It is very pathetic if autistic children are born in a middle class and poor families. I'm one among such family. Kids those have eye contact and attention never delays in speech. Speech delay and autism are linked with each other. In 1990's term was speech delay now it is autism because of huge lifestyle changes. Kids are lacking in eye contact because they are busy on screens parents are busy on screen. Socialisation means chatting on phone. Kids are hyperactive because today's diet is totally different from their parents's in 90's.If elders say a child is speech delayed because his mom Or dad was delayed they have a point. We have to research it carefully. To change a child first we have to change the entire system in which he is growing.

My son is 14 years old and he has autism .he is currently taking some medicines .But in the last 6 months he has become very aggressive. He used to hit self and hit other. I have also been getting OT from him for the last 6 years. The doctor said that he is taking medicine in heavy doses, hence he is being aggressive. The therapist says that this happens because he is in his teenage period. My son has a speech. He does everything I tell him to do. He also helps me in all the household chores. But I am not able to control his aggressive nature. Plz 🙏🙏🙏🙏help me how can I calm down his anger at home.

Hi mam...my child is 6 yrs old..he is not hyper active...but he has some sensory issues and speech delay also...we approached many doctor s and many therapy centrs since 3 yrs...but improvement is very little...and doctors said he is a slow learner...now we stopped therapies also because of financial issues...now he is going to normal schl and studying nursery...he speaks very few words like Amma nanna and some bi syllable words only...now my question is which is useful for him special school r normal schl?he is going to normal schl since last year .and dat to just for social interaction with kids..plz reply mam
Special schools are costly, therapies are guidance by the professionals so you can take home plans and work accordingly.
