I'd love to see you react to Air by Jason Becker. A brilliant virtuoso who's career was cut way too short. I believe he was about 19 when he composed Air. A masterpiece. Arpeggios forever

This debut album is something to behold... Some beautiful compositions. Been a fan since this came out.
I bought Marching Out in the 80s..I wore it out in no time.
He's a master on the stratocaster !!!!!!!
I remember listening to this album (or vinyl rather) for the first time!! I remember Mike Varney of the guitar magazine "Guitar player" speculating if Yngwie was a son of the devil (or something similar)... No one had every heard this guitarplaying back then, with an electric guitar! I remember this LP being worn out, after a couple o years of listening... A total masterpiece!! More, please! 🙂
He was just 20 when this was recorded. Lot of things had happend and many band members later he is just as good, but I think he is more relaxet and happier now than ever.
Yngwie is a legend for very good reason. His live show is an athletic exhibition of speed, agility, aerobic health, and never enfing improvisation. Ive seen him a good 10 times, and though he always plays it well, he changes it so often it never gets stale. I put him on equal ground with every all time great. Game changing musician who made most of us look at his ideas and send us back to the woodshed. Fantastically gifted.
I'm so glad you played this. I grew up listening to malmstein. I was involved in a car accident and. Spent. Years in bed. All I had was one Malmstein.tape. I played it all the time with guitar Then years later. I got a chance. To see. Him at. Jimmy z's. In Everett Washington 1994. I got a chance to sit down and. And drink beer with him. just me and him Then a fight broke out Some guy was drunk and talking down to.malmstein Me and malmstein End it up Smashing into each other on the bar It was so cool to Have a chance to stick up For your guitar. Hero I'll never forget that night. It made my whole life.😊😊😊😊😊
Yngwie became a speed freak after some point but I do love his early stuff, not just guitar playing but composition, arrangement, structure, emotion, etc. And this is definitely one of the greatest guitar instrumental songs ever. He deserves to be admired for just this one tune.

You're exactly right, Jone. He's good at what he does. And I like what he does because I like classical music and rock music. And I think an electric guitar, played well, is the best instrument going. So many different sounds can be made with it. And the stratocaster is the best of the bunch, for me.
The guitar play in this tune makes me get goosebumps, Even thinking about it! Listened to This as it came out & he was the ONLY ONE playing This neoclassical metal!! Love the guitar sound & when he makes the guitar cry!! ❤🤘🤘
À la sortie de cet album, en 1984, j'avais 16 ans, et je me souviens encore de la claque reçue ce jour-là, identique à celle reçue, un an auparavant, en découvrant "Kill' Em All" de Metallica. J'écoutais ces albums en boucle, ce fut une véritable révolution et aujourd'hui encore près de 40 ans plus tard, j'ai toujours autant de frissons.... Check out Vinnie Moore - Time Odyssey if you like Yngwie you will like Vinnie Moore, he's the American version of Yngwie. If you like classical guitar check out his song Barcelona it's amazing guitar work.

If you are wanting another album to review, listen to Lou Reed Rock n Roll Animal, Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner are amazing on this album, Rising Force is my favorite Yngwie album, this is my favorite song on it as well
