My choice of cords that I prefer for my lashings

I use a lot of these flat 0.8mm waxed leather sewing cords of various colours. A lot of cord on each roll so very economical. The large range of colours allow me to either work with just one colour or mix and match various number of stands of different colours in a braiding.
I normally work with 6 strands of 1.2m long then use them in 3 pairs of 2 stands to do a three plait.
For plain black and with a shinny look I use this 1.0mm Waxed Korean cord which can be bought in long rolls and is also very economical. As it is a larger size I normally only use 3 strands of 1.2mm long and do a three plait.
