Hoshina sometimes has little fangs when he’s being impish in the manga.
Also, the soldiers’ unleashed combat potential determines how much power they can get out of their weapons. Kikoru’s shots do more damage because she’s able to pull more power out of her suit, which is where her gun gets power from.
The mangaka said he wanted to draw a "foxy-faced" character. Which is classic in Japan mythology as a synonym for "clever, devilish, gremlin."
Also for anyone else, I don't think it's a spoiler or anything but the guns shoot special rounds that are powered up like their suits from their combat potential. You'll see in a few eps.
Mina is 27 folks, she is 5 years Kafka’s junior, which makes it a bigger burn for Kafka not being able to catch up.
lol i feel like marketa and rena are just attracted to the dude so they expected him to sound different but they completely ignore how troll he is in the series so why would he have some deep suave voice. hes the exact opposite of someone like Levi
You have no idea how empty my days were while waiting for your reactions for kaiju no. 8... But it is so satisfying that you've done 2 episodes at once....
(Anime only) I've a theory that their battlesuits being made of organic kaiju matter could potentially backfire in the future for one reason or another, maybe falling under control or being rendered useless by future sentient kaijus, leaving only Kafka able to actually fight as his kaiju form remains unhindered.
Especially since No 9 can manipulated dead Kaiju... and the suits are made from dead Kaiju...
Crunchy roll has subtitles on english dubs now, it just turns off between episodes sometimes.

Godzilla is goated, even gamera would solo them all. Neva read the manga, but I love the anime. Would be awesome to see an Easter egg about them, cause there would be no kaiju no. 8 without the ogs to inspire.

They said "One of the strongest" not "the strongest". There's a difference. It implies there may be stronger kaiju on record.
Think of the danger numbers like earthquakes.
For a 2-3 on the Richter Scale, people can barely feel it.
A 5 is considered light with some property damage at the epicenter.
A 7 is considered a strong earthquake with $Bs in property damage and loss of life.
A 9.0 is a once in 300 year quake with catastrophic building damage and mass loss of life.
A 10.0 is a once in 1,000 year quake that has never been measured since the study of seismology began as a science

So far, the anime has such a perfect balance of action and humor. The parts that are cool are really cool, and the parts that are funny are REALLY freaking funny. 🤣🤣
If it can land the emotional moments later on (yes, those exist, this series isn't all flash), then I'll consider this anime to be a rousing success! Maybe even Anime of the Year material.

Yes, they absolutely did notice the other kaiju, his level was in the 6’s, but like Kafka they weren’t able to pin down which creature made what level of energy.
I find it interesting that the combat suit is kind of a Black Carapace lite. I don't know who may get this reference though.
I think the problem is in the manga the shots on the vice commander are close ups that make him seem bigger

No, I think there is less then 5 years differense. Kafka doesn't look that much older in flashbacks :v it said on tv Mina became captain at 27 years, not that she is that age now, it'd make sense she been captain for awhile and has reputation by now.
