This game is fing amazing yes there is bugs and glitches but when we put up with the shenanigans of red dead redemption 2 that still exist to this day and at least cdpr address the problem and the will try to fix them unlike rockstar I am fortunate to not have a lot of the issues others have and I'm on xbox one but under all those bugs and glitches is an amazing game

Im playing on PS4 and I'm loving this game!! Ive had small glitches here and there but nothing that takes me out of the game. Now it has crashed twice on me but only after I played if for more than 4 hours and after the last update I haven't had any crashes since. All in all I'm either really lucky to have a solid PS4 OR people are overreacting to the flaws of the game because Fallout 74 is by far worse has CP77 on release.
I second that. I'm glad I went "dark" to play this game for the first ten days. I wanted to play through with no help, or spoilers. The gaming community as a whole becomes more toxic with every release. Granted their are plenty of things to be critical of, especially with the way the game was touted though.
The cat is not just a cat. It pops up all over the game in several different locations. There is a part in the main storyline where it appears. But it can be found outside of Vic's and next to some hidden locations.

Just as a tip, they changed the method to do this in 2.0. Now you have to buy the cat food at a shop. (Also, the note was changed.) I was able to find it at the food shop at the Kabuki Market fast travel point (same area where you get the Daemon t-bug sent you at the start of the game) but it might be able to be found elsewhere as well.
If I'm not mistake, that's the exact same type of cat that appeared when Johnny was knocked out and Alt was taken , as well as appearing in a small scene with Takemura where he mentions it being a spirit of death/bad luck

Real animals are extremely rare in this type of setting. Read "Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep" and you will know what I mean, it's one of the OG influences in Cyberpunk.

actually the cat food is there because during a mission we have to infiltrate that place, but while we wait for the moment to infiltrate, just this cat appears.
In case anyone has literally just reached Act 2 and is wondering why it is not spawning, you MUST complete Playing for Time in order for the dish and message shard to appear. Hope this helps anyone wondering/or given up hope!

Direct reference to when neo first saw the same cat twice on his first mission into the matrix. Love the Easter eggs in this game.
The bowl was there for one character, but not another. The one it was there for had stopped to pet the cat outside Vik's. Dunno if they are related, or there is some other factor, but it's definitely not always there.

You want cat food in bulk? The trailer park food vender sells it 6 at a time. I looked for the cat food in Arasaka's Industrial Park where you suggested, all that was there was a lottery card.

Tip for you guys who sold the cat food before knowing about this, you can loot cat food, too. I've found it to be a rather rare item drop in Pacifica near the ripper dock area. Thing is, I'm not sure which enemies drop it, either the Voodoo Boys, the Animals, or the Scavs. Just keep killing until you get it. I got two packages after about 2-3 hours of just murdering the natives of Pacifica, so happy hunting. Haven't found any food vendors that sell it, unfortunately, though I haven't searched the food vendors exhaustively. I should also note I killed some Arasaka agents on one of the apartment roof tops by the Pacifica ripper dock, so maybe Arasaka agents drop cat food? Sounds weird, but then again, there's cat food at that Arasaka facility, sooo...
Wish I hadnt overlooked that bowl forever. I had tons of cat food stacks. Love that Johnny is so in awe. Brings you back to when hes telling you how theyre all gone when youre talking with Goro up in the highrise construction site. Goro tells you they were believed to be ghosts.
Be sure to check your inventory before you go out looking for catfood, I had 4 in mine so it might save you a trip and you can just go right to the bowl
ALTERNATE LOCATION Cat food can be found in the Aldecaldo's camp in a white box under the raised mobile structure, under a set of stairs that has the Ripperdoc. If its not the one with the ripper doc, look for a raised mobile structure and the box will be under the stairs. I have found it both times, upon my first arrival there while following Panam. There are other places but this is by far the easiest, and yea you do not need to read about the cat prior to getting food.

I’m so happy. I knew about this location and stuff but when I first started my current play through I was getting food left and right. And I was selling it. Man I was stupid. I noticed that I got it less and less but I just randomly found some on some mad lads in the street and now I can get the cat in game. I’m so happy
They spend time getting the npc's to play guitars just right, but they didn't spend time fixing the vehicle lod popping in and out before launch. Just an example of weird priorities.
I wish I remembered where i saw it, but a lot of vendors also sell cat food. I kept seeing it pop up from food vendors in the area, and I thought it was weird because why would we eat cat food lol. Makes sense now!
The rooms with the robots are usually pretty funny - found another with a bunch sitting at a table playing cards and smoking. Off the top of my head - I believe it was the hotel where "cheeta" is staying.
Let me add 2 locations where to get catfood besides the arasaka factory. 1: During "the Hunt" quest where you have to locate the nephew of River Ward, youll find catfood in the trailer while searching for evidence, its on one of the tables/desks. 2. During the gig "psychofan" youll have to klep a guitar at Kerry Eurodyne's appartment. The catfood will be on one of the tables here to.
If anyone is wondering you can get more cat food located at the vendor you help 'A Day in the Life' side job located at the the bottom of Santo Domingo, next to Megabuilding 4. You might be able to get it at other food vendors but this is the one I know for sure.
In all seriousness, I love the dev room. I don’t think the majority of people actually understand how hard it is to work for a video game company. QA testers and Devs always get the shit end of the stick in many ways but the main one is when you have “crunch time”. Working 6-7 days a week, if you’re night shift like I was than you’re working 610pm-545am(sometimes until 630am). You have no time to be an adult like go to the bank, I didn’t even have time for my poor dog. You have all this money but no time to actually spend it. That’s why I feel so bad for the DEVs. I’ve learned how to play and deal with glitchy games, and even though cyberpunk has its problems I think it’s still an amazing game and I just hope CD Projekt Red knows how many people have actually stuck by them during the launch and the horrible things said about this game. Personally, I think it’s amazing.
That's where I got the cat food too. I'd started the cat thing, but hadn't got the food at arasaka, then got it in this side mission which reminded me.
Fun fact: The song that Johnny was playing on his guitar is actually the song from the Witcher 3's Blood and Wine DLC called "Beast of Beauclair". It's Blood and Wine's main theme and it also plays during the final boss fight. Pretty sure all the guitarists play it but the easiest one to find would be in the nomad camp. your videos have been very helpful. Thank you!
Besides the "love and fire glitch" I haven't had to many problems on the PS4. I have had to restart my nomad play through 3 times because of said glitch but other than that no problems.
I was wondering, if the cat has a deeper meaning, because the 1st time you see it, is in front of Viktor's practice after V catches a virus from connecting to Sandra Dorsett, when he/she and Jacky save her, and later there's the conversation with Goro about ghosts and stuff.
I'm at 98 hours in my current playthrough, and I have kept a single package of cat food in my backpack just about the entire playthrough on the off chance I'd be able to feed a cat, now I feel like an idiot because I had it on me when I grabbed that shard, but I didn't even read it or stick around to notice the option. Thank you for making this video, now I can get to the end of the game without cat food in my backpack and have Nibbles the Bakeneko to keep me company along the way.

I haven’t seen too much hate on the Pc version besides the stiff combat. It’s mainly been about last gen models which is all justified. Absolutely the worst launch I’ve ever seen for a VG.

Interesting thing I noticed once, when you meet with Goro the second time, near the docks, as your waiting for Oda there is a cat on the car in the shadows. I couldn't get close to it and it disappeared after the meeting.
Most of the NPCs were motion captured for dialog scenes, that's why they all look very real with little ticks like a nervous shaky foot or proper fretting.

The cat shows up in many missions. Including multiple sightings in the last mission you'll see it everywhere
You can pet it after getting your first implants from vik once you exit the building.

They spend time getting the npc's to play guitars just right, but they didn't spend time fixing the vehicle lod popping in and out before launch. Just an example of weird priorities.

I wish I remembered where i saw it, but a lot of vendors also sell cat food. I kept seeing it pop up from food vendors in the area, and I thought it was weird because why would we eat cat food lol. Makes sense now!
There is also cat food in randy's trailer as part of the river ward questline in randy's bedroom
The rooms with the robots are usually pretty funny - found another with a bunch sitting at a table playing cards and smoking. Off the top of my head - I believe it was the hotel where "cheeta" is staying.
Lovely game, I'm pretty sure that most negative things will be fixed as soon as possible.
I wish there were more animals in Cyberpunk, imagine having some badass cyber dog companion that fires rockets from its mouth or has laser eyes

Let me add 2 locations where to get catfood besides the arasaka factory.
1: During "the Hunt" quest where you have to locate the nephew of River Ward, youll find catfood in the trailer while searching for evidence, its on one of the tables/desks.
2. During the gig "psychofan" youll have to klep a guitar at Kerry Eurodyne's appartment. The catfood will be on one of the tables here to.

If anyone is wondering you can get more cat food located at the vendor you help 'A Day in the Life' side job located at the the bottom of Santo Domingo, next to Megabuilding 4. You might be able to get it at other food vendors but this is the one I know for sure.

In all seriousness, I love the dev room. I don’t think the majority of people actually understand how hard it is to work for a video game company. QA testers and Devs always get the shit end of the stick in many ways but the main one is when you have “crunch time”. Working 6-7 days a week, if you’re night shift like I was than you’re working 610pm-545am(sometimes until 630am). You have no time to be an adult like go to the bank, I didn’t even have time for my poor dog. You have all this money but no time to actually spend it. That’s why I feel so bad for the DEVs. I’ve learned how to play and deal with glitchy games, and even though cyberpunk has its problems I think it’s still an amazing game and I just hope CD Projekt Red knows how many people have actually stuck by them during the launch and the horrible things said about this game. Personally, I think it’s amazing.

That's where I got the cat food too. I'd started the cat thing, but hadn't got the food at arasaka, then got it in this side mission which reminded me.

Fun fact: The song that Johnny was playing on his guitar is actually the song from the Witcher 3's Blood and Wine DLC called "Beast of Beauclair". It's Blood and Wine's main theme and it also plays during the final boss fight. Pretty sure all the guitarists play it but the easiest one to find would be in the nomad camp.

Besides the "love and fire glitch" I haven't had to many problems on the PS4. I have had to restart my nomad play through 3 times because of said glitch but other than that no problems.

I'm at 98 hours in my current playthrough, and I have kept a single package of cat food in my backpack just about the entire playthrough on the off chance I'd be able to feed a cat, now I feel like an idiot because I had it on me when I grabbed that shard, but I didn't even read it or stick around to notice the option.
Thank you for making this video, now I can get to the end of the game without cat food in my backpack and have Nibbles the Bakeneko to keep me company along the way.

I unsubscribed from juicehead because of this. When you compare his Fallout 76 coverage to Cyberpunk 2077... it was the straw that broke the back already weakened by vids about mods that will get you to play fallout 4 again, but are largely just gun mods...

I haven’t seen too much hate on the Pc version besides the stiff combat. It’s mainly been about last gen models which is all justified. Absolutely the worst launch I’ve ever seen for a VG.

@@eljefe308 I have seen people complain alot on youtube about the PC version. Also seen several people call youtubers alot of stuff because they play it. The last gen critic is justified for sure.
There are two others I've seen, one in a motel where you help Cheetah and need 20 Body to open. Another is a door near the Arasaka tower that has a "memorial" with all of the dev team names in it.

I have pc no cat can't figure it out.... Game crashes so much I stopped playing hopefully this supposed patch the 21st ish fixes these crashes also took me 14 hrs game play on steam till I beat the first mission the heist.... Sad a unfinished game is sold as a AAA title

Keanu Reeves used to have a band, they weren’t the greatest but they toured and he played guitar and sang. I expect they used him for the model playing and he might even be playing the tracks ingame.
Interesting thing I noticed once, when you meet with Goro the second time, near the docks, as your waiting for Oda there is a cat on the car in the shadows. I couldn't get close to it and it disappeared after the meeting.
Most of the NPCs were motion captured for dialog scenes, that's why they all look very real with little ticks like a nervous shaky foot or proper fretting.
