I like watching your vids because you show how fishing really is. You don't always catch. It's about getting out there and trying. Plus I love the way you use your own rigs. I always find it more satisfying when I catch a fish on a rig I've made myself. I'm sure in a few weeks time once the weather starts to turn for the good the fishing will pick up again. I'm from Northern Ireland so the water is still very cold at the min and the mullet have not moved in yet .that's my mission for this year to try and beat my BP of 4lb 8..🤞 well good luck all as you say in fishing you have to be in it to win it.

You work hard and put in the time to catch the fish. Realistic fishing, we all have blank days and shouldn’t let that put us off. Best of luck with the channel you deserve for it to grow. No reel bag for me please, I just admire your work ethic and wish you success.

I went out off Salcombe into the estuary on my kayak in July fishing. Was surprised how little there was. Not even a bite. I was shocked. Not even a mackerel. I used to live in Kerry in Ireland and it was a total different thing. Fish all year long from Bass, plaice, thornback, mackerel , turbot, ect. Love the channel, even when you don’t catch. This is the reality of fishing it’s often hit and miss. Beesands is quite a good place for bass and plaice but like everywhere else it’s dependant on the day. My kind of fishing.

Hi Paul, I'm a fit 75yr old lifelong (not very good) fisherman on the river Plym and surrounding areas, Caught countless schoolies around the Plympton sewer outlet (pre sewer days) in the 1960's incoming evening tide.. I watch endless fishing videos on social media for entertainment and instruction. You are unassuming , knowledgeable and entertaining. Got to go now, the wife's just called "you watching that blinking Bassmann videos again" says it all. Keep it up mate. I say mate as I feel watchers have an afinity with you, wingman etc. Len Bray

Yes the bassman yes the community...get on boys....I fished plym since 1970s....caught a herring once off the bridge. Sir Bassman-gordon makes me want to go back shore fishing. The only thing puts me off is crabs n snags but these pop ups seem to be a winner there.
Grate vlog Paul,it show's the real side to sea fishing, I'm a 💯 percent mullet angler and I do not want to go fishing for anything else,I enjoy watching your vlogs as it's a local angler fishing local mark's, you catch different fish at different times of the year,the rigs and bait are explained well and what tackle to use,I know 3 people who buy your rigs and use them every time they fish and like you they catch and don't catch but that's fishing, looking forward to your next vlog so until then take care and tight lines mate 👊🎣...p.s if I win the reel case I would like to donate it to another subscriber of your vlog 🤞.

I love your videos because you dont peddle the usual narrow list of Century or AFAW rods and reels .. you prove that there are l9ts of quality brands all of which catch fish - which you prove - and im a lover of Blackrock i have their travel spin 6pce Travel Spin Geotrex 10/11ft ( 12417300/30-100g lures ) its around 15yrs old now superb quality with SiC guides.

Hi Paul, love your channel. What I like is that you are very entertaining. I'd say you are - in a nice way - self deprecating and fun to watch, although I'm guessing inside you are screaming when the fish don't play ball - like all of us. I like the rigs you do, ordered a few myself which is unusual for me as I always do my own, but I do like the look of them. Keep it up mate you do a great job.

Howya buddy, I enjoy the channel for a number of reasons but I would have to say I the number one reason would be yourself. You bring good positive energy to your presenting style and that is refreshing. But overall your channel is very good. I am looking forward to learning more about the Gilt head bream fishing as I have never caught one, they are still a bit localised over here in Ireland manly to the south coast bit few around south east too and that is a good 4 hour drive for me. Good luck with the channel and tight lines 👍

I come from Newcastle where the fishing is very limited in species. I love how you can catch all year round with videos showing all types of fishing including the blanks. Your tips & info help make trips more successful as since i have to travel for anything but cod (lol) it helps to know how to fish for other species before going out on travels.

I am from South Devon (Brixham) but been living in Melbourne for the last 26 years. It is great to see you fishing in the areas I used to fish regularly, especially Salcome/Kingsbridge/Slapton/Beesands. They haven't changed a bit (Apart from the fishing by the looks of it! 🎣😂 didn't catch so many dogfish in those days! 😂). Your channel reminds me what I am missing, fishing with good mates, having a laugh and of course the beautiful scenery which is the South Hams. Great content Paul, love the banter with you and Wingman. I could have done with your pop up rigs 30 years ago as I must have lost a fortune in ragworm and peeler to bloody crabs! 😂🦀🦀🦀
