    When you work with GraphQL apis, it becomes easy to write expressive optimistic queries from the frontend. If you missed the first half of this lesson you can watch it out here: ua-cam.com/video/8D9XnnjFGMs/v-deo.html

    Probably the best video I've watched on anything technical. Most videos spend way too much time talking. Just show me code quickly! Thanks

      Yeah, this one took me a little longer than I expected, but Apollo Angular is pretty awesome.

    What's your strategy for dealing with nested mutations in angular? I can't find any resources for it. :(

    npx apollo-codegen generate **/*.ts --schema ./types/schema.json --target typescript --output ./types/operation-result-types.ts
    Cannot use GraphQLSchema "[object GraphQLSchema]" from another module or realm.
    How to fix that? apollo-angular-boost": "^1.4.0", "graphql": "^14.1.1"

      Did you fix it ?

      Apollo-codegen may use a different version of graphql, the project graphql version, and the apollo-codegen's graphql versions should match

    How would one test with Apollo exactly? Been looking around but I can't really find anything concrete.

    • @Fireship
      @Fireship  6 років тому +1

      It depends on the type of testing. For end to end I would use Cypress.io, but for unit tests you may have to do a lot of mocking/stubbing to test things in isolation.

      I recently released a version that has testing utils. Try `apollo-angular/testing`. It has the same interface as HttpTestingController of Angular.
      There's a nice article about it on medium.
