A Thor Sequence is about $60K less than what I paid for a 20ft Ford Transit based class B. It's all about trade-offs and cost is one of the biggest. I went with a cassette toilet because I didn't want to mess with the hassle of a black holding tank. It's funny how polarized the opinions are of the two systems. I prefer either system over peeing in to a "separator" that fills up a bottle. You need to run your generator on a regular basis. I didn't on our previous RV and that was a mistake. If you run your generator the electrical plugs and cell phone charging plugs in the galley work and you can run the Microwave. We just took a 2 week trip 5700 mile in a 2021 Sequence 20L, we are the second owner. Had no problem pulling into a rest stop on the interstate, parking, starting up generator, Microwaving 2 baking potatoes, warming up frozen premade meatloaf, warming up a can of green beans and having a meal ready to eat in 20 minutes. Hot dogs and tata tots in 10 minutes with micowave parked in Loves parking lot with generator running, AC and Microwave running at the same time a little to much for the generator. Money we saved by not eating in reastraunts each day helped pay for the $5.89 a gallon gas in Califorina, $2.89 to $3.39 most of the other states. We bought ours because it had the shower curtain hanging on a rail system. No having to put up shower curtain by sticking curtain magnets in the right spots like some other brands. Engine and transmission worked great, had no problem with HP in 75 MPH speed zones pulling long hills. We had two recharagable fans that we already had, to keep us cool in campsites that had quite time that we could not run the generator for AC. We used the gas heat for 4 nights, which also makes hot water at the same time. Yes, a place for our eye glasses and cell phone at night is something we need to fix. Our next trip we will leave our driver side bed back cushions at home, we never needed to set on the bed during the day. You gave a good review, and yes the sewer hose door for storage is a joke. The door is only good for someone to ask, what goes in there.
Thanks for your honest review. My wife and I are traveling to FL this Friday to pick ours up. I like all the modifications you did. Gives me allot of ideas of my own. We've been wanting a class B for a long time. We have a 35' Winnebago Sunova but we like the versatility of a class B. Thanks again for the video. In regards to the accuracy of the tank levels our water tank meter in our Winnebago Sunova has never been accurate from day 1 and if you don't catch it when your filling them and it starts running out of the over flow hose it then for some odd reason starts siphoning out the water you just fill the tank with 😫
Even the awnings with wind sensors are not safe leave unattended. They only react after a wind gust and if the gust is too strong, they are gone. The general rule is only to have them out when you are using them, never leave them out unattended and never overnight. For boondocking or use when not on shore power, using the generator is a must and that is why it is there. The generator will give you full use of all the features and functions of your van. The only way around this would be getting a unit with lithium power, no lp and no generator.
Good points. Thank you. Some of the larger RVs and trailers have much stronger and simpler designed awnings (though far less aerodynamic and some are manually cranked). They would stand up much better in the wind and be less expensive to repair. If I build my own van conversion, I will look for other alternative awning styles.
The Rangeline looks interesting but I think the bed is too high. the Solstice and Swift (Jayco) lithium versions don't have propane which I am also finding attractive.@@leokaminski411
Question. What, if anything is under the non-galley side bed? Do you think that bed could be easily removed? I'd need that space for floor to under cabinet vertical storage. Thanks.
Yes, the passenger side bed could be removed, however the 27 gallon fresh water tank is under that bed, next to the wall. But there is also storage space there, about 1 ft x 1.5 ft x 6 ft. The galley side bed has the heater/water heater and plumbing underneath.
The layout is NICE! BUT the quality is terrible! Have seen so many videos about quality issues with Thor. Just can't bring myself to shell out that much money for such lackluster "quality". Thanks for your review!

Also, my preference would be to have more lithium batteries and not have propane or a generator. The Airstream Rangeline is an example of this trend.
