    no inner cam bearing/no O-ring change? while you where in the cam chest cheap insurance and peace of mind.did like the 1/2" extension for the sprocket holder idea

    You didn't replace the O-rings?!?!? If it were me, if the cam bearings were stock I'd replaced them. Also not a bad time to upgrade the cam and/or oil pump.

      It already had an overhaul inside cams o rings etc not to long ago at all. I gave them a good check before reninstalling for this video and and they were in good condition.

    Hi. How many miles does this bike have? How long before we replace the tensioners? I'm Russian

      @@AVIATOR86 it all depends on mileage some people go in around 20k and find them in a bad way others have opened the camchest up at 35k and found them ok. I think this video it was 30 35k. Its a must on a Harley to check them and while your in there change them our for peice of mind

  • @eb1941
    @eb1941 Рік тому +1

    Thanks for posting. I thought 20k miles was for spring loaded tensioners and hydraulic would go a lot longer.

    • @Teamloco1853
      @Teamloco1853  Рік тому +1

      Ive heard stories of some being checked at 30k and still look fresh then some at 15 20k in real bad shape , thats both spring and hydraulic .Maybe riding styles and performsnce modifications play a major factor in it. Its a must to get in and check could be catastrophic if one gives out. Thanks for watching ride safe.

      @@Teamloco1853 Never seen the Hydraulics worn out early, think the issues were really with early TC's 2004-2006, I have a special tool for the sprung inner to change it out.

      Heard harley upgraded the material on these hence why i put them in. I always keep an eye on them just an habit. If i see any premature wear they will be swapped out for S&S or Feulin

      No the run out on this is 00.2 check my short videos and you will see the run out check.. its just crazy expensive over here to import a new cam chest kit would have been looking around £2k for the s&s.. its on the bucket list for maybe in the near future.

      WTF are you talking about? Did you mean back instead of black? You do know that what you're hearing is called another country, and not a back country? Don't embarrass the Harley Davidson crowd, please. We have enough shit to attend to in this fucked up country. The dude is Irish, Wales or one of those countries. Back country 😭

      @@Teamloco1853this guy is obviously a little slow. WTF is he talking about? He misspelled back and said black. I don't know why he wouldn't edit that shit? Where you from brother? I know where you live, but what country is the accent? Thanks for the video. I wanted to know how many miles were on those "shoes"?

      @dki8 Рік тому

      You weren't "in there". You opened it up to change them. You left out the MOST IMPORTANT element! HOW MANY MILES WERE ON THE SHOES?? How could you not think that would be important on a maintenance part, as you seem to think this is? I know guys with 75,000 and the shoes are still good! How bout talking about synthetic oils that prolong these shoes more than conventional oil? Com'on mate. If your gonna do videos let's hear some information, not just FEAR ! Are you afraid all the time that your Harley Davidson motorcycle is going to break?? 🤣😭. Way too much fear in this community. Those shoes looked okay to me. The oil was pretty black. Mileage needs to be spoken here ! You talk about mileage, but you don't tell us the miles on the shoes. WTF man! If this shit is so important, and your such a great owner, how can you NOT tell us about the fuckin miles on those shoes? Too many fuckin cell phone cameras in this world. Don't get to wordie in your descriptions. Your accent gets to heavy to understand. Represent Brother ! Year of bike? Model of Harley? AND HOW MANY MILES???

      Hi, I have a 07 Twin Cam 96"A and I just replaced the cam tensioner shoes with Cyco Gasket Company upgraded shoes. $12 for a pair of shoes. My bike had 117,000 miles & they needed replacing. They might of lasted another 10,000 miles. Do you know how the new Harley Davidson "C" tappets go oriented on a Twin Cam? The holes on the new Harley "C" tappets either go facing to the front or rear of the bike. I am not sure if the new "C" tappets hole go facing the gallery in the tappet bore (rear "C" tappet hole face to the rear & front "C" tappet hole facing foward). Any help would be appreciated.

    Such a waste, if you really want piece of mind as you stated, why would you change out that cast cam plate and oil pump? One of my Harley's is a 2009 Rocker C, im going to change it all and get the entire fueling 525 torque cam kit which includes everything, i have no interest in going in just to change the tensioners

    • @Teamloco1853
      @Teamloco1853  Рік тому +1

      Theres nothing wrong with the cam plate or oil pump im running it works. Its not hard for me to go back in there Down the road if i change to gear drive then i will change them but here in the UK its a hell of a lot of money for the S&S plate and pump or the feuling.
      Peice of mind for me was changing the tensioners so i know at 35kthey are new and replaced.

      I guess my 2002 at 11000 miles will be ok a lot longer.on my 4th Harley ( and last ) since 1989.
      But will check them in any case.
      Good info.
