Saint Lucia joins the global community to commemorate Marcus Garvey Day

Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre made a $20,000 donation to the Iyanola Council for the Advancement of Rastafari on behalf of the Government of Saint Lucia to support their programme of activities to commemorate the legacy of Marcus Mosiah Garvey.
His relentless activism and advocacy elevated black consciousness and gave rise to a global movement that echoes throughout African and Caribbean history.
