    Wow my kids grandma used to make this for me in Brooklyn back in the day and I’ll never forget this and griot and the Mac and cheese like Haitian food is one of the best in the world but legume is my favorite!!

    JUST MADE THIS!!! LITERALLY. Added okra and lima beans since I'm vegetarian. Best I'tal Haitian legume. I'm Grenadian 🇬🇩

      Lise in the kitchen thank you for the posting. The only thing is I would not use plastic to cover the legume (vegetable stew) it is too toxic pretty much the heat will release all those toxins to your food. Aside from that good job good job keep it up

    I think I could cook it, love légumes especially with ribs, stew beef and my ex husband puts also smoked meat, omg, the smell and taste of his légumes are incredible, my mouth us watering. To ME the smoked meat makes it so much tastier cause that's the only way i eat vegetables 😄. And Lise's way makes it so much easier for me. Thank you 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷

    I first off thanks for your videos I love them and haitian food, however i have everything but stores near me and i traveled about 30 mins away and can't find the choyote can I and have you every had it without it ?

      Yes absolutely. You can just add more eggplants. In fact most people prefer it that way.

      Hello 👋🏾. I did it the opposite. I browned it after. So basically I let the water dry and let the meat get some color. Hope this helps.

      Ehh it varies. Legume can get expensive. I like you don’t know how to eat crabs 😂😂😂 I just know how to cook them cause my husband loves crabs. But I would say a good 50$ should buy everything

    I’ve never heard of this dish! Looks like it’s not are with lots of love! And I’ve never seen the Saran Wrap method! I’ll have to try that in the future!!!
