I have the Omnilux Mask and a NUFace, and I love them both. After investing in these devices, I'll stick with them until one of them wears out. I simply can't afford to try every new and greatest treatment. I love your content, and appreciate your suggestions!
Same here. Sadly, though, I can't make the investment for the Omnilux - wish I could. I have several other devices and besides the cost, I work full time and there are only so many hours in a day.
I just purchased the ZIIP - strangely enough my daughter and I were discussing saggy skin and me especially the jaw line. I never used any of this type of item before only have used a Omnilux mask for 3 years. Hope it helps even if only a little ( a lot would be better, but I will take anything at this point)

Does the Omnilux fit your facial features? I have a petite face and when I put the mask on so my eyes are where the mask has them it causes my chin to be exposed at the hole where the mouth should be. So what I usually do is to raise the mask so the eye holes are over my eyebrows which allows my mouth to be in the correct position. I know you have a petite face, too, and am wondering if you have similar issues with the mask features, and how you deal with them?
I personally rinse it off. And follow with my cleanse. But the gels are moisturizing enough to leave on, though I haven’t tried it. Maybe if you do it at night after your cleanse you could leave the gel on.
Curious to try the City Lips Gloss but would love more detail on fragrance / plumping - is it minty or heavily fragranced? how intense is the tingling/stinging sensation for you?
Strangely there is no tingly sensation...as far as the fragrance, I don't recall which probably means it isn't heavily fragranced...I am not home right now but will double check when I get home and get back to you. I really do love the moisture and protection it gives my lips...I use it last thing at night as a sleeping mask as well as in my morning skin care routine. And it makes a great topper for lipstick as well. I also like the slightly tinted shades such as Sun Diego which gives a slightly peachy pink shimmer or Tinsel Town which is a cooler pink shimmer.
Tamara, in your opinion should I be concerned about hyperpigmentation using an led mask? I have a couple of sun spots. I’m 53 yrs old and waiting for the Black Friday sales to buy one. Still on the fence between the Omnilux and the Aduro. Which would you recommend? I don’t have any acne
According to google: "Numerous studies and clinical trials have investigated the efficacy of LED light therapy in treating melasma and skin discoloration. For instance, a randomized controlled trial published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology showed that patients who received LED light therapy exhibited significant improvements in melasma compared to those who underwent conventional treatments. Another study in the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology reported a reduction in pigmentation and improved skin texture among individuals with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation who underwent LED light therapy. As far as the difference between Aduro and Omnilux...I really like the fact that the Omnilux has a shorter treamtnet time. But the Aduro has more light color options to treat more issues. Also Omnilux is a USA company where as Aduro is European...I have heard that sometimes Aduro isn't super speedy with customer service issues which may be due to time zone and/or language differences? But I did enjoy Aduro and my cousin loves it. I am also curious about the new mask from QURE as well as the Current Body mask, but have not tried them yet.
Thank you so much for all of your wonderful videos! I have two questions first using the omnilux face mask face mask, do you find that it is uncomfortable on your nose? I always feel pressure and I don't have the straps tight at all no matter how I adjust the mask it bothers my nose.. my second question is I was under the impression that we can't combined vitamin C and peptides. You are doing that in the morning, is that okay? Sometimes it's so hard to keep track of the rules of layering and would appreciate clarification on this. Thank you so much in advance! Cris
Thank you Cristiner! I'm so glad you are enjoying my videos! That's a bummer that the Omnilux bothers your nose! I find the Omnilux very comfortable, even on my nose...but we are all different...maybe cushion with a little gause where it is bothering you? As far as Vitamin C and peptides....there is so much conflicting info out there. Interestingly enough DR=MTLGY Vitamin C serum also contains peptides...and Penn Smith demonstrated the Vitamin C serum followed by the Peptide Night Cream in a recent video so I am very comfortable using them together. Having said that I do like to let each step absorb for a few minutes before going to the next step. Hope this helps!
It depends on the SPF. Some set and dry down more quickly than others. The DR=MTLGY Broad spectrum sets fairly quickly so 5 or 10 minutes are enough. But there are some that I need to wait a full 20 minutes for them to set before applying my makeup. I often will dry my hair as my SPF sets and this usually works quite well. Hope this helps!
Yes! It offers both antioxidant and peptides plus is so very moisturizing. As the weather gets colder my skin gets dryer so I just pulled it out the other day and have been using it after Vitamin C and before my dark spot formula. It's an old fav for sure.

Hi Suzanne! I notice a difference, but it is so very subtle. It's more of a perking up type subtle lift. It's not going to do major lifting. Part of the reason I am loving it so much is it just makes sense, and it is so very enjoyable. There are other YT who have posted some pretty good before and after photos, as well as several people in the comment section saying they love their ZIIP. One lady said this is her 5th different micro current device and her fav of all of them. ZIIP does ship to Canada so I my code should work for you. Let me know if it doesn't work...

I am having so much trouble finding the right combination of products for moisturizing and a foundation that actually blends verses separating, settling into creases, flaking, drying, or the opposite - creating oily looking spots! I'm 52 and have combo skin that is super dry in winter. (Minnesota!) It seems like the ingredients in my skin care products are at fighting with the foundations I've tried. Is it an issue with formulas that have different bases like oil, water, or silicone? I try reading ingredient lists but they are so confusing! Do you have any advice?

Hi Tamara your skincare routine is paying off you look amazing . I have been enjoying the new MAYSAMA URCHIN - Cleansing and Skin Rejuvenation Device . Also Colorescience is having their BF 30% off sale so I ordered the flex, the primer and the No show mineral . I have the glow formula and I usually mix it in with a non tinted formula , Elta clear and I love it so I wanted to try their other products . So many of the other sunscreens I have been trying , unfortunately the Korean ones especially are breaking me out ! I’m doing process of elimination on all my skincare and I can’t figure out what it is . An esthetician told me it was vit. C So I stopped using it for a month now and it’s still happening . Yes, I don't cleanse in the morning before my maysamma and LED. I feel like the PM skin care has absorbed enough not to interfere with the mask. And I can't stand cleansing my skin without immediately going in with mositurizer which is another reason I do these treatments in the morning.
Tamara are you saying that you do not wash your face before using the Omnilux mask if use if before getting out of bed in the morning? Don't you need to wash off the Tretinoin cream from your skin that you applied the night before?
Hi Eileen! Yes, one of the reasons I do my red light in the morning, is I can't stand to cleanse my skin and not immediately put essences, serums and mositurizers on. Even with the gentlest of cleanser or rinsing my face with water, my skin feels too dry and tight if I cleanse without immediately flooding it with hydration. I know Red light directions say use on a clean face...and I believe my evening serums, creams etc., have absorbed enough to consider my face clean enough and free enough from product sitting on top of the skin to absorb Red Light effectively. Hope this helps!
I did enjoy the Aduro and originally loved the fact that it had 7 different light settings. But found I only used a couple of the settings. My cousing was having problems with acne so i gave her my Aduro as the blue light setting is great for acne, and I wanted to try the Omnilux. One of the things I love about the Omnilux is the treatment time is only 10 minutes as opposed to 20 min with the Aduro. But they are both good masks.
I personally would prioritize the mask for its overall health benefits. Check out my freind Cindy's channel Beyond50Skin. She just did two excellent dedicated videos deep diving into both LED and Microcurrent which you might find helpful.
They've been getting alot of buzz for sure. It seems like a great line...although a bit pricey. I do use their serum after micorneedlng per Claudia's reocmmendation. And I am currently trialing their hair growth treatment which involves stamping their hair growth serum on my scalp twice a week. I will get around to trying some of the other products and will share my thoughts at some point.

Yes, I do cleanse my face after my treatment. But if I did the treatment in the evening I could probably leave it on...especially the ones with the actives. It really does feel moisturizing.

I reordered DRMTLGY vitamin C5, and Needle-less serum, I still have enough peptide night cream left along with broad spectrum SPF and he universal Tinted moisturizer with SPF. I also use Avene SPF. I noticed how dry my skin was getting because I was only using a exfoliating cleanser AHA/BHA at night and morning. So now I'm using LaRoche-Posay hydrating gentle cleanser in the morning and that has made all the difference. I like your routine you share to us, that helps me know how to layer and apply my products. I just realized I might want to reorder B5 insteas which is vitamin C that works with someone like me, redness. Although C5 is working for me now. Your skin is gorgeous.
I always learned something from your videos Tamara. I’m really torn about buying the Omnilux because I have a red light mask already, but it’s heavy bulky plastic and I have to lie down to keep it on my face. I’m hoping it will break. I have the Ziip Halo and enjoy it and I also use the NuFace. I’m doubling up on my micro currents! I just had a so-called “Cool CO2 Laser Peel.” The “cool” bit is not true in advertising, but overall I’m happy.

My current favorite drugstore foundations are Revlon Skin Caring Illuminance Foundation which is medium coverage with just the prettiest satin glow. I also like Wet N Wild Tinted Hydrator...super easy and gives a satin light to medium coverage. L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable is also lovely as is Wet N Wild Photo Focus Dewy. They all work really well on my dry mature skin. It was so super nice to meet you and your darling daughter! ❤

I just purchased the ZIIP - strangely enough my daughter and I were discussing saggy skin and me especially the jaw line. I never used any of this type of item before only have used a Omnilux mask for 3 years. Hope it helps even if only a little ( a lot would be better, but I will take anything at this point)

Does the Omnilux fit your facial features? I have a petite face and when I put the mask on so my eyes are where the mask has them it causes my chin to be exposed at the hole where the mouth should be. So what I usually do is to raise the mask so the eye holes are over my eyebrows which allows my mouth to be in the correct position. I know you have a petite face, too, and am wondering if you have similar issues with the mask features, and how you deal with them?
Do you wash off the zip conducting gel?
I personally rinse it off. And follow with my cleanse. But the gels are moisturizing enough to leave on, though I haven’t tried it. Maybe if you do it at night after your cleanse you could leave the gel on.
Curious to try the City Lips Gloss but would love more detail on fragrance / plumping - is it minty or heavily fragranced? how intense is the tingling/stinging sensation for you?
Strangely there is no tingly sensation...as far as the fragrance, I don't recall which probably means it isn't heavily fragranced...I am not home right now but will double check when I get home and get back to you. I really do love the moisture and protection it gives my lips...I use it last thing at night as a sleeping mask as well as in my morning skin care routine. And it makes a great topper for lipstick as well. I also like the slightly tinted shades such as Sun Diego which gives a slightly peachy pink shimmer or Tinsel Town which is a cooler pink shimmer.
I have both a color version and the clear love them both and no fragrance that I notice and I am highly sensitive to scent

As far as the difference between Aduro and Omnilux...I really like the fact that the Omnilux has a shorter treamtnet time. But the Aduro has more light color options to treat more issues. Also Omnilux is a USA company where as Aduro is European...I have heard that sometimes Aduro isn't super speedy with customer service issues which may be due to time zone and/or language differences? But I did enjoy Aduro and my cousin loves it. I am also curious about the new mask from QURE as well as the Current Body mask, but have not tried them yet.

Thank you so much for all of your wonderful videos! I have two questions first using the omnilux face mask face mask, do you find that it is uncomfortable on your nose? I always feel pressure and I don't have the straps tight at all no matter how I adjust the mask it bothers my nose.. my second question is I was under the impression that we can't combined vitamin C and peptides. You are doing that in the morning, is that okay? Sometimes it's so hard to keep track of the rules of layering and would appreciate clarification on this. Thank you so much in advance! Cris
Thank you Cristiner! I'm so glad you are enjoying my videos! That's a bummer that the Omnilux bothers your nose! I find the Omnilux very comfortable, even on my nose...but we are all different...maybe cushion with a little gause where it is bothering you? As far as Vitamin C and peptides....there is so much conflicting info out there. Interestingly enough DR=MTLGY Vitamin C serum also contains peptides...and Penn Smith demonstrated the Vitamin C serum followed by the Peptide Night Cream in a recent video so I am very comfortable using them together. Having said that I do like to let each step absorb for a few minutes before going to the next step. Hope this helps!
I know you said you let the SPF rest a few minutes. How exactly long do you wait before applying makeup?
It depends on the SPF. Some set and dry down more quickly than others. The DR=MTLGY Broad spectrum sets fairly quickly so 5 or 10 minutes are enough. But there are some that I need to wait a full 20 minutes for them to set before applying my makeup. I often will dry my hair as my SPF sets and this usually works quite well. Hope this helps!

Yes! It offers both antioxidant and peptides plus is so very moisturizing. As the weather gets colder my skin gets dryer so I just pulled it out the other day and have been using it after Vitamin C and before my dark spot formula. It's an old fav for sure.

Hi Suzanne! I notice a difference, but it is so very subtle. It's more of a perking up type subtle lift. It's not going to do major lifting. Part of the reason I am loving it so much is it just makes sense, and it is so very enjoyable. There are other YT who have posted some pretty good before and after photos, as well as several people in the comment section saying they love their ZIIP. One lady said this is her 5th different micro current device and her fav of all of them. ZIIP does ship to Canada so I my code should work for you. Let me know if it doesn't work...

I am having so much trouble finding the right combination of products for moisturizing and a foundation that actually blends verses separating, settling into creases, flaking, drying, or the opposite - creating oily looking spots! I'm 52 and have combo skin that is super dry in winter. (Minnesota!) It seems like the ingredients in my skin care products are at fighting with the foundations I've tried. Is it an issue with formulas that have different bases like oil, water, or silicone? I try reading ingredient lists but they are so confusing! Do you have any advice?

Hi Tamara your skincare routine is paying off you look amazing . I have been enjoying the new MAYSAMA URCHIN - Cleansing and Skin Rejuvenation Device . Also Colorescience is having their BF 30% off sale so I ordered the flex, the primer and the No show mineral . I have the glow formula and I usually mix it in with a non tinted formula , Elta clear and I love it so I wanted to try their other products . So many of the other sunscreens I have been trying , unfortunately the Korean ones especially are breaking me out ! I’m doing process of elimination on all my skincare and I can’t figure out what it is . An esthetician told me it was vit. C So I stopped using it for a month now and it’s still happening . I might be using too many products . I actually started putting a drop of blue tansy essential oil in my moisturizer and it seems much better ☺️ Have a great week can’t wait to see your apt .!

Yes, I don't cleanse in the morning before my maysamma and LED. I feel like the PM skin care has absorbed enough not to interfere with the mask. And I can't stand cleansing my skin without immediately going in with mositurizer which is another reason I do these treatments in the morning.

Tamara are you saying that you do not wash your face before using the Omnilux mask if use if before getting out of bed in the morning? Don't you need to wash off the Tretinoin cream from your skin that you applied the night before?
Hi Eileen! Yes, one of the reasons I do my red light in the morning, is I can't stand to cleanse my skin and not immediately put essences, serums and mositurizers on. Even with the gentlest of cleanser or rinsing my face with water, my skin feels too dry and tight if I cleanse without immediately flooding it with hydration. I know Red light directions say use on a clean face...and I believe my evening serums, creams etc., have absorbed enough to consider my face clean enough and free enough from product sitting on top of the skin to absorb Red Light effectively. Hope this helps!

I did enjoy the Aduro and originally loved the fact that it had 7 different light settings. But found I only used a couple of the settings. My cousing was having problems with acne so i gave her my Aduro as the blue light setting is great for acne, and I wanted to try the Omnilux. One of the things I love about the Omnilux is the treatment time is only 10 minutes as opposed to 20 min with the Aduro. But they are both good masks.

They've been getting alot of buzz for sure. It seems like a great line...although a bit pricey. I do use their serum after micorneedlng per Claudia's reocmmendation. And I am currently trialing their hair growth treatment which involves stamping their hair growth serum on my scalp twice a week. I will get around to trying some of the other products and will share my thoughts at some point.

Yes, I do cleanse my face after my treatment. But if I did the treatment in the evening I could probably leave it on...especially the ones with the actives. It really does feel moisturizing.

I reordered DRMTLGY vitamin C5, and Needle-less serum, I still have enough peptide night cream left along with broad spectrum SPF and he universal Tinted moisturizer with SPF. I also use Avene SPF. I noticed how dry my skin was getting because I was only using a exfoliating cleanser AHA/BHA at night and morning. So now I'm using LaRoche-Posay hydrating gentle cleanser in the morning and that has made all the difference. I like your routine you share to us, that helps me know how to layer and apply my products. I just realized I might want to reorder B5 insteas which is vitamin C that works with someone like me, redness. Although C5 is working for me now. Your skin is gorgeous.
I always learned something from your videos Tamara. I’m really torn about buying the Omnilux because I have a red light mask already, but it’s heavy bulky plastic and I have to lie down to keep it on my face. I’m hoping it will break. I have the Ziip Halo and enjoy it and I also use the NuFace. I’m doubling up on my micro currents! I just had a so-called “Cool CO2 Laser Peel.” The “cool” bit is not true in advertising, but overall I’m happy.

My current favorite drugstore foundations are Revlon Skin Caring Illuminance Foundation which is medium coverage with just the prettiest satin glow. I also like Wet N Wild Tinted Hydrator...super easy and gives a satin light to medium coverage. L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable is also lovely as is Wet N Wild Photo Focus Dewy. They all work really well on my dry mature skin. It was so super nice to meet you and your darling daughter! ❤
