever a friend?
But it was never perfect
Tell me, was it all worth it?
Thought you were my family
Now you're nothing to me
It was never ever perfect
Tell me, was it all worth it?
Thanks

That song is amazing!!! Elsie Lovelock will love this song.
your songs are amazing and unique
If possible, can you get more of the jacket back in stock? I was hoping to get one before you left for memory’s because your videos and music are amazing, but they all got sold so quickly😅
It has been an honor listening to your music. UA-cam won’t be the same without you.
Does anyone else hear the dna of Nightmare in this one? It’s an excellent callback while also being something completely on its own, excellent work Nate! Can’t wait to see what the future holds!
This song hits me deep somewhere and it's not 'cause he's leaving. It's something deeper than that.
WHY DOES THE RIFF GO SO HARD
0:16 me and the boys on our way to the grocery store
Releasing bangers as always! looking forward to seeing more originals and projects in the future!! :D
The Lyrics are so cool and deep that they could easily be used in other contexts/games, awesome!
The raw emotion in this one is so fucking awesome.
this is my "oh dear god, I have daddy issues" anthem and so much of it hits so uncomfortably close to home
end of an era
real talk, i've been following Nate's work for as long as i can remember. dude's music was a huge part of my childhood and while it's sad seeing "Natewantstobattle" come to a close, im excited to see what Nate does next. The rides over, but the journey is just beginning.
Nice
Thank you for all the years of fandom content you always deliver!!
It's hard to be sad when this is the song you end on. You never disappoint Nate. Good luck wherever your path takes you.
After listening to this for days on end. Putting aside fnaf, I feel like he's singing this for someone. And by the lyrics, I have a vauge idea on who it might be.
Anyways, the whole community will miss ya nate. Having you in it was a blast and I hope better things will come your way!
Mandopony?
Nate if you read this.. I just want you to know your music has been extremely important to me, I'm autistic and I do a thing called stimming its like stress relief and a lot of the time I sing your songs as a part of that. Either in the car or at the store anywhere I am your songs follow me where ever I go. Your anime covers have even inspired me to translate anime ops and write my own anime op covers and perform a concert where I sing them as a big school project, everyone loved it! Your songs during that time helped me understand meanings to some of the songs I had trouble translating allowing me to continue to write the lyrics for the covers. I had so much fun writing covers of my own and your music was what inspired me to do so.. Since Mangled to this song its always nice to have your music in the back of my mind and its gotten me through some really tough times.. So thank you for having a huge impact on my life and rock on.
You can really feel the energy in every word. This maybe one of the last Natewantstobattle songs, but I still can feel the passion in it. Thank you Nate for all of the great songs over the years. See you on the flip side!
From family to nothing to me. Dang, you always write the best lyrics and manage to carry the emotion in your voice while singing. Forever one of my favorite artists.
We've come this far. Thank you Nate for amazing years of Fandom content, we'll miss it!!
My dudes he has 3 more songs after this this isn't the last one 💀
Thank you Nate, for everything. Years of entertainment, especially FNAF songs. Can't way to see whats next bud.
ABSOLUTELY one of your best works yet. I’m so proud of all your hard work over the years, and I’m sure these last songs leading up to Scrap Heap will be an amazing end to your fandom songs. Never stop being you, Nate! You’re a legend!
And even if the fandom songs are ending after Scrap Heap, I’m still looking forward to more original music!
I personally always saw you as one of the most underrated song creator, despite not commenting much back then I was always here to watch you and your channel grow and I just want to say thank you for the amazing memories and the amazing music, I wish for the best of you Nate! and I hope you know that your fans love you!
Another banger, can't help the last part resonate with me...
"It was never, ever perfect"
"Tell me was it all worth it"
Yes, it was Nate. Thanks for the journey!
Really powerful song. Once more, with feelings.
My Canon theory is that Gregory's related to The Afton family. In some way.
God, I love Nate’s songs so much; ever since No More, I’ve been keeping an ear out and his original songs are absolute bops too!!
Count the Teeth and Enjoy the Show are definitely constant favorites, but Nothing To Me takes the cake at #1-such raw and powerful emotion that I can only dream to convey!!
"but know that when youre ten feet tall, it hurts more when you drop" is such a good line holy shit
WOW. The sound of this song blew me away. I haven't even played this game yet. It's just a great song on it's own. I already know what you meant when you said Scrap Heap was some of your favorite tracks you've made so far. The depth, the volume, the instrumentals and vocals all sounded so "HIGH DEFINITION" in this. Your experience really shines here. I don't know how else to say it because I don't speak music production.
its amazing how instead of making original music regarding Nate's irl stuff he decided to make it into a these types of songs!
Even tho this song is a fnaf song, This song helped through all odds. I was in a toxic friend group and this song reminds me of my struggles of being ignored and being in a bad place.
You deserve this break, Nathan. I say Nathan because you are not just NWTB or Give Heart Productions. You are Nathan Sharp. You always were and will be.
I'm really sad to see Nate go, ive really enjoyed his songs throughout the years, but at least he ended things on a high note, this song is absolutely amazing!
This is Amazeing thanks nate all if your fandom songs were great gonna miss that thanks for your Amazeing songs
It’s been a fun ride Nate. We’ll always remember the memories you’ve gave us. I can’t wait for more music from you.
I'm gonna miss your music. thanks for all the great songs you made.
I've only been listening to your songs for 7/8 months, and even though that's a short amount of time compared to everyone else, I've grown attached. And so, I can't wait what future will come, but I'm also sad no more fandom songs, and so, we'll always be Mangled with you Nate!
(Ps. Love that mangled reference at 2:24 )
Greatest FNAF singer ever
3:02 am i the only one who hears this as
"F**k you were my family"?
This is absolutely beautiful, amazing work!!
This song just SPEAKS Michael Afto
More of Henry
This animation is on a new level.
The King is stepping down from the Throne.
Maybe these will be the last songs you release, but every song you made will be enough for us.
Edit: Turns out I was a smoothbrain and didn't get the memo about him being done with fandom music only
he specifically said hes not quitting making music.
he's quitting fnaf music, not "music" as a whole
He’s just quitting FANDOM music; he’ll still be a musician, just making original material
I'm starting to think people just looked at the thumbnail and didn't even bother to watch the video. Nate never even implies that he's done with music as a whole. He use isn't doing Fandom songs anymore.
@@shelfdefence1112 I watched the video and kinda misunderstood it, actually
I'm happy this released on my birthday
everytime i hear this it keeps me thinking of the theory surrounding freddy as the son of William and he singing this to his father doing anything to break his cycle of abuse and murder spree. Freddy doing just that by not just saving this child but also being that what most always wanted to have a dad
We will miss you so much Nathan your songs were so amazing and they will always be you will be remembered as one of the greatest musicians in the entire world
This song gets better and better on relistens. Most of your fnaf songs can be relatable to real life, but this is definitely the least fnaf related fnaf song and also the most fnaf related fnaf song. "Superstar" is really the only fnaf specific line in here and even then if you show this to someone who doesn't know the games it'll make complete sense. Nate has added more depth to Glamrock freddy/Michael Afton than the games themselves ever have. This is like, the 5th song about him and the progression of each of them is really beautiful.
This was absolutely amazing! Dare I say the best FNAF song you’ve ever done Nate. I’m sad to see these kind of songs go, but I can’t wait to see where you go next. Good luck my dude! ❤️
Man I can't believe this is the end. It's been long journey and I'm glad we get at least one last BANGER of a song before Nate goes!
This is easily my new favorite Natewantstobattle song, the production is AMAZING
Goosebumps holy cow. Been here since 2018 and I’m happy for you Nate. From the new announcement last night to moving on professionally, I’m happy for you Nate. Here’s to many more!!!
I have been a fan of Nate for only about a year, but his fandom music and music in general has been something that has been able to cheer me up and make me happy in so many different scenarios, and I will forever be grateful for that. Thank you so much for this amazing new experience with music, and I can't wait for future original songs and content from Nate, but coming from something other than Give Heart Productions.
Your final FNAF songs. Thank you for all the cool stuff over the years!
You’ve left such a big footprint on fandom culture and helped a lot of people through a lot of things! I just hope you make your older work public again before the end.
Thanks for everything Nate, I think we all appreciate what you’ve done and keep doing for the community.
Yo Nate never misses!!! Hard to believe this is basically the end of Nate's fandom inspired music, but I also cant wait to see what comes next!!
Everyone's talking about how much they'll miss you nate but seriously tho THIS IS SO CATCHY :)
Gonna miss this I really am I always loved your FNAF songs Nate but sandcastle kingdom and paid in exposure were my favorite albums so if we gotta give up nerd core and fandom music for more like those albums I think the trades worth it. We're all getting older and need to accept the video game music can't last but originals about the maker themselves is what is bound to happen. Excited to see where this goes Nate we'll all wait as long as it takes untill your ready for a legendary return
Natewantstobattle was the person who got me into this genre of music, songs about fiction. I've loved your work for nearly seven years now, and I can say with some certainty that your music has shaped a lot of who I am since freshman high schooler me found you in my recommended. That you so much for all the work you've done. I wish you best of luck in the future, and I'll be looking forward to seeing where your journey is taking you. Thank you for always wanting to battle.
Thank you for all the good years of music you definitely deserve this. I started listening to you from the moment I heard your song called salvaged and I couldn’t stop listening to your songs since. I’ll follow the heart wherever it goes!
This song is an absolute banger. The music video is flawless and flashy. The music is emotional and energetic. And Nate’s just singing his heart out to the lyrics. Well done! Another masterpiece!
thank you so much for every single fandom related song you’ve made over the years. you’re a huge part of my childhood/life and it’s been an honor. can’t wait for what’s next. :))
I wanna thank you for all the music over the last 6 years, I can't wait to hear your other songs and see what other content you'll put out. Rock on, Nate 🤟
Thank you Nate for making this... This was alot that happened to me around this year, and your songs have meaning in every lyrical way... Thank u my friend...
You brought back some painfully harsh memories nate, but you have made some very deep impactful music you are a great musician
The nice thing about Nate's fnaf songs is that it sounds like both a fnaf song, and a "normal" song. So you can use it whatever way you want! I'm really going to miss Nate, but I know he's going to be happier this way :)
This feels like it isn’t a fnaf song but I fricken love this style of song and not to mention the song is great!
Great job man and I wish you luck in the future NWTB
This is the best thing I've heard in my 28 years of life! This song awakens some of my memories. I even tried to sing it according to the text. But I'm still bad at getting into words. But without it, this remains amazing! ⚡👏
14.09.2022.
Epic song! Bringing tears to my eyes listening to this it’s a great one man just can’t believe there’s gonna be no more fnaf songs
Nate, it was worth it. Thank you so much for playing a huge role in my teenage years.
