@@muchcreepz with the talent of mkwii modders, hopefully it'll work with CTs at some point in the future as well :]
technically it will work with cts but u would have to replace one of the original nintendo tracks. For example: download the file for baby park and have everyone in the room put the file in the my stuff folder and pick luigi circuit (assuming that's what it replaces). then BAM 50 laps on baby park lmao

I love how the fake item boxes slowly start to infest the whole track as the laps go by. Nice vid troy :)

Because I have time, here's a full list of changes from vanilla MKWii to Formula Kart Wii:
-50 Laps
-Item boxes immediately respawn
-Bananas make you spin out or slow down more, like in MK8
-Bloopers are replaced with F.I.Bs
-Red shells bounce off walls
-Ground goldens duplicate your inventory item
-You can pick up items while in a bullet bill
-Bombs only explode when anybody goes near them, so basically motion sensor bombs
-Mega Mushrooms grow you even bigger than usual
-POWs take two hits to land instead of the usual three
-All items land (if a shock happens, shocks, blue shells and even bullet bills will be dropped on the floor
-Every item is obtainable in any placement
-Mega TCs
-The final 3 digits of the timer isn't shown, due to the lap counter taking that place instead
-Invicibility frames are shortened
-Bullet bills move faster
-The five minute limit is removed

Modifications:
- 50 Laps
- Mega Mushroom is 1.5 size
- Mega Thunderclouds are enabled
- Pows are two hits instead of 3
- Picking up golden mushrooms on the ground duplicates your current item
- You can get any item in any place
- All items drop on the ground when lost
- 25 km/h Bullet Bills
- Mystery Boxes respawn instantly

Found this channel through Mayro, and I gotta say the MK gameplay here is probably the chillest and most confident I've seen of this game, even when playing wild, ridiculous challenges and it's a nice change of pace
Hoping there'll another collab with her soon? But gonna keep watching either way
30:05 gave me a good laugh man
This has been one of my favorite episodes ever because it prominently features my second favorite regular track (second only to N64 Sherbet Land) and because it is unique for Mario Kart in that it has the feel of a full-length race like you would have in a RL racing league or perhaps in a racing game like Gran Turismo. The item distribution though... I was going "What?" at some of the ridiculously bad item pulls you were getting in bad spots.
Thanks Troy for doing this and sharing it all with us every week. There's nothing quite like FlounderFest out there.

I know 'hardcore' gamers hate RNG, but I think Desert Hills is the most fun luck based track ever. You could be on the last lap and about to cross the finish line and suddenly get passed by someone shortcutting the off-road with a golden mushroom all the way back from 9th place. Just makes you always on the edge.

Troy, you should try one of your shortcut challenges with the Wii Wheel. I play mostly Wii Wheel, and I got 10 points on your beginner shortcut challenge. I also was able to pull off the Wario's Gold Mine glitch too. (Not the pipe bounce.)
This mode is the definitive Crazy Kart Wii.

I swear these 50 lap races have the item box pulls in reverse: pulling triple shrooms in the top spots, but consistent single shrooms and bananas in 9th.

That's why you should have used the second mega mushroom right away. There was really no reason to hold on to it with all the chaos behind you. That probably changed the course of the entire race. Moral of the story: don't be greedy

This mod would be even better if you scored points based off your position for each lap. That makes the individual laps actually matter. The last lap could hold the most weight if you still wanted to make the ending epic.

possibly. it would be a pretty good vehicle in the newer MK games bacause Inside Drift has been seriously nerfed and Outside drift is actually good
