Looking at this and realizing that the time this castle was built was about the same time as The Three Musketeers books were set (the reigns of Kings Louis XIII and XIV of France ) -- amazing how much history there is in different parts of the world.
Hikonyan is wonderful and sooo cute ! He makes me feels happy and warm and I forget about the harsh feudal system, ritual suicides and battles between crazed blood thirsty samurai.
