Strongly disagree. If you want to argue the 2022 Padres is among the top handful in MLB playoffs history at least in the past 40-50 years, no argument. With that said in my lifetime (been following MLB since about 1983) there are several upsets that are bigger IMO in no order. 1)2001 Yankees shocking the 116 win Seattle Mariners in the ALCS. 2)1988 Dodgers over both the Mets and A’s in the pre wild card era. 3)1990 Reds over both the Barry Bonds led Pirates and then Mark McGuire/Jose Canseco PED led A’s. 4)2001 Diamondbacks over the Yanks in the 9/11 themed World Series.m 5)2006 Cardinals over the Tigers in the World Series. 6)2023 Diamondbacks over the Dodgers. Those playoff shockers in the past 40 years was much bigger than San Diego’s one in ‘22.
@@americangiant1003 Disagree with the 90 reds being an upset - that team went wire to wire and dominated all year. They’re perhaps the most underrated team in history.
@@agoogleuser2605 Ok maybe not “shock the world” type as the other teams on my list(along with majority of Sports/MLB Commentators and Fans)of historical playoff upsets. With that said, it was a major surprise that the 1990 Reds Won over the A’s especially in a 4-game sweep. 🧹
