  • Judd is back with Stephen for another episode, but this time he's giving his very own Cue Tip! Judd shows off his incredible long potting and cue power by demonstrating his ridiculous screw-back long pot. Stephen can't quite believe his eyes! Judd even puts on the Cue Cam to give you all his perspective for this shot. After that, Judd takes on the Tough Table Challenge, can he beat Stephen or Mark Williams? You'll have to watch until the end to find out! Do keep sending in your Tough Table Challenge attempts on UA-cam, Instagram or Twitter. We've seen a few of you out there having a go already, so thanks so much for getting involved, we'll hopefully feature these soon!

    Watching him knock in those first two deep-screw long reds was incredible. Anyone who plays snooker will understand how obscenely difficult it is to knock in a ball so far away, even plain ball - but to screw back to baulk? I doubt any other player in the world could do that 2 for 2 first try. Even Ronnie.
    Truly a remarkable player and clearly has much more to offer.

    • @johnwedgbury6817
      @johnwedgbury6817 Рік тому +4

      Yeah Ronnie's a serial winner. The flashy shots are great to watch, but making every shot easier by having the white on a string is more impressive. Plus playing for the black in that situation is a more likely way to win matches. Hes incredibly talented and can play shots nobody else in the game can. But a great? Not really. 3 majors? His talent deserves more, but his style, ego, showmanship, whatever it is doesn't allow him to be a great. Before anyone says 'what have I won'? The answers nothing, but with judds talent I would have won more than 1 world title.

      It becomes easy once you do it. The first time I screwed back from distance, I couldn't believe I did that. 😂. The tip of the cue was also a factor in the shot along with the cloth and especially the timing. You have to dig through the cue ball while pushing it forward. Power is less of a factor here.

      Honestly no idea. Been following snooker for a while and don’t get the hate for Selby and Trump. Selby gets haters because he plays slower than Ronnie, and Trump gets hate because he is less expressive than Ronnie. Everyone is less ‘something’ than Ronnie and cops hate for it. Specifically, Trump is a frighteningly exciting player who has, over the last few years, begun to rein in his cowboyishness on the table, which has led to better results. His recent form hasn’t been great but that’s nothing more than a loss of form that every athlete goes through.

    The most interesting thing about snooker greats/legends is they are genuine geniuses at the game.
    At their peak they all have abilities far above the norm and to a man like Stephen Hendry having a talent like Trump to screw back from two thirds of the table without effort was something he truly admired, yet Hendry's abilities on the snooker table was equally important and impact-full, his ruthlessness, fearlessness and ability to pot long balls and get a sizeable break under the most stressful situations made him the most dominate force over a decade, when the class of 92 were at their most fearless aswell, tells you the character of the man.
    What's a pity is that these legends all start with that fearlessness and end up with baggage that influences their game, it reduces motivation and makes the game less fun, the class of 92 had each other to create longevity, but each have suffered from this issue, but have played through it.

    • @toziassmitt
      @toziassmitt Рік тому +2

      In my opinion Hendrys brilliance was, in large part, mental. Almost all the top players can make shots, as you said, it’s that drive to take the shots on- in Hendrys case his attacking play, his ethos of always taking on the long red to always put pressure on his opponent. It was never an easy day at the office playing against Hendry, and that invisible stress and pressure is what won him world championships

      Not true! @@Wayne-qz5no Hendry was done at 30 due to a multitude of reason, least of all being he lost the cue he’d been playing with since he was 14. Then factor in that just a few years before that he had extreme marital problems that led to his divorce just 2 years after he retired, and was in financial disrepair. It really is quite immature silliness to come on here and talk with so little knowledge of the actual facts. It's funny, but I'd bet Judd felt more pressure here, than he does playing a regular match. Really enjoying these videos Stephen. ✌️🇦🇺

    Glad he explained why he always seem to hit the cue ball harder most times than others when there it doesn’t seem he had to.

    My two favorite players. Mr. Hendry in the 1993 WSC final and Mr. Trump in the 2019 WSC final were unbeatable. The two greatest performances in snooker of all time.
