If you liked this video, be sure to check out this one. I took the Mustache out to the Salt Flats and flew it with my paramotor. It was INSANE! - ua-cam.com/video/6Qc9cjiTW3U/v-deo.html
Hey do you ever get infront of a storm front? There is a front that's moving right now from Colorado to the s.e. and will sweep accross Oklahoma tomorrow. They are saying 60-70 mile per hur winds. I wounder what it would be like to soar infront of a storm front like that. I've never glided but I would be down to get infront of one of these.
Do you ever take long trips at higher alts? Do you bring snacks? Dabs? If you were on a extended trip and have to pee is that manageable?
Next time you go to the point of the mountain, let me know. I’ll go fly with ya
Great watching you fly at the Point. Please talk with Chris Santcroce about the possibility construction around the South Side. We need to get the flying public involved in keeping the air clear at The Point. You doing a video would benefit a bunch.
Your videos got me to try paragliding years ago. No real desire to paramotor but free flight has been my thing for 5 years now. So glad to see you free flying.. It's the SHI*T!!
You are living my dream then. Unfortunately I'm in flat Illinois so building up a motor set up for now. Can't wait for the quiet freeflights tho!
Wow flying without the sound of a motor. It looks great.
It's insane just did my first ever glide r plane and its undescribable
@@dylansmith3022I bet it was, thanks for sharing.
You can always shut the motor off and glide to the bottom, it allows you to listen to music too
My paramotor instructor said he liked paragliding significantly more. Only reason he didn’t paraglide is because there’s no mountains in Indiana lol
It's the way to go! You can fly with birds and they don't care
Dude you're living life with all this adventures videos, keep up the great work and thank you for taking us with you
10 out of 10 content. Watched every second and thats getting more rare these days. “I didn’t Femur” - best line of this video
Love the non-motor content, keep it coming!
Same
Yeah, so tranquil.
Been following you since you had right around 5000 subs. LOVE your content. Keep living your best life Tucker! You inspire me
@@davebryant6905 I am 60 years old and ride a onewheel and dirt bike. My life is just fine Dave. How's yours?
This was so fun. Seriously the mustache on north side it’s the most fun I’ve ever had under a glider.
Even @Judson suffered spam after commenting. I wonder how many people fell for it.
Tucker asking why he hasnt been paragliding his whole life is the best thing!
I told him for years to try it.
I mean, I did some paragliding in the very beginning. Oregon coast and Costa Rica. The Mustache is different.
This looks like a variation on the steering seat gliders of the late 80's. A riser to front of seat, B to middle, C to back of seat. Lifting and lowering knees changed the angle of attack.

🔴 Islam is not just another religion.
🔵 It is the same message preached by Moses, Jesus and Abraham.
🔴 Islam literally means ‘submission to God’ and it teaches us to have a direct relationship with God.
🔵 It reminds us that since God created us, no one should be worshipped except God alone.
🔴 It also teaches that God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine.

Thank you for taking us with you in this incredible journey !!❤😍
I tell you what tucker... if your motor experience with the mustache is as good as it was with just thermal flying, then you have found the ultimate wing for both!
Cut with the potty mouth Tucker. It is not necessary, you are going to grow up some day and it will be embarrassing.
You guys make me wish I was 18 instead of 68. Had a short stint in the Civil Air Patrol and loved it. Flying in small craft is great but to do what you guys do is awesome.
I'm 72 and started 4 years ago. 350 hours now.
The most revolutionary wing ever was the Woopy jump/fly. There are some videos on UA-cam about it and it looks incredible, but the videos are old and I've never seen it for sale. For someone just looking for an easy flight and few complications...it is the way to go. The wing is incredibly light and simple. For those who are just looking for some simple flying, I thinks it's better than anything else out there. Can't imagine why it never "took off".
Exciting times for the sport! I’ve never had so much fun soaring as I’ve have on this wing.
Cool to see you focusing on more sports too mate, I look forward to following along.
Brother, your "repetition" sequence just before and after the 16:00 mark was awesome! Perfect, step off, glide, turn left and around and back to the same spot. Touch and go. Wow. You make it look so easy. (And I know it's not!)
This video made my whole day... probably my week!!! Thank you for the awesome video....
That looks like an awesome time. Some fresh air and new places can refresh the soul. Thanks for taking us along.
I love that you show us so much Paragliding now. :) cheers from Germany
Love your channel, but I got to say this was one of my favorite videos today. Absolutely loving the quiet flight. Something very serene about this. Kept thinking… what an amazing experience this must’ve been!
That Moustache is sick! Perfecting timing considering it’s almost Movember
You got me into paragliding 4 years ago and now you are in my backyard. Thanks for the videos.
Tucker, from one risk taker to another, whatever problems you're running from, don't let it fog your judgement. A premature dirt nap would be a bummer. Love and respect man.
“Who wants a Mustache ride?”
Genuinely can’t wait to see how that flies with a motor!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Here for the MOUSTACHE!
Love it Tucker. Paramotoring is really interesting to me, but cruising around without a motor looks fabulous. I have to try this out!
Last year I heard of some serious and even fatal incidents with this wing and from pilots describing surprising wing reactions out of the blue.
Always remember this kite (not a paraglider it's a kite with short lines) can't be tested LTF and is therefore banned in some countries.
For sure fun to play with, but always remember you enter the more dangerous extreme sport category like speedflying.
That camera view from your helmet when you jumped off the ledge was SICK! Love it!
Dude awesome video!! Super excited that you decided to show more of that wing!!
Even more excited to see how it handles with a motor!!!!! Seems like such a huge step forward in wing design!!
Oh and as for that question you posed to Judson, ‘how come we haven’t been doing this all out lives’… Cause although Jersey is great, it’s FLAT!! 🤣
Looks like Flysurfer bridals
Tucker shaves mustache. Then not long after ...Tucker acquires EVEN BETTER Mustache.
One of my favorite Tucker videos.
Ive never paraglided but as a surfer i fully understand your metaphor, im sure there is a similar sense of navigating that natural power. I'd love to get into paragliding one day!
Takeoff and straight into scratching ,that's an awesome wing
Whole new meaning of mustache ride
I want to get into this so badly. I can just imagine the possibility of stress relief. I think I know what I want to achieve now! Definitely set my sights on this!
Sailing. Love that Mustache concept! Want a Ride, LOL. Birds all jump to take off.
i am following you for a very long time now, and it's very cool too see your transition from beginner pilot to extreme sportsman.
My dream is to have enough money to have a paraglider/paramotor as a hobby!
Just keep working at it!! Had that same dream when I found out about the sport at 15, made it a goal, and now at 18, have a ozone MOJO pwr 2 wing and an atom 80 parajet maverick. Make your dreams your reality... :)
I flew a rogallo wing, then an original paraplane 25 years ago. Miss them both but the tech. Has gotten better and I'm only 71, solo.
Tucker ... NOBODY ... can run away from their problems, take it easy man, enjoy ... LIFE ...
...LESS RISKY...
HAVE A LONG LIFE
I think the whole idea of this trip was not to get complacent in life. Keep risking the biscuits even though it can be a little scary sometimes!!
Less risk is less life.
2:50 Pulling the toggles increases the AOA
Wow I would love to fly that wing!!! Epic dude!!
Oh. Man. This looks like the most fun thing ever.
It's all in the MUSTACHE 💪🏻
5:13 "It's hard to describe to people that don't fly anything..."
Felt attacked 😂
SOOOO glad you got the insta 360. Its amazing for taking video of helicopter water dropping missions here in cali. It's my go to.
Loving this trip ! Who ever thought you could have so much fun with a mustache!!!
11:26 he was about to say mustache ride😂
perfect video for entry into Movember! Great Job!
Tucker!!!!!!!!!!! YOU NEED to come to AZ this winter and experience Hang Gliding!!!!!!!!!!!! I will pay for your DISCOVERY FLIGHT if you show up! Sonora Wings, AZ. Let them know that I invited you and I'll pay your way!!!!!!!!! The instructor is with you until tow is done. Then you get a few tips on how to control it. Then you get to fly it until time to land. It's an AMAZING experience that you can't get from even paragliding!!!!!!!! C'mon Man!!!!!!! LOL Let's DO this!!!!!!!!! You can stay at my place while this happens also. No hotel bill!!!! I'll drive you down and help record/ document it!!!!! Much love brother!!!!!!!! Happy landings as always!!!! Call them and tell them to call me. They can give me your number and we can coordinate from there. It would make an AWSOME video. You can be Bi-Wingal then!!!!!!!!!!
I've fallen off for a bit man. Here to drop a little love. Thanks for the inspiration you've always given us dude. Keep living that amazing life.
Just found you starting with your last video. I'm close to getting my P2 and have about 30 flights here around home. It's exciting watching you re-learn something you're so good at... just in a different way. I have so much to learn its daunting. Looking forward to more content! keep it up!
Quite similar speed system most foil kites have had for last 15 years. Pulling ratios seems to be 1:3 for C line row and 1:6 for B.
Foil kites usually have 1:2 for C and 1:4 for B but also those a bit smaller ratios have been used. Bigger ratios give more effect but handles (bar) become also heavier
graet video! the mustache glider is really cool.
These videos would’ve been more appropriate last year, when you were going through that whole awkward mustache phase. 😏😝
Who wants a moustache ride? I do! I do!
This kind of speed system really has never been done before on a paraglider ? It really boggles me knowing that this system has been used on foil kites for years and no one thought of testing it on a wing.
Anyhow, as a kitesurfer, it really makes me want to try paragliding !
Tucker, what a great video. I was with you all the way - watching over your shoulder. Great to hear your reaction to this new experience. Mind you, I was a bit scared when you did the base jump, but it was incredibly exciting. Keep on keeping on. Great, Dude.
"It's like a cross between being a bird, a fighter jet, and superman" Laughs in hang glider! Looks fun though.
Am I the only one not missing the roaring a paramotor engine.. The sound of the wind is so lovely!
I surf every day and have never flown but I’d like to order a Mojo from you someday.
If I can make a comparison it’s this: skydiving is like normal surfing. Pretty long ride. Relatively safe. Lots of speed and thrill but in general pretty safe. BASE jumping seems like big wave surfing. In and out with the potential to absolutely get wrecked or die. Adds lime junkies only. Heavy consequences.
And paragliding, looks extremely close to hydrofoil surfing. Fairly low risk depending on the spot. Insane speed. And you can paddle for a wave and ride endless waves if you have the cardio.
Seeing you jump off a hill and land at the same spot, makes me fall in love with this. BASE jumping looks sketchy and scary and lots of work for a short ride. Skydiving is expensive and still a fairly short ride. But paraglide looks insane.
I just don’t have the money to buy a rig as I have other hobbies, but, if paragliding was something I could rent, I’d be all in until I could dive into my own rig.
Holy shit I used to live by thatflight park, I climbed that mountain 7 years ago
That rest area right at the base jump i seen you guys jumping :D I drive semi trucks. Thats the Echo Utah rest area west bound :D
The control lines remind me of the controls used on the vang of a small sailing boat.
"Sorry can't stop. Going paragliding, must dash!"
Old Ozone Bullet 14m had all the trim in the brakes and of course no speedbar. Look them up. They were one of the original Ozone speedwings
Tucker, I’m so glad you have learned another world. Yup, very addictive. Have fun but be careful
I saw you paragliding when I was camping up at the Upper Bells Resovoir! You were above the Lone Peak Wilderness, I was tucked just behind the peak of that tall mountain. You were guys went realllllly high up
Heheh... I'm in the opposite boat. Never flown PPG but have many many hours underwing as a Paraglider. Welcome to silent flying(ignore the wind noise).
Suddenly lm really interested in this wing!
It looks 🤩
It's basically the fusion of Speedflying and Paragliding in one wing. It's amazing. I've been Speedflying for just over 10 years, and the way wings have progressed in the years just amazes me. This wing is where it's at! Super agile!
Not quite, I would call that a mini wing. This is like a mini wing but trims/speed bar in the brakes.
Para sailing looks entirely phenomenal. The spot land fun you were having must be like a bird…. What a great adventure!!! Thanks for another great vid T!
Good shot of the hexagonal Sun Simulator in closing seconds
Great to see Tucker paragliding, I literally got into the sport because of him
@8:33 --- Did I catch a "Two Minute Papers" reference?!
Look like a kitesurf ram air kite control system to me. Flysurfer use that. it's been perfected for years.
It's nice to see that it work well for paragliding.
these things look amazing, but the inability to go hands-off would be a deal breaker, especially with motor flying and going XC. They should add stoppers to the flare system lines so you can make a setpoint like with the trims on a normal wing. that way you can set your wing AoA trim and release the brakes for long-straightline runs.
Yeah, plus most of the new wings these days have an attachment between the C’s and B’s allowing you to fly rears, trims open very similar to how the mustache works, but with normal brakes too. I’m sure the mustache is fun and allows you to do some cool stuff, but a normal wing with a good pilot can do almost all the same stuff.
Just tie some water bottles
Sounds like a brilliant concept with the whole speed and angle of attack in the brake lines.
Only downside I can see is how you will need to remain 100% hand on, and under constant tension or strain on the arms if you want to fly anything under full speed.
Looks like horses for courses, but not a great wing for last relaxed flight, but a ripper if you want to just go tare it up for a bit.
Im sure they will come out with trimmers
You don't want to fly hands off with small wings close to terrain anyway.
There is a pulley system so brake tension looks light.
@@niconico3907 umm... You don't always fly close to the ground, and I was just trying to highlight a draw back of it.
Also speed bar is a pully system, but takes a bit of force to fully engage. I am not suggesting it will require the same, more or less amount but was a consideration.
@@GeoffBuckley speedbar is quite hard because it pulls on the front lines which are more loaded than the back lines, they carry around 2/3 of the weight.
The moustache system is on the back lines.
And it is easier to pull something down than pushing something forward. The weight helps you.
The moustaches wings are small size wings not made for thermalling, but for soaring on winds going up a cliff or hills.
There are not made like normal paragliders. They have higher wing loading.
TUCKER TAKES A MUSTACHE RIDE!!
Love to see this stache fly with a motor
You go boy!!! Ya gotta take care of mental as well as physical. Looks like you got it goin on!!
I don't leave the ground but watching you pull the wing in it reminded me of pulling in a sail and feeling the wind fill it as if it were a solid object.
CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT VIDEO TUCKER!!!!!!
Oh wow, the speed in that clip of the mustache on the paramotor at the end! Looking forward to seeing that video
5:40 "Don't want to get too spicy yet"
*Proceeds to get spicy*
Seriously enjoying this channel since you grew the Mustache. Proper flying now!!
Man. I'm currently living in my Montero running to my problems. 2022 Elk / Black Bear Hunt in Washington. Fly on..
I've been doing this for years with a converted 19m² Pansh aurora. This "revolutionary " design is a standard enough depower system for power kites. Really comfortable brake pressure and good range of travel for how responsive it is.
Closed cell is super dangerous for flying
@@E620SE hard to collapse in turbulence BUT harder to inflate after collapse. I understand its a double edge sword but it worked for me while learning and ground handling.
@@cillianwilliamson16 yes, but flying a closed cell is just not necessary.
The first moustache protos (a decade ago) were also closed cell.
The final moustache is open cell and yet super solid.
You completely forgot about who ever she WAS!!!!! Keep flying high buddy!
Great stuff Tucker. You should team up with Gav McClurg for podcast content and get him to teach you about hike and fly. See how far you can get without Gas. Hope you get your head in a good place. Love it, thanks a million!
Depowerable foil kites with variable AOA have worked like this for at least 15 years.
i dont't know a lot about it but you should look up (notch peak ,Utah) it is a 2000-3000 ft tall cliff.
Love to see the Paramotor gone... Keep it up , time to step up to better things !!!
Seeing the shadows was pretty cool
Back in the early to mid 70's, hang gliding was often called "sky surfing".
that soaring with the mustache looks amazing. I will be looking into that!!
THE MUMBO JUMBO GLIDER!?!?!
Thanks for the duck noises over the cursing instead of a beep. The beeps scare the shit out of my dog; more people should use a duck quack.
