@@eXoTicAllYY Well, yes, I’m not exactly stupid…but thanks for asking.
So how long do you believe murder cases should be investigated?? If one of YOUR family members were done this way, would you be okay not knowing who did it? Would you be okay if the investigator said, “Hey! Sorry but he won’t admit to it.”
And drop it? I’m guessing not. But DNA sure has come a long way since the 80’s & has been the proof prosecuting attorneys ALL over the world have been using to put murderers in prison…ESPECIALLY ON COLD CASES. I’ve never murdered anyone myself so I’m all for it! YaY!

@@pameversole5886 for starters. This is LIFE thank you very much. Do you really expect the authorities to keep searching for a missing person for the reast of there lives. Thats not how it works. Second. They have OTHER cases to do and other calls to attened to. how long should I believe a case to go on for? UNTILL THEY HAVE A LEAD OR A PERSON TO QUESTION. theres no point in searching for someone if theres no information or clues to there disappearance. This is how life gose. @janicesullivan8942, Trenny’s dad was not on the field trip. It was just the teacher. Things were very different in the 1970’s, they weren’t what we see today. Does each state in the United States have their own criminal laws?
I’m asking because it seems to vary so greatly. I’m only guessing that it could have something to do also with the local law enforcement but, for example, the last case, where there is a history of controlling behaviour, proposed separation etc and then the spouse is found dead….I’ve watched other cases where they have absolutely no evidence and the husband has an alibi and yet he still is charged with murder.
I’ve seen cases where they make up a story blaming someone for a death and then 10 years later DNA sets that person free.
I’m just saying that it’s strange that they didn’t even seem to look at her husband or not enough to be interesting for inclusion here.
They look at the spouse for a reason and that’s because it usually is them directly or indirectly.
I don’t know these folks but I feel badly that they are not having time with their daughter’s children, their grandchildren. That’s just selfish and mean…..controlling even. So sad, just so very sad 😞

I respectfully disagree. If a suspect is brought to trial, it's extremely likely that the jury will not convict with no body. If I'm on a jury, unless they have a picture of the defendant holding a knife over the victim's dead body, I'm not convicting with no body. There have been too many cases where someone was wrongfully suspected, or even convicted, when someone disappeared, and it turned out they were alive. Don't get me wrong, I agree that Tyler is blatantly guilty, but it has to be beyond a reasonable doubt. If they bring him to trial and he's found not guilty, then later evidence turns up, he can't be tried again. It's not worth the risk.

They are too afraid to speak up, don’t want to get involved, they think what they know is so small it doesn’t matter. I don’t know what else. A fugue state for John is extremely unlikely. Long term amnesia requires major disruptions in brain function. Fugue state is a temporary psychosis that lasts for hours at most and, again, is usually caused by trauma.

    • @mesmartgnome
      @mesmartgnome 2 роки тому +1

@@redred222 those are very extreme cases of psychosis with a very major traumatic event involved. That level is not likely (while probable) to happen just based on the stress he was under (as described) and no sleep with no history of mental illness. I wouldn’t argue with a temporary case but, long term is extremely unlikely. IMHO I think somebody wanted his cut of the money or they thought he’d quagmire the deal with SEC investigators.

After the murder of a spouse, it always strikes me as extremely suspicious when the surviving parent (particularly when they are a person of interest or abusive/controlling) immediately cuts off all contact with the grandparents and/or the extended family of the victim. It's a very callous and cruel act...like pouring salt in an open wound. To me, it speaks to their temperament, lack of character and their propensity for inflicting pain needlessly.

I’m curious if in Tremmy’s case if the police found good enough reasons to do DNA on those cigarettes butts and beer can found where she left the trail, it would be interesting to see who they belonged too, I think it was a classmate who got her attention and called her over ?

How far could a student got her off trail and back to the bus when they were heading back. She would have been found if that was the case. I have been on the trail. Whoever snatched her took her far away

Back in that time there was predators lurking the park that would literally snatch people off the trails in the Smoky mountains. Dennis Martin, Trenny Gibson, Polly Melton. All disappeared in the smokies and apparently snatched. All within 12 years or so. Others have gone missing in there as well.

We live in a sick, cruel world where abusive bitches and assholes are overly fertile, populating the world with children who will suffer and propagate the same problems down generational lines. Or such a couple will divorce and the custodial spouse will remarry, to someone who abuses the children. THIS, while truly loving, kind, warm, generous people who desperately want children end up infertile, by some sadistic twist of the universe, and suffer in different undeserved ways in the name of bearing or acquiring children. Then many times, their desire remains unfulfilled or they adopt a child whose lineal psychological problems or outright sociopathy are not divulged, leading to pain, heartache or tragedy. This has happened in my extended family and I've seen years of it firsthand. F*** it all.

They find the family in another state, the little girl is not with them amymore. That is? Thanks for your collaboration? Keep living your life? This is ridiculous bad police work.

I have NO doubt that Mook's parents assisted their "golden boy" in disposing of the body. Hopefully, the brother has a second crisis of conscience and will be compelled to reveal information on where to locate the remains. We true crime aficionados know well how tempers flare and emotions run wild with custody issues and in-laws. Mook seems to belong to a clan that protect their own, at all costs. Tyler appears to have been the highly favored son. That seems to be the ONLY reason I can determine to explain his brother's extraordinary decision to take the honorable step of testifying against Tyler. In a family that closes ranks to keep criminal acts secret, that's unheard of! I can only imagine the disdain he has endured by his "family." They probably now refer to him as"Fredo."

You could bet that our teacher made us STAY TOGETHER and were with us the WHOLE TIME and NEVER TOOK THEIR EYES OFF THEIR STUDENTS!! The only surprise was and it wasn't a surprise, that if you gave your teachers any problem that when you got home, YOU GOT THAT ASS BEAT and more than likely you got a ASS WHIPPING by your teacher before you LEFT SCHOOL. I am convinced that Trenny Lynn Gibson was one of serial killer Gary Hilton's first victims. I looked into that case for several years and the way that Trenny was taken near other people, and then taken around the lookout on top of Clingman's Dome, then to a place near Indian Gap where they waited for hours before leaving is amost identical to the way he took Meredith Emerson are nearly identical.

All of these were compelling stories.
It seems very likely that Shelley was in her burning car, and also most likely was killed by Monk. I think he had already killed her, when he brought their daughter in from the car.
In John Cheek's case, one's got to figure that whatever he did, he wasn't in his right mind. It seems highy unlikely that he is still alive, sadly.
