One thing: Instead of fiddling around with tape, I used the miniature rubber ring from the original lens cover. It’s hard to see, but worth it, since it helps with water resistance.

Ok then folks follow video to letter was carful putting screen back on and now won’t turn on and home button warm. Any ideas. Took screen off again can’t see a fault

It sounds like some damage was done to possible the home button flex cable or connector
Try it with only one of the LCD cable connected

for this repair i used the following
Iphone 7 Screw Driver (3 sided shape) *to undo the internal screw on the lcd cover brackets*
Iphone Opening tool *to slide around the phone to lift the screen*
Iphone Pentagram screw driver *undo the 2 screws at the bottom of the phone
Phillips head screw driver *to undo some internal screws
Plyers *to pull the metal bracket around the camera lens out and then to push the metal ring out from the inside
Heat Pad *to soften the adhesive around the screen
1mm Thick Double Sided Tape *stick new lens in
Replacement lens with ring
