Don't forget your HAT and water! we were there at the end of Jan and it was BROILING hot! I did an excursion with the ship that took us to the National Aviary(think zoo..but all birds)..after that, I just explored Port Oasis...HUGE gift shop, there's another shop just for coffee and hung out with the anteater, monkeys, sloth and of course the very noisy parrots!
@@CruisingWithChooChoo yep, you'll get off the ship and walk through Port Oasis to get to town. if you're really lucky they will have the shuttles up and running so you don't have to make that hike.
Love you guys channels,I am able to experience the world through your videos😊, just wanted to say ally you are a pretty lady , what nationally are you, you have beautiful complexion, don't want this to sound weird just meant as a compliment, keep up the awesome videos guys 😀
Thank you for this video. We’re headed to Cartagena, on Holland America, and will do the same thing. We’re only there for a short time, 7:30AM-2:00PM, so this taxi idea is great! Will definitely ask the driver if they want to “transport” us during our brief stay. Safe travels!
Love this place. Hop on hop off is not a good idea, bus air conditioning system does not work. I like to mention two wonderful restaurants , San Nicholas for great colombian food and Casa del Socorro for outstanding sea food. Taxis are cheap, I was charge $10 dollars from the cruise port to the Old city. If you are there in the evening there is a place call Plaza Trinidad, lots of bars and street food and entertainment. Have fun.
Thank you for this awesome video with great tips. I’ll be visiting Cartagena in January 2024. Do you think it’s safe for a solo female traveler to get taxis there or walk about alone?
All that color and brightness is just makes you feel so alive and cheerful! And that food looked delicious!
Thank you for the tour and the tips! Never been to this port yet, but someday soon. We like to explore like this and get local food too.
Great video and tips. You answered a lot of our questions. Chat at the end especially helpful!

Port Oasis sounds great! Is it near the cruise port?

Excellent video
Thank you so much! Great tips for me. Did you go to the Fort? How far from the old town to the Fort? I am heading for that city next week.
Thanks for video
This was a great video. I do have a question. When re-entering the ship did you have to show passport or did the ship give you a band or something?

Looks great. Does it have handicap accessible transportation to these locations you stopped at in Cartagena?

I love seaports so much!
What ship were you on for this trip? Just looking at the background it appears to be an older ship.
what ship were you on?
Would I be able to get around if unable to speak Spanish?
I'm going to guess that Cunard is an Aquarius and Allie is a Taurus.
Do you need passport to get out the boat on Cartagena
I suggest taking it with you, so that you can get back on the boat. It is your identity.
What ship are you on? (Did you say? I might’ve missed it… whoops)
$20 usd is wild
Yes, and I hope it was for both of them, not each one, cause the old city is jot that far from Port I guess
